These are great all purpose sandals. This purchase is actually my second pair of this exact shoe -- my original pair was rendered useless when my lovely black lab decided to eat one of them, leaving me with half a pair. They're great for travel, easy to walk in, but better looking than Tevas.

I was excited about getting these but the toe post was not comfortable for me at all. I returned them - they were nice looking.

I have super wide feet and most shoes have to be wide width. I purchased these in a 41 and they were a bit too narrow for me. I was desperate for arch support at my job and just dealt with the fact they were a tiny bit too narrow. After about 3 weeks of wear they aren't bothering me except along the outside edge of my foot, where they pinch a little bit. I've just ordered another pair in a size up and will keep my current pair for running around town in. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who stands all day. I work retail on concrete and while they may not be "squishy" they are extremely comfortable. The Arch support has seriously taken a ton of pressure of the balls of my feet. They also are not having the wear and tear issues most of my other shoes have, being used so often and for such long periods of time.

I love these in silver. Always thought Birkenstock sandals would be too wide for my very narrow feet, but these were perfect! If you have narrow feet, buy these, but save me a pair in copper! As usual great service from Zappos!

I have five pairs of these in different colors, have worn them for years. I wear them in winter sometimes with socks and summer. People compliment me on them and can't believe that they are Birkenstocks.

Finally, a feminine Birkenstock that fits perfectly. I was hoping all the reviews were right about this one seeming a little big. Usually, I have one toe or other hanging/almost hanging off the edge of a Birkenstock. These, size 42 (11-11½) fit perfectly. Not only that, the Moroccan Gold is lovely, not tacky at all, and will be perfect with so many outfits. I work in a business casual environment but always try to look put-together. I cannot wait to try another color. Thank you, Zappos!

I read a bunch of reviews and finally picked size 37. I am 7½-8. Everything fit perfectly... except for my long toe. The sandals are sunken in and my toe constantly hits the ridge by the toeline. I returned these and since they did not have a 38 in black had to upgrade to the leather Gizeh Sandals. Even though I returned these I am still giving them five stars. They are very comfortable!

Ahh the comfort of a Birkenstock footbed, but the look of a pretty modern sandal. Even my teenage daughter wears these. Cuter than they look in the picture. So comfortable.

They run a size large. I bought them, love them, but I ordered a 39 as my other Birks are but these are just a size to large. I have a wide foot and the regular are perfect. Other than that they are awesome! As far as the exchange, they don't have my size in the color I like (copper) so either I'm stuck with them...or I can wait it out.

These shoes were uncomfortable, even painful, at first but seem to be improving. Just don't start out by wearing them all day. I do love Birkenstocks, though, so I haven't given up on these.

Love the Birkenstock Gizeh Sandal! This is my first pair of Birks which I purchased after seeing several of my friends wearing them and they all raved about the Gizeh Sandal as well. I wore it all day in San Diego (4 x 8 hour days of sightseeing) and continued to wear them in NYC until the weather got colder - they are that comfortable. I tried a couple other Birk styles, but they did not fit as well as the Gizeh. My only complaint is that I am regularly a 37 in European size (6.5-7 US), and had to go down a 35 in these Birks, otherwise my feet were swimming in the sandal. I think that part of the reason it's so comfortable is not only the strong arch support and adjustable strap, but also the wide footbed (although I have medium width feet).

Shoe looks as pictured. Fits well and is comfortable. I am an old Birkenstock person, this being my first new shoe in a while. I thought the old Birkenstock were more supple. This one feels stiff and the inner sole hard. Maybe it will soften. Also, the strap is rather stiff and not the nice suede the old ones were made of. I would have purchased the more expensive one if it did not cost so much more. Nice that this one is in narrow, fits a narrow foot well. Not many shoes come in narrow.

Never had much regard for Birkenstock in terms of style, but when I saw the new sandals line I changed my mind. I couldn't find a retail locations in SF but (of course) Zappos.com offered a wide selection of styles and colors. I guessed at size and guessed right, but had I been wrong Zappos.com provides free shipping both ways, orders and returns. I count on Zappos.com as my primary shoe store. Zappos.com is a terrific source: totally customer-focused, a clean, simple interface, and a pleasure.

These sandals are wonderful. Very comfy with great support for a thong type sandal. Stylish too. As always, Zappos customer service people are phenomenal... many thanks!

Love them, but too big. Ordered 39 like my other Birkenstocks, but I think they fit better because of back strap, which these do not have.

Love these sandals! I ordered my first pair about two weeks ago and now have pair #2 on the way. As per the recommendations of other customers, I ordered a full size smaller than I normally wear (I am usually an 8.5-9 and I ordered the 39). They fit perfectly! I have a wide-ish foot and the regular width fits just right. It took me several wears to break them in, but now that I have--I never want to take them off! As a perpetual flip flop wearer, I am happy to have invested in a shoe that is versatile, comfy, and cute.

The faux leather upper on the upper made these look cheap. In addition, I am a true size 7 and the size 38 was huge on me! I was hoping to like this one instead of the more expensive real leather version. But these are is going back. As always, I do have to commend Zappos on their excellent service! I did not love these sandals, but I absolutely love Zappos!

Gotta love a good pair of Birks! And these are they. My only semi-complaint, is that the black of the birko-flor is not a bolder black - almost a distressed black. But still look great and give the excellent comfort and support of Birkenstocks! As for sizing, I always wear a size 8/8.5 in all shoes - however, in Birks I always order a size 38 (7/7.5). The 39 (suggested for 8/8.5) is always a little too long and a little too wide. I personally feel uncomfortable in a shoe that is too large.

Love these Birkenstocks! So stylish - I'm receiving compliments from people who would normally hate Birks. The footbed, as always, is so comfortable. I do see what other reviewers are saying about the thong itself. Perhaps if it had been made out of something softer or more flexible? The fact that it's so rigid makes it slightly uncomfortable. Overall I'm very happy though.

This was a great price for great shoes. Additionally you cannot beat the service provided by Zappos. I placed my order, had my confirmation and had my shoes in three days. When it comes to customer satisfaction, Zappos delivers. Plus I love my Birkenstocks, and Zappos price was the lowest. I will buy again from Zappos.

I really wanted to invest in some nice sandals that could give me some support and weren't flip flops. I was worried these wouldn't be very supportive without a back strap but they definitely are.The adjustable top strap really helps. Because they are European sizes I was unsure of what to go with. I am a size 7.5 or 8. I ordered a I 39 to start and then returned them for a 38. I have a wide foot and the 39 was better width-wise but it was way too long. The 38 works great. They take some breaking in and I got a few blisters in the beginning. Now I wear them all the time and walk for long periods or distances without concern.

I love these sandals! So comfortable and easy to clean. I recently wore these everyday on a vacation in Barcelona. My feet were happy and I felt stylish, too.

Very comfortable! My brother had a pair of Birkie's so I decided to get some. I'm traveling to a different country, and during the heat these shoes will be great for walking all day! I would definitely recommend these to a friend.
