Bought these to replace the pair I had, which had a crack in the cork bed and was unrepairable. I put these new ones on, and was instantly reminded of how stiff they can be right out of the box -- the old pair was completely molded to the shape of my feet after seven years, and almost felt like part of my feet. Nevertheless, these are very comfortable, and I know they will soften as I wear them. The more I wear them, the better. They are less sporty than other Birkenstock designs and I wear them with skirts and dresses. My feet are on the small side of size 5, and I got 35. Perfect fit. I like that I can adjust the strap to fit my narrow feet. Highly recommended.

Amazing shoe. I just got back from a two week trip to India and never took them off. Great heal and arch support.

Love these shoes. Got them in a narrow width and they are less clunky that way. Very stylish, modern, yet comfortable.

Excellent sandals! Comfortable right out of the box. I had no problem with the toe piece, although I frequently do with other sandals. I got the titanium color and they look almost gladiatorial (in a good way). I'm glad to be back in some Birkenstocks.

These are my all time favorite sandals. They are so comfortable that I always choose them over athletic shoes even for very long walks. I love that they come in so many different colors and also widths because I have narrow feet. I can't say they are the most stylish (my husband hates them), but I don't care because they make my feet so happy! I have three pairs.

I bought my first pare of Birkenstocks based on the great reviews and they looked cute and comfortable. However, I am having hard time breaking them in. They are uncomfortable, feel stiff and hurts my feet. I am hoping they will eventually adapt to my feet so I can enjoy them.

I love Zappos and their excellent customer service. The toffee is a beautiful brown with the perfect hint of shine that dresses them up just a bit. Unfortunately, these sandals run really big and it took me three tries to figure out my size - once I did the sandal was out of stock. I wear a 7 in most shoes and a 38 in Danskos, but I wear a 36 in these! So take note when ordering and try at least one size down.

This is my 3 rd pair of Gizeh's so obviously I love them. Birkenstocks are the only shoe I can wear all day, almost standing and walking all day, and not have hurting feet. Love the color: it looks silver in some light, and and more of a bluish green in some lots. Looks great with khaki! Dressy but casual. love them!

The red Gizeh Birko-Flor sandals I received are great. Love the color. This is my 5th pair of Gizeh Birko-Flors and I would highly recommend them.

I love love love these sandals! This was my fourth pair! I keep buying these particular sandals because they are perfect for work, hanging out, going out, vacations, and anything else I may do in the summer! They are flip flops without the flip flop! They stay on my feet and always feel secure even if I need to take off into a sprint or do ninja kicks. I recommend these to anyone who wants to be comfy and look cool!

This is probably the most attractive Birkenstock style. The silver is very versatile and beautiful (can be dressy or casual). I bought 38 narrow and it fits fine. I do suffer from plantar fasciitis and can say that this is not the best sandal for that condition because one needs more arch support (and cushioning) than this sandal provides. For me, this is a sandal I wear for very brief periods. It does hold to the foot well if you adjust the straps accordingly. It is a stiff sandal (as you Birk wearers already know) so it takes some time to mold to your foot.

This would have been my 3rd pair of the same exact sandals. I am sending them back because they hurt my feet. It feels like the footbed usually so comfortable has a different shape and the thong between the toes is now made of a very hard plastic.

Love my new Birkenstocks, they're super-comfortable so I can go on walks without compromising my feet/legs by wearing flip-flops. I always thought they were too crunchy for me, but this style in the metallic colors are super-stylish. I normally wear a size 6.5-7, so ordered both the size 6 and 7. I ended up fitting perfectly into the size 6 and gave the other pair to my mother-in-law. They're breaking in quickly, but I never had any problems with the toe area. Probably because I wear flip-flops so often since we live near the beach.

I ordered these and a pair of Orthaheels at the same time. I have problems with pain in my right foot from living in flip flops all summer long with no arch support. So I decided to quit being cheap and splurge on sandals with arch support. I normally wear an 8.5, sometimes 9, so I ordered the 39. It is definately way bigger than I had anticipated. I have been using a pair of Superfeet 3/4 long inserts in my shoes and knew from speaking with a salesman in a store that it isn't so much the cushioning, but the arch support and the heel cup that help the most. So I am use to the arch support, heel cup and hard feel from the inserts, but these Berks aren't as comfortable as I expected. I don't know if it is because they are too big or lack of cushioning or both, but they are not as comfy as the Orthaheels that I got. I am debating returning them. If I return them, I'm not sure if I would get a smaller size or just get another pair of Orthaheels. I do like the style though, they are very cute.

I love the black patent! Dresses up or down, and looks a little special. My fiance does not like the gladiator look, and he thought these to be in that genre. (Can you believe there's a man on the planet that doesn't love that look?) I totally disagree with his conclusion, but I do want him to like what he sees on my feet so back they went. I opted for another style of Berkies in silver leather! Same affect I wanted to achieve... I love my Berkies -- have worn them for more years than I care to publish.

Second pair. The first pair lasted 10 years! I love them because you can order them in Narrow. Excellent treatment for your feet!

I just bought the Gizeh in silver. The toe piece is very comfortable, maybe because I am already used to wearing a sandal with a thong strip? I wear an 8 AAA but a 38 narrow in Birkenstock fit great. This is my 2nd pair, and having a knee injury, I love the arch support. The silver color adds a nice bit of glam, too.

I'm sure these are extremely comfortable for most people. They run true to size, and have excellent arch support. However, they did not work for me. I've had these sandals for over a year now, and I thought I'd give them time to break in before I wrote a review. When I wore them last summer, it was mostly if I was going to be on my feet, and not do much walking, and at the end of the day, my heels were very sore. I thought I just had to break them in, so I kept wearing them. Yesterday I decided to try them out again, but this time on a long walk. Let me just say that I have blisters on my feet, and barely made it back home because they were so uncomfortable. The hard plastic thong hurt my toes, and it's as if they were worse than when I first wore them. I do have flat feet, so maybe they don't have the right kind of arch support that I need. I really wanted to love them (specially for all the money I spent), but I threw them in the trash because it's too late to receive a refund. As far as looks, they take some getting used to, because if you have big feet, (I wear a 10) they look huge. But in neutral, basic colors, they are actually pretty cute.

Comfortable and classic without looking so cumbersome. Perfect for spring and summer in Arizona.

They are attractive and true to the picture. They have been a little more challenging than I would like for the breaking-in process. I wound up with a long airport layover and had to do a lot of walking during the layover and by the end, I was in pain. The top strap has cut into the top of my foot on more than one occasion and left a cut mark. I'm hoping this problem goes away as the footbed becomes a little more flexible for moving with me. I have had this exact same shoe/model in the past and it feels like more trouble getting used to it, this time around. I'm hoping the discomfort goes away with time and use. Bottom line, if you get these, plan to break them in slowly and gradually. Don't wear them for long days of standing and pounding the pavement. I gave the comfort a two stars rating because of this issue but I'm hopeful that once they're broken in, they'll become 4 or 5 starts rating for comfort.

These are literally the best sandals I have ever gotten! It's hard to wear them for a while they sorta hurt your feet until they are broken in! I wore these all summer! From working at camps, walking, and hiking! I loved them so much I'm ordering another pair for my trip to Europe! I got them in a size bigger than I usually wear, to have a little more room in them! I'm a huge flip flop person and these have replaced them for life!

This sandal is absolutely amazing! Shipping was fast (and free) and I couldn't be happier! The shoe itself has great arch support, and the color (jade) is even more beautiful in person. You won't regret buying this sandal!

Fits exactly like a glove. Hugs your feet. I wear a medium. Excellent arch support. I would go half size up. But the sizes don't offer that option. It's European sizing.
