I had to go a size down. At first they are very hard, but are starting to get more comfortable.

Really enjoy the comfort and style of this product

Key point: If you don't have the foot strap snug enough, there's too much tension on your toes and the thong part of the sandal really feels uncomfortable. Once you tighten the foot strap, so that the tension is managed by the foot strap and not your toes, then you're good to go. Very comfortable, like all Birkenstocks. And Zappos gets 'em too you lickety-split. Always happy to order from Zappos.

Perfect all around......but, they're Berkinstocks!

Could not be happier with these sandals and the Birkentstock brand. These are very comfortable and worth the price. I've worn Birkentstock sandals for years and they hold up so well, with nearly everyday wear throughout the summer months.

I could wear these all day!

The style, comfort and available colors to choose from were great. However, there seemed to be something off (for me anyway) when I buckled the strap and began to walk. The bend in the faux-leather looked odd. I ordered another pair in the oiled leather (way less color choices) to compare. The leather version was more comfortable and looked better, hands down. I returned the Birko-Flor for this reason and kept the leather version.

The plastic "THONG" is very-very uncomfortable ; I am a regular flip-flop wearer and these created a callous on my feet between toes. I had to return them.. will try the similar Mephisto style.

I am normally a 7 1/2 wide to an 8. I bought these in a 38 which is the equivalent to a 7-7 1/2 and they fit perfectly!

I am so disappointed these did not work out for me. They are really great looking sandals but they run way too big, in fact, I think more than a full size larger on me.

Feet heaven

These shoes are SO CUTE on, but I was disappointed to find that the little part between the toes really is as uncomfortable as other reviewers claimed. Maybe the real leather ones aren’t as stiff? I tried to love them, but after a couple hours wearing them to try to break them in, I started to feel blisters forming. I’d been coveting these shoes for years, so I am sad that they didn’t work out.

Extremely comfortable and didn’t require any breaking in. Very supportive. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

The suggestion of 38 for size 7-7.5 is incorrect. I should have ordered the usual 37.

Very comfortable and no need for breaking them in. They molded to my foot perfectly and I can wear them all day with no issue. Would definitely buy another pair in another color!

I love this particular style of birks and the onyx color is awesome. The only somewhat negative thing I'll say, though, is that I have another pair in this style that I bought years ago in a size 39 that fit perfectly. So, I bought these in a 39 and they were way too big. So, I returned them for a 38 and even those are slightly long on me. I decided not to go for the 37.

I’ve never had Birkenstocks before. I think I would have really liked them, but just didn’t care for the silver, non-leather look. Didn’t seem like they would mold to your foot like leather might.

These sandals took a little while to get used to. I got a blister in between my toes from the hard plastic thong after a long leisurely walk. Ouch! Now that I'vd worn them for about a dozen times, they're more comfy but will not be wearing them if I plan on walking a lot.

These are my go to summer shoes. I have a variety of colors. I have plantar fasciitis and Birks are the best for support. I wear a size 8 and get a 39 in this style. Love them!

The middle part hurts like a beast! I not only had a huge blister between my toes but I felt like I had a broken second toe after just a few hours of wearing. Love Birkenstock but these ones missed the mark as far as comfort.

My first pair of Birkenstock sandals and I love them, but you do need a few days to get used to them. Comfortable and fashionable.

This is my go-to sprint/summer/fall shoe! I have 6 different colors of this style and wear these 95% of the time! You can't beat the comfort and the style is perfect. They are for sure not 'dressy' but still look great with anything casual, from sundresses to jeans to shorts. I have walked for many hours in these on very hot summer days and they held up great, I never got pain in my feet or knees which is why I just decided to stick with these as often as I do. These also run a size larger, I normally wear a 9 and I got the 39 (size 8-8.5) and they are a perfect fit, so for sure size down in these at least a half size but the width runs true to size. So comfortable and durable and so worth the money!

I am in LOVE with this style of Birks! I am a true 9-1/2 and the size 40 fits me perfectly. These do take about a week to break in but after that they are like butter on your feet!! Soooo comfy!! They look great with jeans or a cute dress. And the antique lace color has a really pretty sheen to them! Definitely my favorite pair of sandals in my closet!

I bought these to replace my well-worn Birks but had to return these and size down - they are a size 38 and feel much bigger than my other sandals of the same size. Not sure if this was a fluke or if the sizing has changed. The 37s fit much better for my size 7.5 feet!
