Shoes are great and somewhat more dressy than just plain Birk's. The flap on the toes is larger than most flipflops and took some getting used to for looks, but didn't affect the fit.

I work in a busy medical practice and needed something comfortable and stylish to go with summer skirts and pants. This shoe fit the bill, and my feet still feel good at the end of the day. The toe/thong part was a little uncomfortable the first few times I wore them, but I no longer notice it. This is a great shoe!

These sandals are my first Birkenstocks, and they are very comfortable. The strap across the instep keeps the sandal on firmly, so my toes are more relaxed than they are in flip-flop type shoes. Also, they manage to look rather sexy; unusual in the Birkenstock line-up, I think! The sole is very firm, so I don't know how well these will work out for long hours of walking. Zappos' service is excellent.

These shoes are so comfortable! They are really cute with jeans, too. I love them and would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I agree with other reviewers that the toe thong takes some breaking in. I had to wear these only a bit each day for about a week. However, the patience is worth it! These sandals are incredibly comfortable and supportive. I also find them stylish enough to wear to work (I\'m a college professor) with a skirt. This was a great purchase!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this shoe! I was going to get the leather version of this sandal, thinking it might be more comfortable, but a friend convinced me that the Birko-Flor version is great and she\'s right. They\'re also more affordable than the leather version. They\'re the most comfortable shoe I own (I can wear them all day and my feet feel great) and the golden-brown color is so versatile that it coordinates with almost everything. I get compliments on them all the time.

These shoes are great! As others have stated, there is a brief break in period, but once that is over you will love these sandals. I wear them with pants and skirts, and yes, I wear them to work. I have a wide foot and I also have tendon problems; I can walk miles with no problem and I really love the thong on these, it's super comfortable. One last thing, I usually wear a 10.5 to 11 W - going down one size worked perfectly. I will be buying more Birks!

I have been a Birkenstock fan for many years. They are the most comfortable shoes on the planet. I own about 8 different styles, and wear them winter and summer. I especially like this style (Gizeh). They are a bit fancier than other styles. I'm a teacher, on my feet all day, and I noticed a huge difference in how I felt at the end of the day after I discovered Birkenstocks. If you're buying your first pair, they will seem stiff to you, and not as comfortable as you were expecting, but be patient, Birks need to break in gradually. Wear them for a couple hours each day at first – the reward will be worth it. Zappos is a great place to buy shoes and they always have exactly what I need for my short, wide foot, and the prices are excellent.

The Gizeh Birko-Flor are my favorite shoes this summer. I struggle to wear anything but, and that is tricky being that they are red. I might just have to get another color.

Every time I purchase shoes from Zappos, my expectations are exceeded. The free shipping is great, and they always arrive at my door the day after I purchase them. The customer service representatives are very helpful, if Zappos doesn't have it they will search for the product on other websites for you. I could not ask for a better online shopping experience! On top of the great service, the shoes are excellent.

The patent leather is so attractive - they really don\'t look like Birkenstocks when you\'re wearing them. They look much more expensive than the price. My feet are extremely wide, I have no arch, and my heels always hurt - but these shoes are super comfortable and a great value. I also purchased the Mayari - and the Gizeh look more sophisticated. Both are comfortable though.
