First I have to say that the shipping here is the best!!! I received my order less than 24 hours after I ordered, and the shipping I opted for was free. That was awesome by itself! The sandals fit perfectly. I wear a 8½ to a 9 so I ordered the 39 and they are perfect. These sandals give really great support on your archs. I guess from wearing such awful shoes for so long my archs had begun to fall because the first few days I wore these my feet ached a lot. When I took them off I could feel that my archs no longer hit the floor. I am keeping them and I will continue to wear them to hopefully fix my flat feet.

I ordered the copper brown color. Be aware that while I do like the color, it has a lot of metallic in it. I am debating about returning them and spending the extra money on the oiled brown one.

Love, love, love these sandals. Most Birkenstock shoes look frumpy on me but these are so stylish! And my feet are wide but these fit great.

I usually wear a size 6.5 to 7.0. I ordered a 36 and they fit great. Completely satisfied with my purchase. In fact, I want to order a pair for my mother-in-law's birthday!

I loved the look of these shoes on Zappos. When I received them, at first I was not sure of my order and thought about sending this back. Until I put them on with some jeans. They are adorable on and the comfort is amazing. They are a keeper! Also they do rather well for wide or narrow feet. I have somewhat of a wide foot and they fit amazing.

When I see the name Birkenstock I think comfort, excellent arch support, happy tootsies. The Gizeh sandal is a classic style, I ordered a smaller size based on others' recommendations that it runs a little large, I wear a 38 but ordered a 37 and it was a perfect fit. I loved the shipping upgrade provided by Zappos, I received my order in 3 days. You will not be disappointed with a Birkenstock sandal, they're not a flashy sandal but your feet will thank you, I own 4 different styles and I love them. They're a little stiff when you first wear them but soften quickly and mold to your feet, you won't be disappointed.

This is the perfect sandal when I'm vacationing because they have fantastic arch support, they're very comfortable and great for walking! I get a pair every summer!

Love these sandals. Love them so much, I ordered the black patent leather as well! I am also thinking about the silver. You'll wear these all spring and summer, so it's definitely worth the investment. A couple of things to note: They are about a half a size too big. I am normally a size 8 - which here is a 39. But I am really a 38 in Euro sizes and that stands true for Birks. So, if they feel a bit too big when you get them, I would return them and try the next size down. I thought I could keep the larger pair but found I was tripping all over the place and have decided to give them to my mom. Other than that, these shoes are great!

Great sandal - don't have much to add to the other reviews re. comfort, style, etc. But I will say that I think Zappos has the sizes misstated. I wear a 6.5 and the 37 was far too big for me. The 36 fits much better (and still has room for someone that's closer to a 7, I think). Regarding the colors - I ordered the Tobacco oiled leather first, and while it is neutral and would go with anything, I also found it incredibly...blah. Boring, and almost baby-poop-colored. Sorry, but that's what came to mind. When I sized down, I ordered the Habana oiled leather instead, and think it's much more attractive. It's a rich dark brown (not black, as the Zappos picture makes it appear) that's also a great neutral.

I bought these in hopes of a comfortable sandal for an 8-day trip to Barbados. I was worried when they were already hurting me on the plane, but after a day or two of breaking them in, I was completely hooked. I've been back from the trip for almost a month now and can't stop wearing them, even just around the house. Great support and so comfortable. I don't love the style, but they're growing on my for sure.

These are my favorite sandal! I bought them for my birthday a little less than a month ago and haven't taken them off. I originally went for Birkenstock because of the arch support and they are just what I needed! I was iffy on the look because usually I buy Old Navy sandals and the strap ends lower on the foot. But once I put them on I loved the style. I have them in Antique Lace and the color is a nice switch from a bright white. The color is pretty accurate in the image. I would definitely recommend this color because it goes with everything! I hope to buy it in other colors just to switch it up once in a while, but this is my favorite! I'm usually between a 7 and an 8 for size and the 37 fits perfectly. I had tried the 38 but there was too much room. Overall, I love these shoes and can't wait to wear them with every outfit this summer!

I love these! I'm not sure if anyone else thinks they're cute, but I adore them. The bed of the shoe is amazingly comfy and conformed to my foot in a few wears. However, the only problem I had was when I was breaking them in, they rubbed between my big toe and the other toe to the point where it was bleeding and an open wound. Not a fun time, but once that healed, I have had no problems (probably formed a callous). Can't wait till it's Summer so I can rock these daily!

I own 3 pairs of Birks but alas, none that are "thongs". Was so excited to get these but will have to return them. Birks are very stiff in the sole when you first get them and I know they will rub between my toes. The color is so great though... very sad.

I was worried this thong type of Birk would not be as comfortable as the others I own. However, I have been wearing them a few weeks and they are fabulous!

These are for my 14 year old daughter -- they are her 3rd pair of Birkenstocks! She loves them -- great colors, super comfortable, and they still look so good after a year of wearing them, that I can pass them on to her 1 year younger sister. So much better for your feet than those awful flat rubber flip flips!

This sandal is the most comfortable one I have ever had. I am used to having sandals go in between my toes, so am used to that part. Other people it may take awhile to get used to. This color will go with anything! It is not stark white, more of a champagne color, so not the first thing someone sees when you walk up. The service was also fabulous. Thank you!

Love these. Got the white patent by mistake but fell in love and have worn them since they arrived. Very comfortable, not heavy. Went down a size and they were perfect.

Love these. Was worried that the thong would be uncomfortable, but it is not. A very dark blue color; even works with black. These are not quite as "clunky" as a Birkenstock is normally.

I was so excited about my shoes and they came in the mail today. I wear a 7.5 so I got the 38 and they were too big so I just ordered the 37 and hope they fit.

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for 30 years, and the 40 is not a size 9. I've always worn a 39. Love them, though!

I love these shoes. They are super comfortable and I can wear them all day long. Not surprising though seeing as they are Birkenstocks.

I am very happy with my new sandals. They are exactly as described. The Gizeh is well made and the thong style is great. I am a true size 8 and following the suggestion's of other reviewers ordered one size down (38). They fit perfect. I will be ordering again from Zappos for sure!

They're amazing. They're really cute and extremely comfortable. My mom is huge on arch support and as soon as mine came in, she tried them on and said she has to get a pair of her own now. I wear anywhere between a 7 and an 8 1/2, but most of my shoes are a 7 1/2 and I got the 38 and they fit perfect. I got them in golden brown and they're more of a dark gold metallic. Not extremely gold, but more gold than brown. Also, shipping was pretty quick, or at least in my book. I ordered on Friday late afternoon and they arrived Wednesday afternoon.
