the left shoe is defective and tilted my foot towards my instep causing ankle paind. i am returnong these - very unhappy that a defective shoe was sold.

The sandals were very stiff and the footbed does not bend or give at all - no cushioning. the leather top was stiff also. I returned then.

For this brand the material is cheap looking plastic. Yuck.

Had to return as the thong between the toes was so uncomfortable. If it wasnt for that, I would have been very happy.

These birks are cute and comfy but I have to give them one star for durability. I’ve had pairs of birks that last years but I’ve worn these for less than 3 months and the straps are cracking. They look horrible. I’ve worn this same style for years and never had anything like this happen. Either I got a lemon, or quality has gone downhill. Buy at your own risk.

Is Zappos now a used shoe store? Had to return the first pair of Birkenstocks I ordered because they had multiple blemishes in the footbed, as if they were worn. The second pair that I received today had toe marks on the footbed. No denying they were worn! And to add insult to injury, the $20 coupon for my troubles the first time around was never applied to this order. Heading on vacation tomorrow with $99 pre-worn Birkenstocks from Zappos. I have no time to return. Yes, they are comfortable. But had to give 1 Star across the board for sending me used shoes two times in a row. What is happening to Zappos?

These were so uncomfortable i returned them tried to break them in around the house but no way. I wore them a long time ago with no problem. Just not for me

The 39 is not a women's 8-8.5. It's a full size larger

Disappointed that shoes of this price point and from a premium brand and premium supplier like Zappos come in a plain, non branded box. These were a gift. They look like knock offs.

I was very disappointed with this purchase. First, they are not leather. The fit is good but extremely uncomfortable. The plastic tab for the thong is very painful and makes these unwearable for long periods of time. I'm hoping that I'll be able to break them in. They look really nice!

The left shoe is defective because a staple is sticking out on the side that is against the foot. A previous customer put a sticky note on the shoe that pointed out it was defective because of the staple.

Too big. Need a 38 That would be a true size 8

The absolute most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever had the displeasure of having on my feet. I’m giving “comfort” one star because they wouldn’t let me give zero stars.

I’m so disappointed - these sandals really hurt. The spot where my toe touches the middle thong (between toes) is so rough my toe was bloody and burning after walking in them for just a few blocks. Size is fine - I’m not wearing a size too small. The materials used are just not good. Not at all what I expected from birks.

This is the 4th pair of Birkenstock sandals I have owned. Normally I love them and buy the exact style and color every time. However, this time, within a few weeks of wearing the strap cracked. It's like the leather was brittle. Something was certainly made differently with this pair of Birkenstocks than previous purchases. Returning and disappointed the quality seems to have changed.

This is my first pair of Birks. The footbed really hurt the first few days I wore them, but are now comfortable. The worst part is that the gold cracked the first time I wore them on my right foot and within the week on my left. Birkenstock sent me a replacement, but I'm afraid they will do the same thing.

They are very hard to break in and not comfortable.

Got these today and I immediately knew the hard plastic between toes will never give, very uncomfortable

Could not get the sizing on these right. I normally wear a US 10 and am almost always an EU 41. Order these in 42,41, and 40, based on reviews. 41 was loose even on tightest setting. Size 40 felt nice and snug but was like a millimeter too short. That won’t work with Birks. Unfortunately, I’ll have to return all 3

Fit seemed ok but the plastic piece between my toes was terribly uncomfortable and I knew I'd never get used to it. My daughter has these and loves them, and they look really cute. I love Birckenstocks but these didn't work.

Along with these shoes being a used/return pair the toe post was very uncomfortable. I was disappointed & sent them back!
