Wow! So comfortable. I could walk for miles in these sandals. The turquoise boa is really attractive. They don't look clunky on my feet which are on the narrow side of medium. I usually wear an 8 1/2 to 9 in dress shoes, 9 1/2 in athletic shoes. A 39 is perfect for me.

I am so glad to have these sandals. Due to nerve damage, surgery, and plantar fasciitis, I have difficulty with fit. These sandals support my feet well and have a short break in period. They are better feeling than my previous Birkenstocks. A bit thicker and softer. They have become my go to shoes for summer. The adjustable strap allows me to wear a slide that stays put on my narrow feet. The pricing prevents me from purchasing more colors, but I would certainly like to!

I purchased my Helen by Mephisto in a two tone nubuck locally over 10 years ago. I love them so much. It was perfect when I had very large bunions and waited to have surgery. Post surgery they were the best sandal to wear with the terrific arch support. No fatigue wearing these all day. I highly recommend this style. I also recently purchased the Violette style with the flower on the front in a platinum color. Very stylish and looks great when dressing Up some. Highly recommend Mephisto!!

Great shoes if you need arch support. This is my second pair of the same shoe. I still wear the first pair but they were starting to look a little dirty. Held up well.

These were my first pair of Mephisto and they are wonderful. I have a narrow foot and hoped the adjustable strap would solve that problem and it did. They were comfortable from the first day! Thank you Zappos!

Love this sandal but had to return for two reasons: 1) the orange color is more of a burnt orange rather than a vibrant "tangerine" as appears in the photo. 2) I missed the info in the reviews where reviewers inform that you need to order a size up. (I ended up ordering a different style one size up.) Super comfy footbed! Leather upper was comfy!

I love these Mephisto sandals, but they are difficult to find where I live. I ordered online (something I almost never do) and they were the wrong size which was my fault. I dreaded the exchange process, but found working thru Zappos was incredibly easy. Their customer service is second to none!

These are the most comfortable sandals! I've worn them everyday for the last week and my plantar fascia hasn't bothered me. Definitely worth the investment. I have narrow feet and these work just fine.

Finally! Shoes comfortable right out of the box! I love everything about them, color, support, look. I want every color!

For years I have wanted a pair of Mephisto Helen but always hesitated because of the price. But, I finally decided this was the year to give them a try and I absolutely love this pair of sandals. The Desert Buffalo Leather is just lovely and the comfort is outstanding. I regret that I did not try these sandals sooner. I wear an 8.5 and the size 39 was perfect.

I need a shoe with good arch support. I have a bad back and a pronate. You can tell it's a well made shoe that will provide arch support for a long time. The sandal is a little heavier and stiffer than some sandals, but that is due to the quality materials used. Still a much better option for me than wearing a tennis shoe to the zoo or the park.

It's not news to Mephisto customers that these sandals are the most comfortable on the market. I have a high arch and these are much more comfortable than its competitors. I did want to say that I took a chance on the grey etna and it is fabulous. It has a subtle shimmery surface that makes it much more versatile than a flat gray. It works much better for a slightly dressy look than the more basic colors I usually get. And about Zappos - what can I say? I ordered a 39 instead of a 40, and it turned out to be a bit small. I did the easy exchange in seconds. Zappos just has the best service of any on-line company - and I buy everything on line! Another plus: I rarely find that the shoe or boot I want is out of stock. Zappos does a great job of maintaining enough inventory for its uber-fast service. Keep up the good work!

Very comfortable for long periods of walking. For a "comfort" shoe, they're really cute! The silver matches everything from shorts to skirts....

These shoes are great and really comfortable with the built in orthodec after a sprained ankle or used them once before after broken feet. This particular style is sylish which is an extra bonus. VERY comfortable!

This is the most comfortable sandal I have ever owned. This is my second pair of black ones and I also have a pair in brown. I wear these sandals most of the time because I have had plantar fasciitis and they really give great arch support. I've had my first pair for several years so they wear well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

This is my second pair of Mephisto Helen sandals, I have on in black and now in off white, which goes with everything! it is a nice soft white, hard to find a white sandal that you love, but this is the one! It's the best combination of comfort and style. The foot bed is so amazingly comfortable, it fits my arch so well and cradles my heel, but it is not a clunky look, they are very stylish and go with anything from shorts to skirts to sundresses. I can go for long walks in them, as well as wear them out when I dress up casually. I have gotten so many compliments on the style. I am thinking of purchasing this same style in the brown - again, that would go with anything!

These are the best sandals for doing lots of walking & aligning my back; feel great after work in other shoes. The arch support is what I need. Wore out the first pair I got, I bought for a trip to Europe 15 years ago. They worked beautifully. The patent leather looks a little dressier when I wanted to be comfortable. I usually wear a 7 1/2, but fit into 38 which is like an 8. Not sure if Mephisto still replaces the leather cork bed for 1/2 price, if it wears out before the straps. Still, the best sandal, has a suede leather insole, so not directly on cork, I like these better than that other brand, Birk.

These sandals represent my feet's trip to paradise. They are so comfortable, and they look much better on the foot than in the photos on Zappos without a foot in them. I have a high arch and have been experiencing heel pain, but my feet were blissful walking in these sandals.

I love these. I have 3 pair in different colors. I don't have to wear my custom orthotics with these. They have changed my summers!

Love these! No breaking in necessary, comfortable from day one. Second pair that I've owned. They are very well made and last forever. Absolutely worth every penny!

This shoe would be great except that it runs small and a bit narrow. The footbed was comfortable and I would've definitely kept them had they been long enough. Unfortunately I had to return them.

First about me, I have really bad foot problems. I'm 33 and have already had plantar fasciatis, achilleds tendonitis, and I have a benign tumor in my right foot called a plantar fibroma. So it's hard for me to find shoes. I have custome orthotics that I can wear in my gym shoes and for any other shoes, I can wear a Jill's gel and sometimes it helps. So I went to a local shoe store and tried on some Birkenstocks. I thought these could do well for me since I've heard that they conform to your feet the more you wear them. I wore them around the house for a few days and they just were not going to work, so I returned them. I had heard about Mephistos and tried a pair on at the store. HEAVEN! I was instantly in love with them, but they didn't have the color I wanted in the size I needed. They said they could order them, but it would take 7 to 10 days. Seriously? I'm all for giving local business as much of my business as possible, but I wanted these shoes ASAP. So I came here to Zappos and ordered them and got them in two days! Today is my first full day of wearing them. Feels great on my left foot. I'm wearing my Jill's Gel on my problem foot and it has been okay today. I worked out a little too hard yesterday, so that's why I may be having some pain. Again, I am a special case. I really like the style of the shoes. I'm still fairly youngish, but I don't feel these look too grandma on me at all. I like the style quite a bit. If these work out well over time, I would love to get them in more colors. There are pricey, but I have problem feet and in my case, money isn't a huge factor. Comfort is more important as far as your feet go and you shouldn't sacrifice them to something that might be inferior or just for the sake of being trendy. On a side note, I sold shoes at Dillard's for four years and I've seen a lot of scary things. Take care of your feet, ladies! Cute trendy shoes are not worth it in the long run!

My favorite summer sandal; this is my fifth pair. Patent leather provides a dressy look. Wonderful arch support and comfortable insole that never gets slippery.

This is my third pair of "Helen", love them, fit perfect, true to size, I have a narrow foot and have worn Naots and Birkenstocks in similar styles but doesn't compare to the comfort and fit in these, lots of options in colors too.
