I really wanted to love these shoes, but they felt tight and so back they went. Love Zappos easy return policy!

No matter what I do to make these work, they rub my heels raw.

The arches are way too high on these shoes for me. They're very uncomfortable and dig into my feet in the worst possible way. It would be okay if they had a little give, but these arch supports are stiff and tough. I normally wear New Balance sneakers outdoors and go barefoot around the house, these shoes are so different from New Balance and feel (to me) the exact opposite of comfy barefootedness at home.

I have a pair of white leather Keds but for some reason the black pair are a little too wide in the heel and so the shoe rubs up and down when I wear them. I hope that I can soften up the back so that I will no longer get a blister

I used to love this shoe. I work in a business casual environment, but because I have funny sized feet (9.5W, really hard to find) and some foot problems, I need something that's flat, comfortable, and yet looks relatively sharp. These used to look just like black oxfords, and I could (barely) get away with wearing them to work. Sadly, while they're as comfortable as ever, they've changed the font on the logo and made it way more prominent (and ugly) on the shoe. First, there didn't used to be a huge label on the tongue, and now there is, and you can't hide it just by lacing the shoe up. I thought I'd be able to cut it off where it's stitched, but it turns out it's both stitched and glued. Second, there used to be a blue rubber rectangle on the heel, and the logo was blue-on-blue. Now, the logo is in bright white on blue, which makes it visible from across the room, in its super ugly font. So, if you're looking for an unattractive but reasonably comfortable flat shoe with minimal arch support, it's fine. If you want something that looks even minimally professional, this is no longer that shoe. After having bought these regularly (and often three pairs at a time just so I'd have backups as they wore out) for years, I'm about to return the pair I just bought.

I never write reviews but thought it worthwhile on these. I love how Keds look and I bought leather in the hopes they would look white longer. They did but these are not at all well put together. the strip around the sole began to detach almost as soon as I started wearing them. I would be willing to spend this or even a little more for quality, but sadly I don't think thats what Keds can offer.

Keds has updated this shoe from what I remember in the past. Not good. The pair I just received are very narrow and there is about an inch of useless room at the end of the toe. If I had sized down, they would have been too small. I feel like my foot should be shaped like a wedge of cheesecake to have these shoes fit properly. Perhaps I could use the odd space at the end of my toes to keep spare change? The toes look pointy and capable of inflicting pain on someone. Also, they don't lace up as far on the top of the foot as they used to, they would be better fitting if there were one more eyelet to lace up. As they are, the short top makes the heels slip up and down, the way some skimmer type shoes do. All in all, the classic Keds look isn't quite there anymore, this style now looks sort of odd, narrow and longgggg and pointy, and more of an off-white color that is noticeable because the laces are a true white and the shoes are not. If not the for giant KEDS logo screaming from the back and sides (yes, part of the new look), I would think that these were just a generic pair of white sneakers.

I have worn Keds in size 8 1/2 Medium (B) for many years. I was so surprised when this pair was too tight and narrow. I cannot believe it. What has happened to my comfortable Keds brand?

The shoes are comfortable, but make sure you wear dark socks with them, because they bleed all over lighter ones.

I usually have better experiences with a pair of Keds than this time. The weld around the edges gave way almost immediately but I don't wear them with socks so I am stuck with them!

Mary Litton - I wear this shoe almost 100% of the time I am not working. They look well with my slacks, easy to keep clean and they keep looking new for a long time as they do not lose their shape.

Needs cushioning - I liked the fit and look of this sneaker, but it really has next to no cushioning in the sole. I also purchased a pair of Keds Andie-Microstretch, and was quite please with the comfort and fit of those. I will be returning the Ked's Leather Champion.

OK keds - The black keds are not as comfortable as the white stretch keds. It would be better if they made the stretch keds in black too. The white ones are great. The black ones do not have the cushion in the bottom or the look. The black is too dull. But they are goos for shoes in the rain.

So disappointing! I have bought Keds black leathers for years and I love them. My current pair was getting older, so I ordered these new ones for a back-up. They were three times more expensive than in the past and the quality was totally different and horrible: their leather feels like cheap nylon; the soles are flat, not grooved like before; they look so cheaply glued together; they are narrower around the toes. I would return them if it wasn't so much trouble. I will try to wear them, but I am very unhappy with the quality.

This review is for the Champion Leather Lace Up as well as the Champion Canvas Lace Up, as they both suffer from the same problem. The fit is ok in the back half of the foot, even perhaps a little wider than necessary, but the area forward of the arch is narrow, and it's also too long - a very strange fit. The toe area is noticeably narrower and longer than Keds' Kickstart Lace Up, for example, which I've bought and worn for years without discomfort. I'm going to return the Champion model and order a new pair of Kickstart Ups instead.

I bought these shoes because I have a pair of black Keds that have been wonderful, but they are getting old, so I thought I would get another similar pair. These new ones cost over double what the first pair cost some years ago, and the workmanship is horribly shoddy. The leather is so thin that it feels more like nylon. They are cheaply glued together, and the sole is cheap, not like the grooved sole on my previous pair. The inside padding is way thinner than my previous pair. I am deeply disappointed with this purchase and the shoddy quality of what used to be a shoe that I loved. I have been getting these Keds for years, and have always loved them - until this latest, very expensive, very badly made shoe.

I checked my 7-8 year old keds and found out the problem with new version. Old version had 5 eyelets and longer laces-so wrapped around outer ankle for tight fit. New only 4 eyelets & Gapped at ankle and ankle slides out of heel. Bad design. Please show info to designer. Thank you. Same thing the other color/ style I returned.

I used to only wear Keds Champion Leather shoes years ago but these are not the same quality keds. They run larger and also run more narrow, even the extra wide was not wide enough. Miss the old shoes the way they were manufactured years ago, they look like the same style but not the same great fit.

The fit was not the usual fit I am used to.; I have been wearing Keds for years, but this pair squeaks when I walk, and it feels as though my foot is slipping.

The sneakers squeaked or creaked when I walked in them. I am not sure if it is the fit or the sneaker material, but it squeaks when I walk.

I expected more from $50 shoes. The material seems really cheap. I feel like if Payless shoes store was still in business I could find these exact shoes for $15

I've worn Keds for years and always size 10. Love this model. These are too big--wide, long. Maybe the style has been remodeled since my last pair. Worry that size 9 would not fit so I'm not reordering in size 9.
