This is my go-to sprint/summer/fall shoe! I have 6 different colors of this style and wear these 95% of the time! You can't beat the comfort and the style is perfect. They are for sure not 'dressy' but still look great with anything casual, from sundresses to jeans to shorts. I have walked for many hours in these on very hot summer days and they held up great, I never got pain in my feet or knees which is why I just decided to stick with these as often as I do. These also run a size larger, I normally wear a 9 and I got the 39 (size 8-8.5) and they are a perfect fit, so for sure size down in these at least a half size but the width runs true to size. So comfortable and durable and so worth the money!

I am in LOVE with this style of Birks! I am a true 9-1/2 and the size 40 fits me perfectly. These do take about a week to break in but after that they are like butter on your feet!! Soooo comfy!! They look great with jeans or a cute dress. And the antique lace color has a really pretty sheen to them! Definitely my favorite pair of sandals in my closet!

I bought these to replace my well-worn Birks but had to return these and size down - they are a size 38 and feel much bigger than my other sandals of the same size. Not sure if this was a fluke or if the sizing has changed. The 37s fit much better for my size 7.5 feet!

Never had Birks before! I think this is gonna be the sandal ever!

I absolutely LOVE these & have bought the Gizeh for the last 11 years because they are so stylish and extremely comfortable too!! The break-in period is very quick and the in between toe part doesn't bother me personally. I bought the licorice color (already have the silver) & it's such a pretty shimmery black that goes with everything easily - thank goodness they still make this perfect style :-)

I haven’t worn this brand in years. Why I ever stopped I do not know. I am so grateful that I’ve started wearing them again! My feet are happy!

I am so sad because I loved these so much but I had to send them back. The plastic piece they use between the toes killed my feet. I considered sizing up but there's no way the rest of the shoe would work if I did... I'll be keeping an eye out to see if they release this style with a different thong piece material. I'll be the first to buy if they do!

This is absolutely my all-time favorite shoe! I had foot issues and was prescribed custom orthodics, which I tried but was not crazy about. Then I got these because I was going on a trip where a lot of walking was involved. I ended up wearing these sandals the ENTIRE time - walking, leisure, nighttime. After that, you could hardly get these off of my feet. No more flip flops for me! Rarely any other shoe at all! These are my go-to for everything unless it is super cold outside. I ordered the black and was VERY happy. Going on 1-1/2 years now, I've just gotten another pair, thinking I would need a break in period but they were comfortable right off the bat. I wear a size 10 and get the size 41 in this shoe and they are PERFECT. I love love love these sandals!

Absolutely love Gizeh Birkenstocks! They are the most comfortable sandals. I purchased the toffee color and they're a little bit shiny, but I'm hoping the shine will fade. Anyone with bunions that wears these will be completely relieved, nothing rubs against them. This is the first birko-flor I've worn, and I find them just as comfortable as the birkibuc--only perhaps the birkibuc is a little bit softer.

I will comment mostly on fit and finding the right size. I am a very normal width 8M. I started out with the narrow 38. Too small. Then tried reg width 39. Too big. Then tried 2 pair of the 38 reg width. One pair fit like a glove the second pair felt just a hair short and my toes would rub the ridge at the very front of the shoe. So I would recommend sizing down. HOWEVER, if you end up with a soft foot bed then go with your regular size. I ended up ordering a soft footbed gizeh from Birkenstock because they were the only ones who carried that combo. I also have soft footbed Arizona and wear normal size because of the soft bed. Will also add that these sucked for the first couple of days then after day 3 they were amazing. Stick with it a couple of days. And the toe piece never bothered me, never felt it. Hope this helps someone.

I love Birks and this is one of my favorite kinds. I got the black even though I first ordered Licorice and the black oiled leather. I didn’t feel the leather was worth the extra $25 and and Licorice color seemed brown black, and I wanted true black. I can wear these with anything.

Generally comfortable and surprisingly stylish. As many said, the toe piece was a little uncomfortable to start - but thanks to the other reviews, I wore them around the house for an hour, and they were fine after a little breaking in/getting used to. My normal size is a 9.5, but given how everyone said to order up - I ordered a 40 and 41. The 40 was fine. In my experience European sizes are a match to US 38=8, 39=9, 40=10. If you are at a half size round up, otherwise - ordering your straight size should work. Also, for those with bunions, these worked great.

I wear an women's 11 and I ordered a 42 and they fit perfect. The footbed is soft and suede like to the touch. The leather does not appear to be real leather. The color has a greenish hue which I was not particularly fond of, as I wanted a brown. If the color was right then I would have kept them.

These fit perfectly and I absolutely love them and the price! Thank you! I have a pair I wear with socks during the winter and when I saw this style that my daughter just bought from Zappos, I HAD to order a pair for myself.

I am a true believer in Birkenstocks! I have many pair, but the Gizeh patents have a special place in my heart. The last pair I got of these was 4 summers ago, in Rome... a bright red patent. I wore them for three weeks straight all over Italy, and fell in love. The great thing about the Gizeh style is your toes are able to grip the front and you never feel like your feet are slipping forward because the toe piece stops them. For long days on foot, I greatly prefer the Gizehs to the Arizona style, even though they are both super comfy and fun. The one thing with Gizehs I notice is they run big. I am often a 39, but in Gizeh Birks I am always a 38. Since these are not the soft footbed, it takes a few long walks of wear to feel like you are breaking in the cork footbed, but once you do, it's totally worth it. And this style you can wear with anything... jeans, capris, shorts, dresses, skirts, skorts, you name it. LOVE!

I forgot how comfy Birks are! The toffee color is a pretty dark bronze. As always, Birks take a bit of breaking in to mold to your foot, but it's worth the effort.

I ordered one size up (37 instead of 36 for a size 6) after reading other reviews. This was solid advice. There seems to be just enough extra room to cradle your foot. I just checked my steps and I have walked 3 miles in them on the first day without any discomfort. I love the blue. It has a slight "mermaidy" shine to it. Many compliments on day one.

Ive been wanting to but these sandals for a long time. My fellow momma friend wears them all the time and she said they were very supportive and comfortable, and she was right. It does take about a week to form around your feet for a comfy fit. LOVE them.

My mom bought me a pair of these several months ago and I still absolutely love them. They have held up so well, very sturdy, comfortable and stylish. When I know I will be out for hours running errands, these are my go-tos! They offer excellent arch support and overall comfort, so by the end of the day, my feet do not ache. I purchased the white with the black accents and have received many compliments! They literally go with anything casual. You will not regret investing in Birkenstock, I promise you will love these!

I can't imagine why one fellow got on here and said, "The plastic toe post gave me blisters," or, "I kept tripping in these." I have worn Birkenstock thong styles--Gizeh, Ramses, and Medina--for, like, 20+ years. If I trip, it's only because I didn't see the, like, elephant that was blocking my path. Moreover, the toe post is so thin--MILLIMETERS--that it can't POSSIBLY cause irritation. It doesn't rub: it doesn't even SUPPORT! It only keeps the upper united to the sole: it is the gentle downward pressure that the spear-shaped upper exerts on the metatarsus that keeps the sandal on your foot.
