I really was looking forward to these. I was thinking they would be a more sophisticated Birk. But they are not what I expected. The "black patent" birkflo looks like really cheap plastic. Not cute, not chic. These are going back.

This is my second pair of Gizehs -- I wanted another color because I loved the first pair! I'm a professor, so I work on my feet, and these shoes are comfortable and attractive.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. The fit is good and I love them. I can't walk in them all day but they offer more support than flip flops.

I'm grateful for these sandals, which actually offer my feet support and don't look near as orthopedic as other foot-friendly models.

I got my Gizeh sandals two weeks ago. I love the way they look, can wear them with anything...however, they are taking a while to break in...almost there! The plastic thong between toes is still irritating on my right foot...left toes are fine. Go figure. I am a size 8 but the 39 sandals were much too long. I returned them and got the 38 (the very next day - thanks Zappos!), fit perfectly.

I really wanted to love these - I ordered them for a trip to Europe this week but had to return them because they were too large and I found the toe piece very hard. I am usually a size 8 and ordered the size 39 as suggested but they were too large. I have a narrow foot but ordered the regular and think that was fine for me, but I would need the 38. But I will not reorder because I found the toe piece too uncomfortable and the shoes were rather stiff and inflexible for me. I am somebody who really only wears thong type sandals and so these are not a new style for me and I usually find them very comfortable so I was surprised to find these uncomfortable especially as everyone rates them so highly. Perhaps if I reordered a size smaller and gave them a chance they would eventually "break" in and I would find them more comfortable but I think I will try to find a lighter, more flexible sandal of this this style instead.

These run huge. I bought my size (7) and had to return for the 6 and even the 6 is too big. Size waaay down.

These are absolutely the cutest of all the Birks, and I have tried many. My husband and I agreed on that. However, they are also absolutely the most painful. That plastic thong is excruciating. I cannot imagine that many people would find it comfortable. I was so sad, because I really wanted to love these, they are so lovely. But the reason I wanted Birks was for the absolute comfort they provide, and style is secondary. If I want cute without a lot of comfort, I can go for a more delicate shoe. For Birks, comfort comes first, and the Gizeh does not provide any comfort.

These are by far the best shoe purchase I have made in a couple of years. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for over a year and after a week of wearing this shoes exclusively, my feet no longer hurt. As much as I hate the thought of socks and sandals, I may be a convert come the winter months. I will likely be making another Birkenstock purchase within the year.

These are my favorite sandals! I have purchased a pair every year for the past few years. The color is great - bronze goes with everything! I found that that they run a little large, so I always buy a size smaller. Since Zappos has such a great return policy, it's easy to exchange if the size doesn't feel right.

I have always loved Birkenstock shoes they give a lot of support. These white ones are perfect for summer they go with every outfit I have. Comfort and style you can't go wrong!

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I now understand why everyone loves them. As reported, the do need to be "broken in" but for me they were still pretty comfortable out of the box. The upper is nice and soft and they look great! I was surprised by how stylish they appear. I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered a 38, the size guide was accurate.

The portion between my toes is hard and inflexible which hurts. Not sure I would spend the money on another pair of this type of Birks.

Cute shoes, uncomfortable at first but beginning to feel better. Be sure to have time to break shoes in. I have a three in comfort because I prefer a comfortable shoe when I first buy them. I don't like to break in shoes.

Still breaking in. It I can see how people are stating that they are really comfortable. I've been wearing hem about an hour a day for a couple of weeks. I love the silver - Gizeh is definitely stylish without looking too hippie.

Very cute and comfortable! Love the silver color. Takes about a week to break them in (in between my big and second toe was slightly sore), but ridiculously comfortable after that!

Great shoes, very comfortable as all Birkenstocks I have worn are. I had to order a size down from my usual 7-7.5 (38).

Order one size down from your regular size as these run large. I don't recommend if you pronate. I found them to be very hard on the arch and the foot bed is also very hard. No cush in this shoe! Nicely made shoe though.

I love these Birkenstock sandals. They are so comfortable and stylish. I received compliments on them every time I wear them.

Unique color. Kinda blue-gray. Super supportive in the arch. Best shoes for my knees. It's all I wear. I even have a pair that I wear only in the house, just for good arch support.

Comfortable and chic - that's what these sandals are. These are my first Birkies and I love them. I was worried that the patent leather would be uncomfortable or hard to break in, but they've been great from day 1. I also love that all it takes is a microfiber cloth to clean them and keep them shiny. I got the narrow and they fit really well.
