Initially I thought they were too tight but I kept them on and in a few hours the leather stretched to fit like a glove!

There's really nothing wrong with the sandals. Due to health issues I can not wear them. They are beautiful and I LOVE Naot brand. Zappo is awesome...no issues :-)

I love Naots in part because I know the last fits my feet perfectly. I wear a 10.5 or 11 Narrow (AA). These shoes have more "fit" than many sandals in that there is a lot of leather on the upper. They fit my feet perfectly. It seemed that might mean they wouldn't fit so well for someone whose foot was truly a B width or wider--but that's only a guess.

I just received my sandals about an hour ago. I ordered 5 different pairs, all having similar looks, and these blew the others away. Of course they were the most expensive out of the 5, but well worth it. I expect them to last a very long time.

I already have a pair of these in black and just love them! They are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. They have European sizing and I wear a 7-1/2, so the size 38 fits perfectly.

I need the shoe in either a W width or a size larger, as my bunions need a little more room. The shoe is sturdy, well made, and appears to be comfortable.

This is my SECOND pair of the exact shoe, four years later it was time for a new pair. It takes a couple of weeks to get the new leather working right with my toe, but after that I hope to have another four years of comfort!

I bought this shoe because I have plantar fasciitis, This is excellent for that. My feet do not hurt when I wear this sandal. They are very comfortable and I have 2 other colors which are no longer sold. Very sad about that. I hope they keep making this sandal as I am on a fixed income and can not buy very often. I love this sandal. Highly recommend.

now that i have problems with balance i cannot have a cushy shoe..these work perfect. I love love love them Purchasing them in black..I love the firm shoe bed. I do not want shoes that flex and feel like gel.

I slipped them on and it was instant comfort that I expect from NAOT.

This is my first pair of Naot, and I am pretty impressed. Not only is the style cute, but the shoe itself is extremely comfortable and stable-feeling. The suede material of the footbed also feels super-soft on the bottoms of my feet! (Weird thing to notice, maybe, but I do notice.) I love these sandals. When you pay $150 for a pair of shoes, they need to be "right," and these are. While they are light, they also feel quite sturdy, as if they will stand up to a lot of wear. I'm wearing these to work in a business casual environment, and there's no flip-flopping noise to speak of. There does seem to be a slight rise in the arch area, so there is a little arch support, but it's nothing close to what you get with a Birkenstock. These are quite comfortable for walking and standing, either way. The only thing that would make me love these shoes more is if the suede of the footbed was also black instead of tan. But they're still great, and I'm going to enjoy wearing them for a long time.

I loved the look of the shoe, it's true to size. Unfortunately I am returning the shoes because the toe loop is very hard and uncomfortable.

This is the fourth pair of Monterey that I’ve had in various colors. I wear them for years traveling and they are absolutely wonderful last about three years

I have purchased these shoes in the past, so I do order one size larger and it fits perfect. It's the perfect heel height and has great arch support. Also, they are not so bare, so great for my job.

I love this shoe. It is stylish and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I had to return these sandals. The foot bed was comfortable, and the shoes were well-made. I read other reviews about how narrow this brand runs, so I ordered a size larger. This made them a bit too long, and they were still a bit tight. If not for the price, I probably would have kept them and tried to break them in a bit - they ma have fit, but for the price (and I am more than willing to pay for comfortable shoes!!!), they were a little too tight for comfort. I have a lot of "foot issues," so this is not good for me. I think I would have been miserable if I tried to wear them all day. I think these would be perfect for a person with a narrower foot. This is a stable and well-made shoe, and it looks really good. If NAOT made a wider width, I would absolutely try this brand again.

Fits true to size. Nice leather. The style is great for feet like mine. I have bunyon sort of tendency but not quite as bad as some peoples. Just makes feet look a bit rough. I thought the insole could have just a bit more padding but it is good. Nice quality shoe and no one should mind paying the price for it.

Beautiful shoe that can be dressy. It fits around the soul and heel with the heel bed, which makes a stable and comfortable feel. Wish it came in bright summer colors. The first time I wore them, I worried that the big toe part would dig into my nail bed, but on second and third wearing, it was fine.

Noat shoes are very well made and comfortable. I like this shoe. It's stylish and fun to wear with summer clothes. I thought it would take some time to break them in because I have bunions. But, I wore them all day and they were fine the very first day. I know they will mold to my feet with more wearings.

I love these sandals. I'm fairly young but have arthritis in big toe joints and these shoes work perfectly for me. Good footbed and stability. These aren't delicate sandals by any means but they are comfortable and look good if this is your style.

I have been wearing the Monterey since 2004 when I moved overseas to East Africa. I literally wore these sandals everyday for several years and only replace them once every three years or so. I am now back in the U.S. and i continue to wear this style all summer. They feel like walking on pillows! I have never owned a more comfortable, durable sandal. I wear a size 7.5 U.S. and a 38 is perfect for me in this shoe.

I love this shoe so much! I suffer from heel spurs and general foot pain. I could wear this shoe everyday. I have them in both black and brown.
