Love everything about these!

I forgot how comfy Birks are! The toffee color is a pretty dark bronze. As always, Birks take a bit of breaking in to mold to your foot, but it's worth the effort.

I ordered one size up (37 instead of 36 for a size 6) after reading other reviews. This was solid advice. There seems to be just enough extra room to cradle your foot. I just checked my steps and I have walked 3 miles in them on the first day without any discomfort. I love the blue. It has a slight "mermaidy" shine to it. Many compliments on day one.

Ive been wanting to but these sandals for a long time. My fellow momma friend wears them all the time and she said they were very supportive and comfortable, and she was right. It does take about a week to form around your feet for a comfy fit. LOVE them.

My mom bought me a pair of these several months ago and I still absolutely love them. They have held up so well, very sturdy, comfortable and stylish. When I know I will be out for hours running errands, these are my go-tos! They offer excellent arch support and overall comfort, so by the end of the day, my feet do not ache. I purchased the white with the black accents and have received many compliments! They literally go with anything casual. You will not regret investing in Birkenstock, I promise you will love these!

I can't imagine why one fellow got on here and said, "The plastic toe post gave me blisters," or, "I kept tripping in these." I have worn Birkenstock thong styles--Gizeh, Ramses, and Medina--for, like, 20+ years. If I trip, it's only because I didn't see the, like, elephant that was blocking my path. Moreover, the toe post is so thin--MILLIMETERS--that it can't POSSIBLY cause irritation. It doesn't rub: it doesn't even SUPPORT! It only keeps the upper united to the sole: it is the gentle downward pressure that the spear-shaped upper exerts on the metatarsus that keeps the sandal on your foot.

I have two other kinds of Birkenstocks and I was leery of buying a pair with the piece between the toes. It usually takes a couple of weeks when the weather turns nice to acclimate to sandals. These were comfortable right out of the box. There wasn't any discomfort from the piece between the toes. I am the proud owner of 3 pairs of Birks.

The fit on these is classic to Birkenstock- a little rough on the feet at first because they are so structured, but in time they mold to your footbed and are amazing- all day sandals. I suggest wearing them at every chance you get when they first arrive, to break them in. These are surprisingly stylish for Birks as well.

I wanted to like these sandals, but I just didn't. It's possible that sizing down a size may have helped, since the strap looked funny on my toe. They also did not feel as comfortable to walk in as my old Birks were.

This shoe fit perfectly, and was wear-ready for me. I have a co-worker that just gave rave-reviews. I honestly didn't like the look on my foot- I have a long, slender foot and this made it look even longer! If this style suits you, it's a great shoe!

I’m a huge fan of birkenstocks. This will take a bit to break in because my winter feet are not used to the thing strap. Otherwise this shoe felt like I had worn it for years.

My fourth pair! I’m obsessed with these shoes. I have a lot of foot pain and when I wear these I have none. The onyx is a beautiful, steely grey that will go with tons of outfits.

I wear a 7 and the 7-71/2 fit perfectly. Very comfortable and stylish!

So happy this comes in a narrow size--really hugs my foot.

Actually, I chose "felt full size larger" because that is the limit. I dont know what the issue is, but what I got is DEFINITELY NOT US Women's 5.5. It seemed more like 7.5 which is my daughter's size!!!

I think I want to like these more than I actually do. They often hurt between my toes and the tops of my feet but they’re fine for walking short distances.

I always wear a size 5 but these sandals swallowed my feet. Just returned them for a refund and will get a smaller size. Cute shoes though!

After having stress fractures in both feet, I am looking for sandals with great arch support. I bought 2 Birkenstock and a pair of Chaca all have great insoles, length and width in a 7 was good, but all also have very loose straps on my foot. On this particular sandal, the toe post is too far back (toward the heel) so when you buckle it is it painful, and the leather was too stiff. After this experience I don’t think Birkenstocks are for me. I’ll be sending this back. Love, love. Love Zappos - shopping experience and returns are the best.

Zappos' sizing recommendations AND Birkenstock's both recommend that a size 8 should buy a 39(size 8-9). But the 39 was just way TOO big for me. My perfect street shoe size is 8N, and I found the 38 to be a better fit. So if you usually wear a size at the low end of their range, you might like the smaller size better like I did. Either try them on in a store or order both sizes if you are concerned. Previous reviewers mention the plastic thong...it just takes a while to get used to. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks...I've resisted them for years because they were just too darn ugly. But the Gizeh Birko-Flor in Black Patent are adorable. The sole is hard to begin with, but after several wears your feet and the shoe sole fall in love with one another! It's a really supportive shoe that can be casual OR beyond! TWO THUMBS UP!

Love these sandals. They are stylish and have great arch support. I like they come in narrow width and they fit perfectly!

I been wearing these for a week and they live up to the hype. So comfy and they are cute too. The first few days they were a little uncomfortable between my toes but I kept wearing them and now they feel great. I wear a 7.5 and ordered a 38.

I was so disappointed based on the glowing reviews! I have long toes and mine hit the edge at the front of the sandal, and it was very uncomfortable. I normally wear a 7.5, and I’m sure a bigger size wouldn’t help me. They seem well made, but the weird shape of the sole, like your foot is sitting in a shallow bowl, doesn’t work for me. I went back to my standard SAS sandal. Too bad, I was hoping to save myself over $50 compared to the other sandals.

I was worried that I would need a narrow width since that's what I wear in Arizona's but the regular width works fine in the Gizeh. Like all Birkenstocks, they are really comfortable but they might take some getting used to if you're not familiar with Birkenstocks. They provide great foot support which might feel a bit uncomfortable if you're not used to it. So my advice is don't walk for miles in your new Birks until you've adequately broken them in and you'll be fine.

I love the Birkenstock Gizeh sandals. It is important that you also buy the cork sealer to ensure long life.
