These sandals were instantly comfortable. So much so that I ordered another pair in a different color. I normally wear a size 11 shoe, and bought size 42 which was perfect.

I love these sandals. I have a very high arch and typically cannot wear sandals with straps over the top of my foot. These not only support my arch, but are VERY comfortable. Happy owner of two pair now! I usually wear a 38 - but needed 36.

Beautiful shoe. I got it in the light brown snake and it's just gorgeous. When I received it, wore it right out the box and it was perfect--for about a week or two. Then the shoe felt loose so I tightened the strap on it (it's adjustable). This was good for about 2 days. I think the problem is that I'm a 9.5. Usually in a sandal I wear a 9. But in this shoe, my toes hung over in the 9. Now I realize the 10 is too roomy. But I'm still wearing them. If they were a little more secure around my food, they would be perfect.

Helen is the most comfortable sandal I've worn. This is my 5th pair. I get a new pair every year or so. For the most part it looks good with capris, jeans, shorts, and casual dresses.

I have worn this style from Mephisto for several years and it is my absolute favorite for comfort, support and style. I've had many people of all ages compliment how it looks! I take them on all trips and they are just perfect for any amount of walking! Love!

I put these on and wore them on a vacation; they were wonderfully comfortable! And I got compliments every day. The straps look like satin ribbon and are really cute.

Very comfortable. I usually wear Birks but wanted to try something different. Glad I did. Only thing, they run a little more narrow.

This is my 4th pair of these over the years. These sandals are comfortable from the moment you take them out of the box! Buy these... you will thank me! I usually take a 7 or 7.5, medium width. A 7 fits perfectly. Zappos service ROCKS! They were delivered lightening fast!

I have been using this same sandal for years. It is extremely comfortable and long lasting. With my balance problems, this shoe creates great stability. A very reliable shoe!

These shoes are so comfy! I was worried about the toe strap being a bother but it is just great. I love these shoes and plan to order another pair in a fun color!

LOVE this sandal! Put it on right out of the box and it's true to size and perfect! Comfortable and feels secure in all the right places. I don't like wearing an open sandal that feels like a flip flop. This has great arch and strap support. I can't say enough good things about it. I searched and searched and I'm happy that I found this sandal!! I'm ordering another pair in a different color now!

I personally loved this shoe and wore them constantly all last summer. So comfortable and can take a beating. I highly recommend them

Really well made with quality materials. The foot bed molds to your foot after several wears and they become the most comfortable shoes ever. A bit on the narrow side, though, but that wasn't a problem for me. Definitely an antidote to the flat skimpy sandals out there, yet they don't look geriatric--hurray! Also I think these are way better than Birkenstocks, which I find to be too wide and make your feet look flat and wide too.

I have arch and heel problems and this is the only sandal I have found that I can wear without arch supports and my feet still feel great. Stylish and sophisticated looking. It is my go to best sandal. I buy a new pair or two every year. They are worth the money.

Very comfortable and well-built. And my foot doctor is very happy - he says they are very good for my feet! I love the classic look of these shoes.

Years ago I purchased this shoe in brown and wear them more than any others. It seems to conform to my feet after awhile, and the footbed is scooped a little, which only added to the comfort level. I thought it was time to buy them in black. I think it will take a few wearings for them to be as soft and comfy as my old brown ones, but I know it will happen. Also, please note that a size 38 is a U.S. size 8. This is different from most European sizing, where 39 is an 8 to 8 1/2, the size I usually wear. Got a 38 in these and they fit perfectly.

I cannot say enough how comfortable these shoes are! I have wide feet and they fit me perfectly. Good support. The leather in the toe needs to be broken in, as does all leather, but it has softened very quickly. I will be ordering more of this brand in the future. Well crafted and comfortable shoe!

I ordered several pairs of casual sandals because, after suffering from a bulging lower disk, I'm being forced to rethink my shoe wardrobe. I love my leather Rainbow sandals and have them in several colors, but the fact is that they are too flat and too hard on my back. So I ordered Naots and Mephistos and decided, ultimately, to keep the Mephisto Helen in the buffalo brown. They will take some getting used to, but I wore them all day yesterday, did a lot of walking, and I definitely can say they will be better for my back than the flat leather Rainbows. According to Mephisto, I needed 40's -- which they say are a 10. I normally wear a 41 in European sizes but followed the Mephisto sizing suggestion. They were slightly too short and not quite right. So I ordered the 41s and they were a better fit. I love stylish shoes so it's been hard for me to even look at the "comfort" brands, but I have to admit that the Helen is not bad looking. I can see me wearing them with jeans or shorts. Not sure they will be all that cute with summer skirts, though.

The only remedy to my sore feet & aching back. Third pair I've purchased & they've all held up for years under daily wear & continual trying circumstances. Highly recommend!

This is my second pair of Mephisto's. The first pair purchased years ago and they were too big and rubbed my feet to the point where they were unwearable. This pair is different. I normally wear a 7-7/12. Ordered the 38 but was unsure about them so I also ordered the 37. Turns out the 38 was the right fit. They cradle my arch and provide wonderful support to the toes. My aging feet have problems they never had before and this saddle is very comfortable. The straps fit loose. There is a buckle for adjustments across the instep, trust me you will use it. I bought the copper metallic color and I like it. The sandal isn't what I would consider cute but it isn't bad looking either considering that it's made for support and comfort, which it definitely provides. I haven't walked long distances in this sandal yet but I have no doubt that it will be comfortable when I do. For reference I have a high arch and instep and a narrow heel. You might have to get used to the loose fit of this sandal. I think it's made to be that way intentionally.

I have been wearing these shoes for over 15 years. A doctor friend recommended them when I was having some chronic foot pain and they are so comfortable and flattering that I just keep buying them. I have them in tan, white, brown, silver, and black. I wear the black ones practically every day and after they start looking too worn (usually two years) I rotate them outside where they become my gardening shoes. I have a mild bunion and the cut of the shoe not only doesn't irritate it but I think it sort of disguises it. I'm so used to these shoes that they almost bore me but comfort is more important. I have a closet full of all kinds of cute shoes which I rarely wear and when I do find myself tottering around in some stylish wedge or squished into an uncomfortable flat I usually wish I were wearing my Mephistos.

Mephisto Helen has come to my rescue! No need for orthotics. I have these in just about every color they make! Walking, standing...OOOHH so COMFORTABLE!

Perfect sandal. Great support in all the right places. The fun color (orange) makes this look like it's not an "old lady" shoe! They are very expensive, but my feet are worth it.

I did not follow the suggestions to size up and had to return. I am a solid 10 in shoes and had to go up to an 11. Very comfy to wear and no need to break them in. The nude color is very hip and virtually just blends in to your foot! I was worried they would look like old lady shoes (I am 43), but they don't.
