This style does not fit my foot correctly. I normally wear a women's 10, regular width. In this style, the 40 is too long. When my heel is fitted properly in the heel cup the part that goes between the toes is too far forward. The 39 fits well length-wise, but my foot spills over the side, so the outside of my foot goes over the edge. I have a very slightly wide foot but I have never bought a wide width shoe. I also tried this sandal in the oiled leather version, and the oiled leather was more comfortable between the toes and the straps. It is worth the extra money to get the real leather.

I really loved the shoes but the bitko-flor just seemed so cheap i chose to return them and spend the extra money on a pair in leather. It just seemed like if your paying $100 for sandals the material should have been nicer

I like how these sandals feel, nice and supportive. I had to send them back because I could not tolerate the toe thong. I tried to break them in but I could not get them to feel good.

The molded “bar” under the toe area of the footbed is very uncomfortable for me in several sizes of several styles, so I have concluded that I can’t wear Birkenstock sandals.

I love Birks, but the part between the toes on these is ridiculously uncomfortable. These also felt stiff, but if I remember correctly with my pair of classic Birks, that goes away once you break them in a bit.

I have worn these a few times. This particular style runs a size larger than other Birkenstock’s I own. It is past the return date .

The toe divider was horribly rigid and hurt pretty bad. Had to return them. I loved the blue color and really wanted them to work.

I've loved the look of this shoe on other people's feet. But I have a low instep and it just doesn't cinch closely enough to fit. Even on the last hole, the shoe slips around or off when I walk. Punching an additional hole wouldn't work -- it would torque the strap too much. I'm exchanging these for a pair of Mayari, which has two separate straps to tighten or loosen.

Love the style...fit was good... BUT IF the thing between the toe was not so hard and is made very hard rubber~~~ it kills me!!! No breaking that in!!!!

I’m moving to the southern Caribbean for 10 months and needed sandals more substantial than my beloved Rainbow flip flops. I wear a US women’s 7.5-8 (medium width) in street shoes (9 in ASICS gym shoes) and ordered 38 narrow in the golden brown Gizeh Birko-flors. My feet pushed up against the edges and the last three toes of my left foot felt jammed into the footbed. The toepieces were also too long, covering about half of my big toenails. The Birko-flor material seemed less substantial than traditional leather (tobacco, rubbed leather, etc.) I returned them and went to a local Birk shop for an expert fitting. Ended up buying 39 regular in the rose gold Gizehs. They fit PERFECTLY when strapped to the tightest notch.

I really wanted to keep these sandals but the piece between the toes was bulky and uncomfortable. It's never a good sign when you're in pain as soon as you put the shoe on. I was disappointed because I really liked the style and just couldn't make it work.

love this sandal unfortunately it was too big. i’ve since ordered a different style birkenstock in a smaller size and i love it. my fault - i should have returned these.

The right shoe's heal area was narrower than the left. The left shoe fit great but the right shoe had a very different feel and was not comfortable. It squeezed my heal. Over time it may have formed to my foot like my other three pair have done but not willing to take a chance.

Despite the instructions that told me 37 = US 6-6.5, this shoe was enormously too long. In a Birkenstock, that really matters. If I put my toes where the toe bed contours are, the heel is grotesquely far back. If I put my heel in the heel bed, the contours of the toe area really hurt. In addition, this "too big" shoe was also too narrow--and I have ordinary "medium width" feet in every other shoe brand I've ever worn.

I really want to love these, they are so cute and the foot bed feels great. Maybe it’s just my feet, but the thing between the toes feels very hard and gave me a blister 30 minutes into first wear. Also a terrible blister on the top of my 2nd toe where the silver part rubs when walking. Maybe it’s just my feet (wide, high arched)? But sigh.. Searching for comfortable city walking shoes, the quest continues.

Really wanted to like these, but they hurt my arches! I've read other reviews that say you have to be patient and break them in, but I just couldn't!

These seem to be very popular and more of a fashionable Birkenstock. Lots of Birkenstock reviews will tell you that a “narrow” width is more of a normal women’s width but I found it a touch narrow for my feet (that tend to be narrow!). I wear an 8.5 and tried both the narrow and regular and found the narrow too narrow in that my end toes hung off. I would have to go up from a 39 in order to wear the narrow but the 39 regular was too loose and clunky. The silver color was darker than I expected, not a light shimmery silver. Ultimately I returned both sizes but am considering trying a 40 narrow in the white as they’re so cute when I see them on other people!

I normally wear 6.5 wide in most shoes, but size 37 was way too long and yet the width was too narrow even though I got the wide. I wanted to like these because they are more attractive than the Arizonas, but the fit was just too long and narrow. I ended up buying Arizonas in 36 and they were perfect.

Loved the look of the shoes and the color of the toffee straps. I am new to birkenstocks and are playing around with them due to self diagnosed plantar's fasciitis. Difficulties on my part personally are really wide and thick feet (kind of like Fred Flintstone!). I often have issues with straps that go across the foot by the ankle (I tried the mayara's and had to return them because of this). I had hoped that these ones would be a little longer as they appear to be a little more unisex in design. Unfortunately, the buckled strap was not long enough for my thick foot :( . As far as the fit and such, it felt like the shoe was wide enough for my foot (got the medium width), and the foot bed seemed to be the right size (42's-I wear a size 11 in women's). It's just the darn strap was too short for me, but I knew this was a possibility going in. I would say if you have "normal" feet, these would be great for you.

The size was much larger than i had expected, including the width. I am going to try a size down and hope for the best!

I never thought of birkenstocks to be all that comfortable and this style wasn't so nice looking. The thong/toe part is very stiff and cut into my toes plus I felt like I was clenching my toes to keep the sandals on my feet. I sent them back because I can definitely find shoes that are nicer looking and comfortable as well. Not worth the price either. I would rather go with the 2 strap birkenstocks then the toe sandal

I have been wearing this style of Birks for several years and currently have three other pair in my closet. These are SOOO narrow compared to the others. I am not sure if they are mis-marked as a regular, when it is really a narrow, but they see going back. Too bad, I love the dark bronze color.

I have always hated (yes hated) the way Birkenstocks look but I saw this style on someone else and really liked the look. Everyone raves about how comfortable these are so I bit the bullet and bought a pair. So far these things are torture chambers - ouch! I have a feeling it’s the arch. I have high arches and because these have good arch support, things aren’t lining up. After wearing them for a couple of hours I could barely walk. I’m hoping I can break them in. I used to have a pair of sandals years ago with similar arches and I initially had the same problem. Hoping for a transformation in how these wear. They are super cute. I’ll wear them a little everyday. If it doesn’t get any better I guess they are going to charity or to a friend with the same size.

These shoes are SO CUTE on, but I was disappointed to find that the little part between the toes really is as uncomfortable as other reviewers claimed. Maybe the real leather ones aren’t as stiff? I tried to love them, but after a couple hours wearing them to try to break them in, I started to feel blisters forming. I’d been coveting these shoes for years, so I am sad that they didn’t work out.

I’ve never had Birkenstocks before. I think I would have really liked them, but just didn’t care for the silver, non-leather look. Didn’t seem like they would mold to your foot like leather might.
