These are my 2nd pair of Birkenstock Sandals. They are soooooo comfortable I could walk in them all day. I've had other thong sandals no comparison. I am getting ready to purchase my 3rd pair.

I wanted to like these, but hate them. Yes that is a strong word. I had never purchased Birkenstocks before and was not aware of how long they take to break in. Yes, I did not do my research properly and now regret this purchase. I have had these a few weeks and just are not working out, especially the part between my toes. Everyone keeps telling me to wait, they will feel great once they are broken in. If I can't wear them out of the box, they are no good to me. Sorry, I just do not like these.

These sandals definitely take some breaking in. I bought them for a weekend trip to Chicago and by the 3rd day I had to switch back to regular flip flops because the bottom of my foot hurt so much. I am also waiting to get used to the toe separator which is much thicker than on the average flip flop. They are good, sturdy, supportive sandals though. And the customer service I received was unbelievable!

A must-have! I am a true size 10 medium and these fit perfectly in a 41 narrow. I got the white patent and they wipe clean very easily. There is a break in period so I was only able to wear these for a few hours at a time. Once they're broken in, they are amazing. The arch support is amazing and they look good with everything.

These shoes are super comfortable. The toe strap felt a bit weird at first but did not rub or pinch. I wear a size 7 and ordered a 38. There is a bit of room to spare but this type of fit is suggested by Birkenstock. Overall great purchase and well worth the money.

I have a sore heel and it was not until I bought a pair of Birkenstocks that I got some relief and was able to walk without limping. They worked so well, that I will probably purchase another pair. I also appreciated the service that I received.

Bought two pair of Birkeys and they fit like a glove. I love them and the service at Zappos was phenomenal.

I've wanted these thongs in patent leather for years, and I'm happy I finally indulged. At a recent party while the other women were tottering around in their heels, I had on my sexy black patent Birkenstocks. Later in the evening when they were either barefoot or complaining of sore feet, I still had on my sexy black patent Birkenstocks and my feet were happy.

This is my third pair of Gizeh sandals. Love the color and the texture of the Birko-Flor, not too shiny.

These are my very best most comfortable shoes ever. I have plantar fasciitis, and these have always fit the bill. I bought a pair a few years ago in Outer Banks, and wore those out. I was exceedingly happy to find these once again here as they were nowhere to be found in the stores where I had been looking!

This is my second pair of Gizeh Birko-Flors -- they are my favorite sandal ever! I bought them originally because I thought they were cute, but then this winter, as I struggled through months of plantar fasciitis, I discovered that these were just about the only shoes that made walking tolerable. Don't know how I'd survive without my Birkies!

I love these, they feel really good on my feet! Already ordered another pair and a pair for my mom. I would say a 38 is an 8 or 8.5 not 7-7.5.

I bought these shoes for a trip. I am glad I wore them for a few days before I left because it did take some time to feel comfortable with them. The arch support is terrific, and I was able to spend long days walking around without any discomfort. The sole is a bit harder than I am used to, I usually wear Fit Flops, but they did provide cushioning. Also to their credit, they looked as good as new after 16 days of travel.

These are my go to summer sandals. They are super comfortable and stable on my foot . I find them more streamlined and stylish versus other Birk styles.

I've loved these and wanted a pair for years. Unfortunately, once I tried them on, the hard plastic thong was a deal-breaker. It hurt, even walking on carpet at home! I will get the Mayari instead.

I was so impressed with how quickly I received these new shoes! The fit, comfort and price are perfect. These are a must for people who love their feet!

Just noting that the video description is not totally accurate. The woman is wearing a pair at least a size too small! You should have plenty of room around your entire foot in the sandal, and at least ¼" at the end of the shoe. Otherwise weird parts of your feet will hurt from walking on the wrong parts of the shoe! With the right fit, Birkenstocks are amazing footwear. Please note that they do run bigger, and the regular size is really only for people who have somewhat wider feet, especially across your toes. If you have narrow feet at all, you will be happiest with the narrow width. Be prepared to try a few pairs/styles to find the right size, but you will not be disappointed! I have worn Birkenstocks for many years, and I always wear a 39 (US 8-8½), even though in most shoes I would wear a 9-9½! Keens fit me well because they are wider, and so the regular width in Birkenstocks is perfect for me.

This is the first Birkenstock sandal for me and it has lived up to its reputation. Its very comfortable, easy to break in and a great color. I needed to go a size smaller than my normal US size 7. I will definitely recommend the Gizeh!

Love the style, and the comfort is good--except for the rigid plastic thong for the toe. This hurts my foot. Don't understand why Birkenstock would go to all the trouble of molded cork footbed, etc, and then use a hard plastic thong. At least wrap the dang thing in foam, eh?

These are very comfortable. I have always shied away from flip-flop shoes because they offered no support, but these sandals felt as though they were molded to my feet. They actually get more comfortable the longer I wear them!

the perfect sandal? pretty much, yes ! if you have had many Birkis (like me), then you know you will be ecstatic with this lovely and comfy shoe! if you are NEW to Birkis, well then you should just go ahead and try it. it is the PERFECT sandal for the city, for walking and touring, for driving, and for just hanging about the house.. they are NOT water shoes, but they still dry and hold up fairly well if you get stuck in rain.. really, folks: this is an amazing sandal and makes the foot never want to wear any other kind of summer sandal!

Love these Birks! I've had them at least 4 years and that feel just as good as when I first bought them. Plus they didn't look like other Birks.

Love these! I heavily debated whether to purchase them. I was worried based on other reviews that thong between the toes might hurt. It did not at all for me and these shoes were extremely comfortable from day one and still are. Super cute, too. I highly recommend.

These shoes were comfortable from the very first time that I put them on. They are my new Go To shoes for every day wear.

This is my 3rd pair of Gizeh Birks...I bought the first in a little shop near the Duomo in Firenze (Florence, Italy). I think I wear these sandals for half of the days of the year. Cute, keep your foot in proper alignment as only Birkenstock can do & very durable; they will go at least two years for me. I got one of them resoled and now they should go for another year at minimum. Worth every penny. Great arch support.
