Was so excited about my first pair of Birkenstock. I have worn them several times but the thong causes pain. I can't tolerate the thong. So disappointed!

I love these shoes. They fit great. They’re super comfortable. I need shoes with arch support and these are doing an excellent job. I have gotten so many complements on how cute they are. They fit well. I have an odd shaped foot, so I was worried about buying before trying. But they’re great!

Love this style, this is my 3rd pair of these. Very comfortable, supportive, and stylish.

I just didn't care for plastic between toes. It was uncomfortable.

This is my 2nd pair of gizeh birks. I want to assure people that they are super comfortable AFTER you've broken them in. They take about a week of constant wear before they start to become more comfortable, but I assure you, you will love them! Don't be discouraged by how they feel brand new.

Disappointed - I have these in black and love them, despite the cracks they developed in the cork at the balls of my feet. These new ones started squeaking horribly after about 3 weeks of wearing them, and they are driving me crazy. I feel like I wasted a bunch of money... boo.

Not too happy . My toe hurts. Don’t think they were worth the price and aren’t as comfortable as all reviews state . Hope my feet grow into these shoes or I’m at a loss.

As I’m no longer in my 20s I appreciate good support in my shoes. Birkenstocks are wonderful. The Gizeh style runs big for me. I have a 39 in another style and I go for those much more often. I hesitate to grab these ones because they’re just a touch big behind my heel. Otherwise these are great summer sandals.

fit was PERFECT as is usually the case for me with Birkenstocks. They have been on my feet since I got them. I have worn Birkenstocks exclusively for many years due to plantar fasciitis and now I have a place to get the color, size and style that I want at a reasonable price. Thank you Zappos

perfect fit and very pretty!

This is my second pair of the gizeh, they fit great, and very comfy! However, there are so many options for black and they all look the same. I got onyx. The color is more dark silver or slate grey.

Didn't fit well. Space between top of my foot and the sandle straps was too much for them to stay secure. The thong material was too hard for me as well and I tried them around the house for several days.

I love the shoes. The center piece doesn’t bother my toes. They look super cute. Only complaint is they are slightly big. Ordered my usual size 36 (I wear Sz 6 reliably) and they are slightly too long. Not returning them bc I don’t think smaller size is available. I have a pr of Birks in Mayari style in Sz 36 and they fit perfect.

These sandals are extremely comfortable. I was having foot pain from wearing flip flops so much. I needed to find sandals with more support so I thought I would try a pair of Birkenstock. I am thrilled with the fit of these sandals and after wearing them just a few days, my foot pain has disappeared. I am now waiting for my size to become available in some of the print colors. I highly recommend these sandals.

Love the neutral silver. Typical Birkenstock excellent quality. I'm wearing these every day and love the arch support!

My daughter has been wearing Birkenstocks Gizeh for years and swears by their comfort. They look a little cloddy to me and because my foot is very narrow, I didn’t thInk they would fit me. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is a narrow option on Zappos, so I took a chance. I am between an 8 and 81/2 and the 39s were the perfect length. If you get the right size and your foot arch lines up with the very good arch on the shoe, your toe doesn’t even hit the toe divider and it is perfectly comfortable from the outset. I bought these in the graceful pearl white because I wanted something light for the beach. They are actually very pretty and more feminine in that color and yes they are incredibly comfortable!

Good fit. Very comfortable except for the plastic toe piece. I was expecting leather (my mistake) and I got a synthetic with a plastic toe piece that doesn't give. I wore them around the house wanting to love them but alas I realized the battle between the toe piece and my foot was not going to end well and I returned them. The piece that goes between the big and second toe should be flexible and not hard.

My feet are wide and I need a good arch. I thought these were too narrow and the soles felt so hard but I patiently kept wearing them for a few hours at a time. It took less than a week and they are the first shoes I reach for in the morning now. I ordered a second pair in the plastic soles for the beach.

I figured out that if the fit of these sandals is loose, there may be chafing and blisters. Once I tightened the straps for a good fit (mine are on the second to tightest hole), they stopped hurting and now they are the BEST sandals I've ever owned. So my main advice is to be sure you have the right size and strap them on so that there's no space between your skin and the sandal. I'm going to get another pair, these are great.

I normally wear 9 1/2 narrow and I first ordered a size 40 narrow but had to return for a 41 narrow. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I was thrilled to find a narrow size. I like the pearlized white, it's neutral and goes with many items. Terrific arch support and comfort to wear all day.
