The toe post was very uncomfortable & these shoes had been worn….. I was disappointed because Birkenstock is expensive & this sale doesn’t represent them so Zappos you better shape up or get kicked to the curb!

The back fit but my toes kept hitting the front and going over the front part. Any bigger and they would have been huge.

The shoes had two black spots on upper left and because of the buckles being open&uncovered probably a returned product. I have other Birkenstock so I’m aware of how they come packaged. Very unhappy& disappointed!!! Not what I expect from Zappos!!!

While I loved the look and style of these sandals, the post between the toes was made of plastic and very, very uncomfortable. They had to be returned.

The Birkenstock I received were counterfeit products. They weren’t in the Birkenstock box when delivered. They didn’t have the debossed logos, and the leather was thin. Overall, the sandals weighed less than the genuine items I own. VERY DISAPPOINTING! DO NOT BUY Birkenstock from Zappos!!!

I wish I could exchange or return, but I’ve worn them twice. I was hoping my feet would get used to the toe bar between my toes, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. It’s just painful. These are so pretty but soooo uncomfortable. I’m bummed I wasted $100.

these were a terrible fit. I always wear Birkenstock Gizeh-Flor but have never purchased them from Zappo before and I won't again. I'll buy them at a Birkenstock stock were I will get fitted. I have trouble with buying shoes from Zappo the shoes never seem to fit properly.

I loved these shoes. I ordered them a while ago but haven't worn them much since I live in upstate NY. This summer, the sole came apart from the cork footbed. I'm so disappointed in the quality. I've many, many pairs of Birks and LOVE them. But, for the amount of money they cost, they should not fall apart like this.

My first pair 3 years ago were super comfortable. Very minimal break in. The 2nd pair I bought a year ago are incredibly uncomfortable. Still not broken in. It feels like I am standing on a hard golf ball where a comfortable arch should be. Horrible. Wish I had returned instead of thinking they would break in.

way too rigid, gave me a giant sore on bottom of foot. Returned.

I have two pairs of Gizeh in Graceful Toffee & Insignia Blue; both fit perfectly when straps are buckled in the next-to-tightest hole. I want the same sandal in Licorice, but the straps across instep are longer toward the arch and toward the buckle. The Birko-Flor material is now cut using a different pattern. Why?!? How can I get a pair cut the same as the two pairs I have? Please help!? Will you notify Birkenstock for me and for all of us with low arches? Our insteps sit lower in a shoe and the longer straps don’t work! Thank you!

There was a problem with the piece that goes between the toes. It is hard plastic, not leather. This was very uncomfortable and did not give or adjust as leather would.

The thong broke within 3 hours of me putting these sandals on for the first time. I had walked from my car to a restaurant (couple of yards) and we then went for a quick stroll after dinner. Within minutes of leaving the restaurant, my foot hurt. I looked down to see my toes scratched and the thong broken - the cap that ties the leather thong together had fallen off. I’m hoping this was a one off and not an indication of poor quality. My previous version of these sandals lasted for years. I only replaced them because the soles were so worn out. Zappos customer service are sending me a new pair. I hope they last, or else I’ll have to completely switch to Taos and Troentorp

Unfortunately this pair were both defected and I sent them back.

Hurt my feet

Bought the “black patent”. As it’s not leather, it looks like a shiny plastic sandal I just paid $100 for. No thanks, returning promptly

The strap cracked after less than a year of wear! I contacted Birkenstock and they consider it a wear and tear issue. I do not wear these often and have taken good care of them. I thought these shoes were quality and that I could expect some time from them (especially at the price). A little customer service would have gone a long way but now they have lost a customer. Too many other good brands.

Not too happy . My toe hurts. Don’t think they were worth the price and aren’t as comfortable as all reviews state . Hope my feet grow into these shoes or I’m at a loss.

Love the shoes. I'm so disappointed. I thought the shoe would be perfect for my current foot issues. The shoe has no bend and is not wide enough. So, I will be returning shoes.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock's and after a short break in period, I fell in love. However, after less than a year of ownership and less than 6 months of wear (I don't wear them in the winter), the foot bed is peeling away from the cork outer sole and the cork outer sole is also cracking. I don't leave them outside to bake in the summer sun nor have they been submerged or gotten wet. I am very dissapointed by the workmanship. Based on what others have said, I was expecting to have this sandal last me for years, not just a few months!

The footbed is "Birkinstock comfortable." Size fits perfectly. However, the toe spacer hurts. I have been wearing it at home on hard floors for almost a week and it still hurts. Now I am stuck with a pair of useless sandals that hurt but I feel bad about returning because it looks worn. A failed purchase. Very disappointed.

The foot bed size seemed perfect - UNTIL I stood up and felt it was hard as a rock. This style claims to be good for those with ball of foot pain; but I couldn't even take one step. The entire foot bed and sole is rigid and inflexible - like wood. Very disappointed. Will be returning the sandals and the shoe care kit.

Extremely comfortable however completely destroyed. I purchase a new pair about every 6 months but it’s just too expensive and the same thing happens. The bed falls apart and the sole comes unglued. I will no longer buy this brand.

It's too bad - I really love this style and have pairs of similar style in other brands. I ordered the black because I liked the black metal accents. Regarding the fit - 38 was to big and 37 fit right (I'm a 7-7.5). HOWEVER, the 37 were extremely uncomfortable in the toe/thong AND (regardless of size) the shoe over all was SO DISAPPOINTINGLY UNCOMFORTABLE and I'm so surprised. I tried them around inside my house before committing and I could not imagine them breaking in and wouldn't want to go through the torture. I do not have problems with my feet or other shoes of any style in general. Returning :(
