Terrible, do not buy! I've had numerous pairs of Birkenstocks over the years, the clogs and sandals. Loved all of them, until this pair. They hurt the bottom of my feet so badly. Worst shoes ever.

Hi Everyone. I am sorry to say that these may be fake Birkenstocks. I have this exact style in a different color from a local Birkenstock store, and they feel totally different from the ones Zappos shipped to me, which they also sent in the wrong size. Usually my feet do great in Birkies, but the last pair I ordered from here and have worn are not nearly as supportive or comfortable. I think these could be a really good fake...but I need the real thing, and will be ordering it from my local store from now on. :/

I was not pleased with order. I really even a smaller size to what I ordered. I think if they didn't hv the size I need they should hv informed me.

I've worn these for years and love them, have 3 pair currently....HOWEVER, I have just discovered that they are the very cause of my toes and parts of my foot going numb. I used to practically live in these as they are great stabilizers for your feet. I even had an orthopedic and podiatrist tell me birkenstocks were great when I had sprained and fractured an ankle. I began having my big and second toe go numb as well as part of my foot and could not figure out why. Finally one day I realized it only happened when I wore these all day. I went back and forth between this style and my old Arizona ones and realized it was the 'plastic' thing between my toes putting pressure on I guess a nerve between my toes. I checked all of the pairs of this style that I have, even the real leather ones and they all have a hard plastic thing between your toes...really? So I am done with this style until they remove the hard plastic divider and use leather that won't cause so much pressure.

I love Gizeh's. I bought two pairs, one from Zappo's and another from a local retailer. I had both for about two months, plus I have a pair of Arizona Birk's. So I rotate between three pairs. Last week I noticed on the Gizeh's, where the toes bend (on the inside of the shoe), the cork was tearing apart. This is after two MONTHS of wearing it once a week for both. I love these shoes, but they are quite pricey, and they are supposed to last forever. Zappo's is awesome. They are taking them back, no questions asked. But this other store is having them repaired. The lady in that store said her Gizeh's are doing the same thing. It's very sad to me because I really love these.

Didn't work for me at all. Surprising how uncomfortable these were. Loose, sloppy fit even with buckle adjustment, unattractive on the foot, and a very uncomfortable footbed.

These are horrible. Most uncomfortable sandals I ever put on my feet. Why do people go nuts with these?? I don't get it at all. I returned them right away.

I have a daughter who now wears the dreaded "size 4," the smallest size in women's shoes, but still also a size that exists in some children's shoes. She is eleven. A fifth grader. And there are no more children's Birkenstocks in her size. Birkenstock makes them - I looked at their website. But no one carries them. Why? Methinks that sellers would rather get the bigger margin on a more expensive pair of sandals than the children's cheaper version. So, this is irksome to me. Also, my daughter is eleven so has an eleven year old's taste. The more expensive women's pairs come in ordinary colors. My daughter likes the neon yellow in the children's sandals. But, these colors are not there for women. Zappos, would you please carry larger children's styles in Birkenstocks? They make them. Please sell them. Birkenstock, unfortunately, only works through dealers. Pretty please? Yes, if you carry them some small women will buy them too, and you will lose those sales of the more expensive item. But, in the process, you will make them happy, too, along with making the parents of eleven year olds very happy. We want Birks for our kids. But why why why should we pay so much for a pair of shoes that they will outgrow so quickly? Please have mercy on parents and families and carry the shoes that we need!

I wear thong sandals all the time and I can't even wear these for 15 minutes without pain from the hard plastic rod they use for the thong. I want to like them and I love the way they look. I keep trying them but I seriously don't know how this style gets the good reviews. I am not saying anything bad about Birkenstock in general, just this style with the hard plastic between the toes. These are going back!

The most painful sandals I have ever tried to wear. The ridge under the toes digs into your skin.

I love these so much and really wanted them to work out, but the section in between your toes is PLASTIC. Why one earth? I had blisters within 5 minutes of walking and it rubbed my skin off. I had 2 pairs and they were too late to return. Such a shame.

I unfortunately choose to order these shoes in spite of all the negative reviews regarding the uncomfortable, hard plastic thong piece separating the toes. My thought process was that since I am a regular flip-flop wearer, the hard plastic piece would not bother me. The reviews turned out to be 100 percent correct! These shoes (which were otherwise soft and comfortable) were downright painful between the toes!

I heard so much about the comfort of the Birkenstock sandal. Ouch! The plastic thong piece cut my foot up so bad that I woke up to my foot throbbing from the pain the next morning. I would not recommend these sandals to anyone who plans to use it as anything more than a glorified slipper.

Very stiff and uncomfortable. A large bump on the outside of the footbed, intended to stabalize the foot, instead dug into my foot and bruised the bone. The bruise took several weeks to heal! I have wide feet and these were listed as narrow, so that could be the problem.

I tried these on in the store and wasn't able to walk 3 steps without feeling massive pain between my toes. Too bad because they are really cute. If they fix the toe piece, I will definitely try again. I ended up purchasing the Arizona here at Zappos instead and love them.

The plastic piece between the toes is hard and uncomfortable. Could not wear them. Not like other Birkenstocks I have purchased

I suffer with heel spurs so the store clerk advised me to buy the Gizeh sandal,I cannot wear it it hurts my foot every time I put it on and walk for a couple minutes I got to take it off it's too hard for my feet and it hurts,I can't take it back to the store because the do not refund and the time has passed for an exchange so I'm stuck with a shoe I can't even wear

The hard plastic thong is unbelievably uncomfortable. I literally could not walk two steps in these without pain. What on earth was Birk. thinking?

Love the way they look, but they do not conform to your feet, your feet need to develop the necessary calluses to wear them comfortably. I've been wearing mine for 2 months and between the toes is the most uncomfortable. I would not recommend them for walking, only for style. I have no problem wearing other thong sandals, but I would not buy another pair of these.

This would have been my 3rd pair of the same exact sandals. I am sending them back because they hurt my feet. It feels like the footbed usually so comfortable has a different shape and the thong between the toes is now made of a very hard plastic.

I'm sure these are extremely comfortable for most people. They run true to size, and have excellent arch support. However, they did not work for me. I've had these sandals for over a year now, and I thought I'd give them time to break in before I wrote a review. When I wore them last summer, it was mostly if I was going to be on my feet, and not do much walking, and at the end of the day, my heels were very sore. I thought I just had to break them in, so I kept wearing them. Yesterday I decided to try them out again, but this time on a long walk. Let me just say that I have blisters on my feet, and barely made it back home because they were so uncomfortable. The hard plastic thong hurt my toes, and it's as if they were worse than when I first wore them. I do have flat feet, so maybe they don't have the right kind of arch support that I need. I really wanted to love them (specially for all the money I spent), but I threw them in the trash because it's too late to receive a refund. As far as looks, they take some getting used to, because if you have big feet, (I wear a 10) they look huge. But in neutral, basic colors, they are actually pretty cute.

I was very disappointed with these sandals overall. They looked very cute on a friend of mine. But on me, very clunky and so uncomfortable. I had to return them. I guess I am just not a Birkenstock girl.

I hate these shoes! Every hipster I know seems to own a pair of these and although I was initially put off by their appearance (not my style), I gave in because of how comfy they were supposed to be. I bought the golden toned ones to add a little bit of style. When I got them I wasn't too impressed by their looks in person, but I did like the gold color and wanted to give them a try. They are the most uncomfortable shoes I own! The sole is so hard and the ridges by the front are so inflexible. After wearing them for weeks, trying to break them in, I've developed a big blister under my big toe that aches every time I put these on. In addition, my feet look like boats in these! I wear a 10, but manage to not look like big foot because my foot is pretty slim. However, the hard inflexible sole makes my foot bed 'quish' and adjust to it, creating this awful foot-widening effect. I hate them and will be giving them away to a brave friend who is willing to give them a go.

I wanted to like these, but hate them. Yes that is a strong word. I had never purchased Birkenstocks before and was not aware of how long they take to break in. Yes, I did not do my research properly and now regret this purchase. I have had these a few weeks and just are not working out, especially the part between my toes. Everyone keeps telling me to wait, they will feel great once they are broken in. If I can't wear them out of the box, they are no good to me. Sorry, I just do not like these.
