Yet again, something that backs up the claim that "they don't make them like they used to." The buckles are made of lightweight plastic as opposed to metal. Not what I expected from Birkenstock nor what I expect of any shoe that costs over $100. Cheap garbage. It wasn't that long ago that I got a pair that was made with a metal buckle. Maybe it's Zappos. Returning and will try ordering directly from Birkenstock.

Very comfortable leather upper and sole, exactly what you would expect. But the toe thing is hard plastic. I don’t understand how anyone could get used to it. Maybe if it softens over time, but that seems like a stretch. These are being returned.

I really wanted to love these shoes but they run small and when you already wear a size 11, you do not have the option to go up a size.

i loved everything about these shoes, style and comfort.... except for the toe thong. right foot was totally comfortable with it but the left foot was not. and the plastic seemed much harder and fatter on the left shoe than the right shoe. i wore around house for a couple weeks and it wasn't getting better... given the price i didn't want to take chance of it not wearing in so i returned. a bit heartbreaking as they were exactly the kind of summer shoe I was looking for... arch support, foot comfort and style. except for that very hard plastic toe thong. :-(

Did not like the toe part. Fits like any other birk otherwise.

This is my second pair. The first pair are OLD and walked all over Hawaii. Thought it was time for a new pair. They're super comfortable, even the piece between your toes, and I'm not always crazy about those. I got the toffee color, which is very much bronze and slightly sparkly. Not what I expected, but pretty!!

I'm usually a size 7.5 or 8 and ordered the 38. These were my first Birkenstocks (I bought them in 2015) and they were so freaking uncomfortable, I was very upset to have wasted so much money on them, so I kept wearing them and kept feeling very frustrated. Then... magically I was walking around and noticed I wasn't uncomfortable anymore, I had been walking for a long time and I was actually great! So I sat on a bench and examined the shoes and my foot had molded the footbed to fit me perfectly.... I guess this is what I had heard Birkenstocks did, but they were SOOOO uncomfortable I didn't believe it. Well... they're now a fabulous shoe, I wear them every spring/fall/summer since 2015 and bought myself a second pair for my birthday.

Love theses sandals. They are light yet supportive. The toe piece was comfortable from the get go. I usually wear a size 38, especially in clogs, but the most comfortable fit for these was a 37.

I haven't owned a pair of Birkenstock shoes in many years, and I loved this style. Fortunately, I was able to try on my friend's size 39 before I ordered and it fit really well. And now I have my own pair and had them for only a few days with no issues in breaking them in. My feet are on the narrower side I'd say, but the regular width works perfectly. Stylish and great for my feet as I am on them constantly as a massage therapist. Highly recommend! Dress up or down:)

I love Birkenstocks. I do feel they run large. My normal shoe size is 7.5 (which would be 38 in Birkenstocks), but I have to go down a size and get a 37 in this brand. They fit perfect. Like any new Birks, you do have to wear them a few times to break them in. After that, they are awesome. I can dress them up or down. This is my second pair and I wear them all the time. Highly recommend!

I read many reviews before ordering. I’m a 8.5 and ordered size 38, which fits excellent, even though the size chart recommended a 39. There’s no way I could wear a 39. From the time these arrived, I haven’t taken them off! No toe adjustment issues at all! Several weeks later, I’m already planning to buy another color prior to returning to work in the fall. I spend a lot of time on my feet teaching, and these will be perfect. They’re SO comfortable, and you can dress them up or down. Highly recommend!

I originally ordered this in a size 40N, as I typically wear a 9 1/2 but they were too short. My toes were pushing against the end of the shoe and the thong was uncomfortable between my toes. I then arranged a return and ordered the 41N. At first I thought it was a bit uncomfortable and was so disappointed. I had wanted a Gizeh style shoe for such a long time but had had trouble finding one in a narrow and knew from trying them on in shops that a medium was too wide. I searched the net on fitting Birkenstocks and found someone showing how she wore her very own Gizehs. She had hers on tighter than I had mine. For some reason, I thought Birkenstocks were to be worn just a bit loose so that you gripped more with your toes. I had mine on the next to last notch. After seeing hers, I tightened mine to the last notch (yes, my feet are that narrow) and surprise, they suddenly felt so much better! They hugged my feet, my arches felt nice and snug and the thong was no problem at all. I walked around the house for a couple days to make certain these really were the shoes for me and decided they were indeed. I’ve made several trips out and about in them and you would think I’ve owned them forever, they’re so comfy. I finally have my Gizehs and I’m so happy I do. I can’t swear they’re for everyone but I think they’re well worth a try.

I love, love, love these!! This is my 3rd pair - my first pair was black patent leather, 2nd & 3rd pairs silver. They are comfortable, the thong between the toes doesn't bother me at all like regular flip flops. Highly recommend!!

Super comfortable and feminine shoe. I am a true size 8 and went with a 38, although technically I would be a 39 (according to the size chart) I found the 38 to be much more comfortable than my recommended size. I love that I can wear this shoe with everything from a day dress to work out clothes. Highly recommend!!!

Replacing the first pair of these shoes that my puppy chewed up! I usually wear a 38 in European sizes (7 1/2 US) but these fit perfectly in a 37. Broken in and comfy after wearing them for one day. Love these sandals!!

I love these shoes. I can teach in them all day and my feet don’t hate me when I get home.

I usually wear a size 8M and the 38 is perfect length in this style. Comfy and cute with Birk support.

I've never tried on a pair of Birkenstock's but I have to say they feel like walking on cement. Sorry they are going back

Very comfortable! I can wear them all day and have no foot or lower back pain. They are a shoe that goes with everything!

I own a lot of Gizeh styles in different colors but the black patent is one of my favorites! It looks a little more dressy, which I like.

Love these shoes. Only sandals I continue to wear each year. Can walk in these all day with no leg or back pain. I also get many compliments on how cute they are! Ive been wearing this style for many years.

These rubbed the side of my foot and leather and sole stiff. I also bought silver Arizona style which was more comfortable. I returned these

Love these sandals! I had my first pair for 7+ years. They broke about 2 weeks ago. I ordered another exact pair. I wear them all through the Spring, Summer and part of Fall. They're the best sandals I've owned. Thanks, Zappos, for getting these to me quickly! Didn't want to be without my Birks for long. :)

The color of the onyx is a bluish gray, it’s not black/gray. It’s a very pretty color. I have 4 pairs of the regular Gizeh and 2 pairs of the Eva Gizeh, these are my favorite style of Birkenstock! I want a Mocha pair next!

I almost always wear a size 7 in shoes, but when I order birkenstocks I have to get a 37 (which is listed as a 6/6.5) and they fit perfectly. As always with birkenstocks the quality is great and they are so cute and also very comfortable.
