Super sandal! Very comfortable right out of the box. I ordered them to my Mom's house in Florida, and then proceeded to wear them for three days non-stop at Disney World with no discomfort of any kind. I have plantar fasciitis and shoes are a real problem for me sometimes. I am able to lift out the insole of these and drop in my own orthotic if I want to, but I have to admit that Naot's own insert is more comfortable, though I am sure my doctor would not approve. The black crinkle patent leather makes them kind of cute. An extra boon, in the world of sensible sandals. The final comment I'll make: these are much more comfortable than the Mephisto sandals that I bought in London and paid a fortune for.

This is a perfect sandal for those of us who wear AFOs for foot drop. I remove the cork bed, shave it down with a sharp knife, to allow the shoe depth needed to accommodate the brace material. I have it in every color plus two black and two platinum. One for everyday and one for dressier. Adjustable Velcro straps keep it comfortable. Easy going through airport security. Works well with socks in cooler weather. I have tried over 100 Zappos' shoes to work with an AFO and have sent almost all back. This one works! And it looks good if you aren't too girlie girl.

These shoes are wonderful. I have a 9-1/2 narrow foot and have trouble finding shoes that fit properly and give the support I need. Naot's size 40 works for me. They were very comfortable from the moment I put them on and even more comfortable as they molded to my foot. I can walk all day without my feet hurting. The adjustable strap is perfect and give me the opportunity to custom fit my narrow foot. What a bonus... they're even cute!

These were recommended by my podiatrist because they are very comfortable and can take orthotic inserts if necessary. The footbed felt great but I was very disappointed for two reasons: 1) They are a narrow medium, so my medium-wide feet require that a bunch of the velcro shows. That's ugly, especially since the velcro color is a poor match for the leather. 2) The position of the ankle strap seemed to push my foot forward, so that there was extra space behind my heel. The amount of empty innersole was very odd and unattractive too.

This is a second review now that I have worn the shoe for a whole season. This sandal is hands down the best shoe I have ever worn. I am getting a replacement footbed because I have worn out the original! The footbed has stabilized my ankles and bad knees such that there is no more pain when walking, not only with this sandal but with other shoes too. I wear my usual size 8 with this open sandal but need a 9 for closed Naot shoes. The platinum color works with all my warm weather neutral color clothing.

This is my third pair of these shoes. Does that tell you anything? I really like the metallic, look, a little dressier. Noats are my brand of choice for comfort.

Longtime Naot fan -
As a frequent Israel tourist, I have long known of the delight of Naot sandals. Now that I'm older and have wide feet, I would be grateful if Naot would make sandals in widths too! I can guarantee an American market for them!

Thankfully my orthotics will fit in these sandals and not fall out the back. There is absolutely no arch support built in. I have narrow feet and even with my inserts, the straps are still cinched to the ends of the Velcro. I do not recommend these for women with narrow feet. Love the color!

I tried these shoes first in size 40. I wear a 9.5 in US sizes. It seemed short compared to other 40's i have and my big toe went over the side and front edge. I ordered a 41 and although it fit a little better, my big and my little toe both sat on top of the edge where the footbed fits into the shoe. At first I thought that the footbed may break in a little and my toes might fit in. But I decided to return the 41 also since I don't want to take a chance on a shoes that costs $140 in the hopes that it might break in and fit. As others have stated, these shoes run narrow and in my case they ran a little short also.

I purchased my Karenna sandals, below, in *2012* here at Zappos. *I'm still wearing them, and they are still wonderful.* I finally ordered a pair of replacement footbeds - long overdue. I live in these and another pair of Naot sandals, with high ankle support for walking, all summer. I did just order a pair of Enid sandals to see if I like them better, or simply to have another choice for my difficult-to-please feet. I live in Vermont, so I also wear these with socks in cooler weather here at home. Simply the best footwear I have ever owned. I paid $140 for them originally, so that's only $14 a year. Slow, durable, sustainable fashion. I love it.

My 92-year-old mother loves these sandals. She likes style but needs stability and support. Karenna was the answer. Adjustable straps (easy-on-easy-off) are indispensable for times when her feet swell. Footbed seems especially good for wide feet and high arches. An all round high quality, well-designed sandal.

My 2nd pair of this shoe, and for some reason these are cut a little different from my other pair, but still love the shoes. A sandle, but feels like more support with the sides covered.

These sandals have taken me through Italy, Cape Cod and my daily life at home -- they are the best! They don't hurt or chafe and the heel height is just right for endless, pain-free walking. I have other Naot sandals, but Karenna is the best.

I really love these sandals. I have a number of foot problems, including pretty bad bunions, and have had trouble finding sandals that were comfortable. These are cushy feeling, they provide arch support, and they look nice. I've also worn them with my orthotics replacing the insoles. They'd be difficult to wear in dressy situations (although try the lizard and cracked patent versions), but they're great in more casual ones.

Love these shoes!
I bought my pair just before we left for Italy. I was a little nervous about taking new shoes on a trip without breaking them in, but I was worried for nothing. The shoes were like old friends the minute I put them on. I walked in them for a month in Italy. Never wore any other shoes. They were great!

I just took the Naot Karennas out of their box about 15 minutes ago. My left heel has been bothering me (plantar fascitis, maybe?) and I was hoping for a pair of shoes that would help. The fit is perfect, the heel is deep and cushioned, and they support the arch of my foot. I've been walking around the house in them, and the pain is less. I hope to walk a lot in these! They look good, too!

This is my first pair of Naot sandals after discovering and falling in love with Matai and Kirei last winter. Karenna does not seem as wide or cushy as the Matai or Kirei, but with the adjustable toe hook and loop closure, it is easy to adjust the width. The leather straps were a bit stiff when I first put them on, but they softened up and do not bother me anymore. At 60 years old, 5'6" tall and heavy, and I am able to wear these shoes shopping, walking in the city, museum hopping all day long. I will be getting more sandals with the similar removable footbed in the future. They look a little clunky, so I will try a pair that looks a little dressier next time, too.

These are great shoes! My feet are thin, so I had to add a pad to fill them in a bit and I may get the straps shortened, still, with all that they are extremely comfortable and I know I will wear them for years to come. The footbed is contoured so that the foot feels cradled which is a plus for my less than perfect sense of balance. European sizing usually does not fit me, but the length is good on these.

Easy to put on. Went down a size and would go down two sizes smaller if my right foot didn't swell so bad.
Needed a shoe that would get me on my feet and this does it very well. A stroke makes me unbalanced and this shoehas bottoms that stays flat.
Have had for a month, so I hope it will work for me.
I have wideer on one foot and this made it so I can have wide on one foot.

I already knew I'd like these sandals becasue I'd had a pair in a dfferent color. I like this color because it doesn't show the inevitable smudgy marks of my toes. They're very comfortable as well as stylish.

This is my second pair of Naot's Karenna sandal -- the first pair, which I still have and wear, are about 6 years old! I really like these because I wear orthotics and can take out the insole and replace it with my custom orthotics. It's hard to find a decent women's sandal that can accommodate a full orthotic! The patent leather makes them a little "kickier," which is nice.
