Love my Birks! I have been wearing Birkenstocks for over 20 years. I bought this pair to have more of a "flip flop" type. They are super comfy (wore them all over Disneyland) and go with everything.

These were my favorite shoes last summer - I wore them nearly every day! One of the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned, plus I think they look cuter than traditional Birkenstocks because of the color. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks, and now I know what I’ve been missing. Love them! If I could give them more stars, I would.

Love these sandals! I own several pairs in various colors. These are all I wear in the summer. So comfortable, cute, and stylish. You can’t go wrong with these.

They're stylish. I have the blue. I never got them to break in properly, though! I ended up with blisters between my toes from the throng. I just wear them for shorter periods. They're versatile, and look cute for summer parties, beach etc. They also get that dark toe print look that makes the soles look older than they are and makes them look a bit grubby, in my opinion. Overall, they're nice, though.

Comfortable, flattering, works with narrow feet. Only problem is that I? never wear anything else! Have in 3 colors...

All the best of Birkenstock functionality, but compared to regular shoes run a full size big. Bought these for my mom who normally wears an adult 5.5 or 6. Had to get her the size 4-4.5 in these. The Licorice color looked clunky but the Silver is sleek and stylish. She’s in her 60s (but is in excellent shape and dresses young!), and she finds these versatile and comfortable for walking all around town, including on uneven or hilly terrain.

My favorite summer sandals! Great support, fairly quick break-in period, and great for travelling. You have to not mind having something between your toes tho, otherwise try the Arizonas.

Typical Birkenstock sandal I have 2 other pairs of. These fit a little differently - I think it's the 'thong' between the toes; seems to be a bit less comfortable than other pairs I have. Also seems to correlate with the matte, oiled leather. I compared it to my other, size 39 Gizehs and the footbed is slightly wider in these so my foot moves around a bit more. With greater foot movement, there is more discomfort in the case of Birkenstock sandals. Still, the matte black look is worth it and I wore them OFTEN trapsing about Europe this summer without regret.

Nice sandal but it was to big.

At first I was skeptical that these could be fashionable yet comfortable. I had grown up with the classic brown nubuck Birkenstock favored by the hippies in Berkeley. But then I saw this style in silver and thought to myself, maybe, just maybe these could be the happy compromise. Zappos sent it to my house right away and they are amazing. Took a little bit to adjust to my natural foot bed and now I'm a believer. Its great if you have to be on your feet all day or will be logging a ton of miles. I wear them to switch out between supporters summer sandals and ballet flats. Don't gawk at the price because they are worth and will last. Just have a shoe repair shop replace the sole when it's worn down and you will have these for life.

These are so worth the money. A great sandal that looks cool, but is way more supportive than a flip flop. Birkenstock is the ultimate in comfort. I have them in Black and Onyx. The Onyx is an interesting blue-ish charcoal-ish gunmetal. Love them. I've had my black pair for many years and they are holding up great.

I ordered the Gizeh Soft Footbed for $135 directly from Birkenstock online after trying them on in The Walking Company (which didn’t have my color/size). This was my first pair of Birkenstock’s, and I understand that Birkenstock’s need to be worn a certain minimum amount of time to be broken in. I wore mine around the house in small doses, to walk the dog short distances up the street and to get from car to store on a handful of occasions. My feet ached. Not the foot bed, but the top of my foot. It felt like I was straining the muscles in my foot, and after very little wear, my feet started to hurt even when I wasn’t wearing the shoes. I have friends that have serious and long term foot problems and I was petrified to ruin my feet permanently. So I called customer service and told them that the shoes were not working for me, and in fact were doing real damage to my feet, and I would like to return. They refused to take them back!! I spoke to a customer service agent and a supervisor, and they rudely and regularly recited their policy that once worn the shoes cannot be returned. How can I break them in if I don’t wear them? From prior experience, I know that if I bought them at Nordstrom or Zappos or another retail store, I would have been able to return them. Their customer service was rude, unsympathetic and unbending. I can’t believe that Birkenstock will not stand behind their product, especially after I told them that I feared that they were causing permanent damage to my feet. I will never buy another pair of their shoes for myself or any member of my family. Buyer Beware – if you are devoted to this brand, I suggest you buy them retail and not directly. Zappos customer service is amazing of course! Sadly Birkenstock shoes are not.

Deliberated a long time before buying these and wish I had taken the plunge sooner. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The arch support, toe grip, and footbed are supportive and super comfortable. I got the metallic silver and it goes with everything, and can be dressed up a bit or worn casually. Love these so much I don’t want to stop wearing them for winter and am getting a pair of Boston’s!

Best sandal I own. Comfortable for any terrain.

These are great shoes. They do require a break in period. I read many reviews that said that these shoes hurt the space between their toes so much that they had to return them. Initially, I felt the same way. My suggestion is to wear them for a couple of hours each day, and then they feel lovely. I owned a pair of Arizonas in the early 90's and eventually had to donate them because the arches were too high and rubbed my arches raw. These Gizehs have moderate arch support and don't rub at all. Now for the sizing, these most difficult prospect on these shoes. I wear a size 9 1/2 -10 in all shoes. That would suggest that I would need a size 40 in Birkenstock. I own a pair of Dansko Clogs that are 40 and a pair of Dansko Sams that are a 41. I'm glad that I went to try a pair of Gizehs on in a store. A 40 was too big but they didn't have a 39 in stock because of an end of summer sale. I took a chance on a 39 from Zappos, knowing that I could return them. My foot definitely fills the entire foot bed and my heel and ball of my foot fall into the proper footwells. The width is still a little narrow. I have extremely wide feet and bought the regular Birkentstock width. The widest part of my foot hangs slightly over the side, but not enough for me to notice or care. Simple suggestions for longevity. Give these shoes time to break in. Take care of the cork with cork sealer once a year. Don't wear them as water shoes. These are great shoes and provide comfort and support. Please forgive my unpedicured toes, I wanted to show width and sizing.

Stylish and comfortable... great for casual or dressier occasions

These are very attractive shoes, but the tow piece really hurts. For the price, it should be leather and it might be better. Although there is the same complaint with Mephisto and it is leather.
