I have wide feet but some regular width shoes fit fine. These do not. Do not order them if you tend towards wide. That is likely why the whole fit felt off. I'm really disappointed, I was excited about the shoe. It's not totally the manufacturer's fault, though, they're popular for a reason. Their one size fits all attack on their footbed is frustrating, though. I didn't care for how far the top of the shoes extended over my toe, also. And it's disappointing the only leather is the footbed. This is one company I'll never try again.

This is my favorite style, so comfortable and look good on your feet!

The toe split is a little funny. It’s a little long, but I got used to it!

I love the arch and overall support of Birkenstocks. I feel the sizing is off as I normally wear a 9 in US and I had to get an 8-8.5 so I would recommend sizing down. I would have kept but I felt like the piece in between my toes was bulky and would not wear well so I ended up returning to try a different style.

Love this shoe. I do however have some issues with my right foot, mid toe region. I have mobility issues and major back, knee and hip issues from a MVA a couple of years ago. These toes are not working correctly and I’m not sure if it’s from the shoes or if I have new nerve issues. In the end. I like these shoes and will feel better when they’re broken in.

Love Birkenstock sandals. Fit true to size, very comfortable and wear well. Worth the money. However I’m sending these back. I’m very disappointed in Zappos. I received the shoes, not even in a shoe box and they look previously worn. A $100.00 pair of Birkenstocks sent in a plastic sack. I have two other pairs and they do come in a box wrapped in tissue paper.

I really wanted to keep these sandals but the piece between the toes was bulky and uncomfortable. It's never a good sign when you're in pain as soon as you put the shoe on. I was disappointed because I really liked the style and just couldn't make it work.

This is my second paid of the Gizeh shoes. I absolutely love them! Have them in Mocha and now in black. So comfortable and I get so many compliments wearing them!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock's....that being said I read a lot of blogs/reviews before deciding to purchase them. I LOVE Dansko's so I was hoping this shoe would be just as supportive and well made. I have worn them quite often for the last year and they are so cute! However, I broke them in for a while before I took them to Vegas with me (we went in November so it wasn't very hot), and they did not work out as well as I hoped. I got really irritated spots on two places on the bottom of each foot, also they make my feet sweat (might just be me). Overall they are great for everyday wear, are definitely made to last and work good for normal walking as well as supportive enough to be on your feet for about 4 hours but I can't do a full day of standing/walking in them.

I live in these sandals! They are hands down the most comfortable and supportive summer shoe I've owned. I've suffered from plantar facitis from flip flops in summers past but I can run around the city all day in these and my feet feel great. There is a little bit of a break in window as the cork molds to your feet and the leather softens. Also I followed the sizing guide but they felt too large so I ended up sending them back for a smaller size and the fit is much better. If you're on the fence- buy them!

I love these! I love them so much I'm seriously contemplating whether I could get away with wearing them to a wedding. Seriously. They're super comfortable for my wide, flat feet and so much better for you than flip flops. I have a collection of them that I keep by the door so I can throw them on to walk the dog, take out the trash, walk down to the store, etc. Love, love, love Birkenstock!

I absolute love this shoe, however, it is very uncomfortable where the toe thong connects to the insole. I kept thinking it would break in but it hasn’t. The other day, I discovered why. It is because the thong is made of hard plastic! I am SO shocked to learn that a company that makes such nice shoes as does Birkenstock is now using plastic in place of leather! Up until I purchased this shoe, I have always been delighted with my Birkenstock shoes and thrilled that many of them are available in narrow widths. I would urge Birkenstock to please not cheapen your shoes (and your company name) by cutting the costs of materials. I know of many companies that have maintained their margins by compromising the quality of their products. I would much rather you raise your prices to increase your margin. Thank you.

Was really disappointed here but this may just be a me-issue. The shoes are super cute and came in great condition in the size I wear (38). But, I have med-high arches and I couldn't fasten them... the holes in the fastener strap didn't even come close to the part that goes in the holes... So, have to return them. So sad.

I'm on my sixth year with my Gizehs, and they are my favorite everyday summer sandal. I get so many compliments on them, they hold up nicely, and the Birko-flor upper shows practically no signs of wear at all. With any Birkenstocks, they take some decent breaking in for your feet to get used to them, and for them to mold slightly to your feet. They'll likely hurt at first, so just wearing them for a few hours at a time will help. Beyond that, and maybe this is just me, but I can't walk in them long distances. I wore them to walk around DC one day, and that was a big mistake - huge blisters on the bottoms of both of my feet, on the pad just below my toes. I just know about myself that I can't walk all day in sandals of any kind, because of the movement of the shoe. The only other caveat is to not get them soaking wet - the footbed doesn't like to be wet, and will dry kind of funky if they get soaked (I've learned this from previous pairs of Birks). I typically have to size down from the standard Euro-US conversion with Birkenstocks. I'm a 7 or 7.5 in most other shoes, but I get a 37 in Birks. That sounds like a lot of downsides, but honestly, these are the best sandals. They last forever if you take care of them, and once they're broken in, they're insanely comfortable.

The support of the footbed feels amazing! This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I had to get a full 2 sizes smaller than my normal shoe size, which surprised me. It will take a bit to get used to the toe thong, which is still painful after maybe 4-5 wearings, so I am still only wearing these on short outings.

I have been wearing these exclusively since they arrived two days ago. I expected a break-in period with discomfort and possibly blisters and figured I could return to Zappos if needed, but neither applied! Right out of the box they were an excellent fit with no rubbing or pain, and the more I wear them the comfier they get. I’m 31 weeks pregnant. I needed supportive shoes I could slip on that would accommodate my feet swelling. These have fit the bill! Excellent arch support and I feel sturdy on my feet, even when waddling. :). I’m normally a 7.5 or 8, and ordered the euro 38 (7-7.5 US), so they run a half or possibly full size large.

I wanted a summer slide on sandal that looked nice and I could casually wear with almost anything and these are perfect! My feet are slightly wider than the regular shoes sizes and these work for me. They feel great in my feet.

I love these Birkenstocks! This is my 3rd pair and I will continue to buy these as long as they make them! Great arch support and they go with so many outfits!

I was very disappointed that the straps looked cheap like fake leather, which is unacceptable for a $99 pair of sandals. Even worse, the thong is made of a solid piece of plastic and is painful to wear. (I wear Fitflops every day and never feel any pain from their thong.) No, I will not wait to "get used to them" or break them in. Too bad, but they're going back.

I really love these shoes. I wanted to buy an identical pair to match my old blue-metallic pair that bit the dust from wearing them so much, but couldn't find that color. I ordered the black, they are great, but a bit boring compared to my old metallic blues! Also, I usually wear a 10.5 US size and ordered the 42. Unfortunately they are too big, probably by a full size, but I will wear them anyway. Wish I had ordered a size smaller. These shoes are so great for your feet. As other reviews have mentioned, they take a few days to break in, but then the are just wonderful!

This style is my favorite for Birkenstock!!! The plastic toe post if the shoe fits correctly will not bother you! I have serval pairs of Birkenstock shoes as well as Vionic due to plantar facsiitis I will continue to wear both brands! My feet never hurt!!!!!

they were a great fit and style. I absolutely LOVED how they look but, they leather piece between the toes is very thick and stiff. I tried a short walk with them but they caused a huge blister that tore days later and 1 week later I still cant wear my old flip flops. sad because I love them and the color is Beautiful!

Style

First pair Birkenstock and I’m sold. Super comfortable and stylish. Get compliments every time I wear them. Fits true to size for me. Love the color, will buy another pair in a different color.
