These are supposed to have more cushion "Birko-Flor" than others, but there is no difference.

I really love these shoes. The fit is great. However, the quality is not quite up to the brand’s par. The soles wore down to the cork after wearing them for about a month or so. I’ve been buying Birkenstocks for nearly 30 years and I’ve never had this problem. Zappos customer service was great about the issue, though.

I typically wear a 7 or 7 1/2 but I ordered a 37 and they fit. I ordered a 38 in another style of Birkenstocks and they were slightly big. While I like the look of this shoe, I'm not a fan of it from a comfort perspective. I didn't realize that the thong is actually plastic and it's very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I wore them thinking they would become more comfortable, which they have not, so now they sit in my closet.

I was excited to received this but it’s full size bigger. Im waiting for the replacement and will update my review

Why can’t the toe piece be soft and comfortable as opposed to a hard and punishing?

The patent leather was very stiff and didn't mold to my foot. Sending back.

Great look, but the leather on the toe and arch area is wider and digs into those areas.

These are made of synthetic leather, which feels... weird. The stylenis also weird. The top piece that connects to the piece between your toes is long and bulky. It kind of extends over your toes. The footbed is very supportive, and they fit true to size, but I found them very unappealing.

I really like these but like other people have noted, the center strap that goes between the toes is really hard and painful! I am used to wearing shoes thongs but this one is really tough. I am hoping to break it in, but so far all I have is a painful sore between my toes!

I lived in Gizehs as well as Bostons for years and finally developed a callus - due to what appears to be the beginnings of a bunionette - on my right foot. I tried the next TWO sizes up, and both of them pushed on the problem area. Very sad I have to transition to another shoe, because these were great for my plantar fasciitis! I wish they made a wide!

Plastic toe support too stiff and ruins this great sandal. Uncomfortable and I’ll be returning. Sad

Had to return the item because it ran big. I am a 8.5 in women shoes and I have to go down a size.

So these are everything I love about birks, except for the first time in my Birkenstock life, they caused major pain in my front pad of my foot. I actually thought it had to be something else and it took me months to finally suspect these. As I'm a flat footer who's always been able to wear birks...these just have too much arch support for me to the point of pain. And I'm so disappointed. And yes, I wore them for over a year now and even gently hammered the arch and sections of the footbed that felt too bulbous to my foot. Still foot pain. Now that I haven't worn them for a month and my foot is feeling much better...darn. I'll miss these and my other pair of birks.

These were huge compared to other birks. Definitely love the look but have to size down 1 whole size

Very disappointed! Birkenstock has altered the size from original. I have compared with my old pair, 37 Narrow and they fit me perfectly, now they are shorter and narrower. I tried 37 Regular, they're too wide and too big !

The size was perfect - the fit was not great

The shoes fit great and are not uncomfortable except for the huge strap that covers my big and next toe almost completely. They push my toe ring off and the overall "look" of the shoe is not great. I've always loved Birkenstocks but these are not my favorite. You can't just slip them on because the strap is so wide. I bought them for this past weekend and wore them, just because my others had been chewed up by a dog. But if I had the time I would've definitely sent them back.

nice shoe but runs short I am a 11 and it is a little short.

I really wanted to love these Gizeh’s, my first Birkenstocks. But I guess I don’t have the patience needed to adjust to the toe grip. My granddaughters and daughter in law swear by them. I guess grandma will need to look elsewhere. The shoe is very cute on the foot and if you don’t mind the toe grip go for them..

I can’t really review these because they are waaaaay too big! I ordered the same size in the regular two strap style and they fit fine, but these were so big I couldn’t even wear them! Also, I ordered the Onyx which looked like a flat navy. It is not, it’s a shiny dark grey. Not a bad color, but not what it looks like in the photo.

Too long for short toes

These were the proper length shoes for me (I usually wear an 8M) and the bottom was comfortable, but the part that goes between the toes was very uncomfortable. Sadly they are going back.
