Just as many reviews said it took about a week of wear for these to finally feel comfortable. They ached in a few spots and I could only wear them for short amounts of time the first week. After that they have literally been heavenly. I traveled to Barcelona with these (and three other pairs of shoes) and these were the ones I wore the most. Excellent for walking around a city all day. I'm usually a size 8 but the 38 worked best. According to their charts I'd be a 37 but 37s just aren't comfortable for my foot. I have a wide foot and these were pretty good as far as width. I'd highly recommend them.

Love these! Put them on and it felt like they were made for my feet. Sizing was true and I got the regular width and it was perfect. The toe post is very comfortable and I'm really pleased with how comfortable the shoe is overall.

These shoes are super comfortable! As a teacher, I can wear these all day long without tired feet. I am on my 3rd pair of this sandal in silver.

I need more support in sandals these days, but I wanted something that looked more stylish than your run of of the mill Birks. These fit the bill!

So happy with these! I have one pair in another style and these are just as comfy and cute. I wear a 7.5 shoe and ordered a 37 in these just like my other pair since they run a lil big. They are perfect!

I normally wear a size 9 and ordered accordingly. These were huge! I ended up returning them and purchasing a 38 in a local store. Takes a little while to break them in and wouldn't recommend wearing them for hours right after buying.

I love these birkenstocks..... i thought they would be uncomfortable but they are great cant wait to but another pair.... thanks zappos

Best shoes ever. I have fallen arches and every shoe I own does not work with my feet, even the expensive ortho shoes recommended by my chiropractor. As a teacher I need a shoe that works well in a professional setting and is comfortable enough to stand all day. I love these shoes so much that I even brought them to school and wore them all winter after switching from boots. Highly recommend for any teacher with feet issues.

I liked the look and fit, but the hard plastic thong was uncomfortable between my toes.

Best shoes ever!! Comfortable straight out of the box and really cute. They go with everything. I've had foot pain and was told to try Birkenstocks. They feel great!!

runs slightly big. also there is a lot of room in the shoe, so if you have slim feet, it might be way too big and feel loose.

Super cute shoes, but sole was not flexible and the thong was painful between my toes. I can't wear them.

I love the look of the shoe. Even being an avid flip-flop girl, the toe piece felt very weird. I felt like my toes were popping over the flap. Being a teacher, I love the support that they offer while also being stylish and comfortable!

I have 2 Birkenstock gizeh sandals and love them! I bought the black oiled leather 2 years ago and wore down the sole quite a bit so I needed a replacement but was scared off by the cost of the oiled leather. So I bought the binko flor black. Both are so similar! So if you are concerned about the look of the binko flor, don't be. It looks very good and I'm happy I bought my 3rd!

I love these Birks. Last summer I had pain (plantar fasciitis) and ended up throwing out all the flimsy flip flops and wore these instead. Pain is gone. Thanks Birkenstock! I usually wear 6.5 in shoes and 7 in sneakers, but had to get 36 in these as the 37 was big.

Needed a comfortable sandal that was still cute and stylish. These do the job perfectly. The style is cute and goes with just about everything. The silver color is a true silver and the leather is great quality. These are true to size. I wear an 8.5 and the 39 regular fits perfect. Ordered the narrow first by mistake and it is very narrow!!...returned for the regular width and they are perfect. Note that it does take roughly 3 days of wearing to mold to your foot. I didn't have any discomfort during this time but now they feel like butter :)

I just got these in antique lace and I love them! Haven't had a new pair of Birkenstocks for over ten years, and have forgotten how nice they feel when they are new. This is my second pair of gizehs, hopefully they will get the black biro-flor back in my size soon:)

The sandals were too big.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them! I was hesitant to try them because some of the reviews made them seem difficult to break in, but I haven't had any problems at all. I feel like I'm getting a foot massage when I wear them. I wear flip flops regularly so the thong does not bother me at all. I purchased a size 39 regular, I wear an 8 1/2 and these are a perfect fit.

I have been very pleased with my first ever pair of Birkenstocks-Gizeh Birko-Flor golden brown color. I've been wearing them for a year after gathering with college girlfriends for a reunion and noticing the majority of them were wearing the same sandal just varying colors! They all laughed and shared how they live in them all summer. I'm a high school teacher and wear them occasionally for work and need to buy a new pair because I've worn them down a bit! I would say that it takes several times of wearing them regularly before you have them "broken in" for your own feet AND if you do have to develop a callous between your big and 2nd toe for these to feel fully comfortable. What I like is that I can wear them with shorts or with a skirt or casual dress especially because these are slightly more fancy with the golden brown color. Best pair of sandals for the summer. Highly recommend, cute and so comfy

These are my favorite summer shoes. I've been wearing the Gizeh style for probably 10 years now. They are so comfortable! I buy a new pair every few years bc they're basically all I wear in the summer. I commute in to NYC, which includes at least 30 minutes of intense walking/day. These shoes put up with a lot! I love the pearl color, it is so versatile.

I have been wearing birks on and off for 20 years now. I don't find them especially attractive shoes but their comfort can't be beat! I have falling arches and a problem with a ligament on the side of my foot which makes wearing regular flip flops very painful. I have orthotics for my arches but with birks I don't need them. I love how these sandals form to your foot to make the perfect fit. I don't understand why people are complaining about the piece between your toes. I don't even feel that piece. My guess is that people didn't buy the correct size or tighten the sandal properly. I am typically a size 10 but in birks I wear a 40 which they say is a size 9 - 9.5.
