I bought these in the onyx color. Like most Birkenstock, it will take some breaking in before they get comfortable. I do wish that the toe separator was a little thinner. For those not used to wearing shoes with a toe separator, this will be a major adjustment for them. I wear an 8.5 shoe regularly. Zappos puts that in a size 39 (really a size 9 according to Birkenstock) whereas Birkenstock puts it at a 38. I think Zappos hit it right on the head with the size for me. If I was a size 8, I don't think it would have worked as well though, so keep that in mind when picking your size.

Love these Birks. This is my second pair, and I'm sure there will be more.

Great style and footbed. The plastic thong between the toes is brutal. I almost sent them back after wearing them.

I ordered these sandals to replace the same style/ different color sandals that are about 10 years old. I can't part with my old ones even thought they look . . . worn. I wear them as soon as it's warm enough, and I hate to put them away in the winter. Comfortable, and cute enough to get compliments. I can walk in them all day, and I'd wear them for work if the dress code allowed. To be honest, I was reluctant to buy Birkentstocks because they can be a little clunky looking. I don't think this style is clunky at all. I tried to branch out and order a different style, but I ended up sending them back due to the clunky factor. I bought the "medium" width even though my feet are a little wider than some shoes marked medium. Great fit, great look, and so comfortable.

These are great shoes. They look very stylish and are comfortable right off the bat. The adjustable buckle strap helps with a great fit. The "toe-ridges" in the footbed take a little getting used to, and the footbed may be a tad stiff, but no issues so far walking long distances and standing for a long time. Would definitely recommend.

These are awesome shoes. You won't regret this purchase. Quality is great with fast shipping from zappos, they will on your feet in days.

These are mine and my daughters go to favorite summer sandal. She is gotten older and now she is wearing adults and could not wait to get her new pair! We absolutely love Birkenstock

I purchased two & received it yesterday. Love the style and size, but the width is too narrow. Need wider width. will be returning both today.

I have had a pair like these since I was in high school and I love them. They are adorable on but they also have the support you need in a shoe. They may be a pretty penny but worth it. They hold up to anything and last forever while still looking good. One of my best consistant purchases! Runs maybe a little bigger than true to size and there is no breaking them in.

These are very comfortable after wearing for just one day. They are starting to break in nicely. I didn't have a problem with the toe piece as others have referenced. I'm looking forward to purchasing another pair of Birkenstocks in the near future.

I call this shoe my "holy grail of shoe shopping." It is the one shoe that actually makes my feet happy, with a good grip, no slip, and a cradled, perfect footbed. I wear these all winter as slippers when I get home from work, and beginning with the first warm weather, they are on my feet til October, in several different colors of course. My favorites are the black patent leather...if I only could have one pair it would be these. I have been buying one new pair for several years now, and they all have held up well. This shoe is a bit expensive, but is worth its weight in gold for me.

This is my second pair, I had to get a different color, since I loved my first pair so much. Easy to slip on all summer and forms to your foot as you wear them. Comfortable fit and no blisters, even from day #1.

The shoes are a great combination of comfort and style. Last but not least, Zappos is the best place to order, and their service is fantastic!

I love the look of these sandals and get many compliments every time I wear them. I am hoping they will get more comfortable the more I wear them, at least everyone tells me they will. I have worn them for one summer season so far. They are slowly breaking in, but are still quite tough. I'm hoping they become softer and conform to my food more the longer I wear them. They are also fairly heavy. Despite all that, they are still a comfortable shoe and I do a fair amount of walking in them.

Ummm..... not sure what more I can say.... this is at least my 10th pair of Birkenstocks. Best shoes ever.

I LOVE these! This is my fourth pair! I have problems with my feet and if I wear Birkenstock I am pain free! I teach second grade and am on my feet most of the day! I would highly recommend these!!

Good old Birks at their best. If they're uncomfortable at first, wear an hour a day or so for a week and you will be good to go!

It had been a few years since I had tried the Gizeh on - have been wearing the Silver Mayari for 4 summers and love them. Tried the 39 and 40 in the Gizeh - realized right away that the 40 is really perfect. The Narrow if great on my foot - the adjustable strap gives a very secure feeling. I love the Silver color - it is just so versatile and still feels dressy enough that I can wear to church and feel great! I remembered the toe piece giving me trouble when I tried them 4 years ago - but this time - I slipped them on and have been smiling ever since!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock. I purchased the silver Gizeh. I wanted one great pair of go to sandals and these are it. I love them and they are more comfortable over time. The toe post did rub a little for the first 2 weeks, but fine now. Have had for about 3 months and they are all I wear for daytime. I am a 7 or 7 1/2. The 37 was perfect

Terrible, do not buy! I've had numerous pairs of Birkenstocks over the years, the clogs and sandals. Loved all of them, until this pair. They hurt the bottom of my feet so badly. Worst shoes ever.

I really wanted to love these shoes. They are so fun and pretty and versatile. Unfortunately, the toe part irritated my left foot. I tried adjusting the straps and a few things that I read online but nothing could make it comfortable. My right foot was really comfortable. So I think it was just something with my foot. :)
