The Euro to US sizing on this shoe is WAY off on Zappos. Birkenstock stamps the US sizes into the insole of the shoe--they put size 40 as US 11--Zappos puts it as 9-9.5. I sent back two sizes before going to a real shoe store to try them on to find the correct size. I ended up buying them there instead of on Zappos because of this.

Fabulous!! so comfortable and versatile. I wore these all around Europe and my feet never hurt. In the beginning I got one blister around the strap area but it never happened again and the leather has now contoured my foot. Great shoe!

Second pair of these. Love the silver. A go-to, goes with everything, summer sandal for me. Also have them in white.

Somehow you feel healthier wearing these! Extremely comfortable, like a firm grip on your foot, with a feeling of stability. In order for the toe thing to not be uncomfortable, you have to tighten the strap so the mid foot is the focus of the weight bearing as you walk.

I love these shoes. I had to get over the "crunchy" factor and I'm glad I did. The toe divider did not cause any issues. I have fairly flat feet so it did take two weeks to "break in" the arch. Super comfortable and supportive. I have a stress fracture on one foot and an achilles issues on the other side. These are wonderful and look cute with jeans and skirts. I already want another color.

I have never come across a shoe that has mastered both comfort and style like the Gizeh. I m a 17 year old with plantar fasciitis as well as ingrown toenails, as it runs in the family, so finding affordable and attractive footwear that is also good for my feet has always been a challenge, but since my Gizehs arrived a month ago, I ve found my match and haven t gone a day without them! They are true to size, I usually am an 8 and a half, so I got the 39s and they've been perfect! The arch support is also the best I ve found- Birkenstock is perfect for feet like mine, allowing me to end each day completely free of foot/toe pain. Another positive aspect of the Gizeh that seems to be a rare thing with comfortable shoes is how attractive and stylish they are. I got them in the dark blue Birko-Flor style, and they are true to the online picture, and even shimmer a little in the sunlight. I have found that they can be dressed up or down and add a classic yet stylish look to any outfit. I must warn though that in the first couple days of wearing them, they feel slightly clunky and the plastic in-between toe part is a bit irritating, but have patience, it only takes a couple days before they are broken in and start to take the form of your foot. I highly recommend these shoes, they are through the roof in comfort, stylish class, and quality. Go for it!

This is the second pair of Birkenstocks I've owned. The first were happily worn-in until an unfortunate incident at a beach (that we can no longer speak of). Needless to say, it was sad. (Lesson learned, don't wear your favorite pricey sandals to the beach!) They look great with everything. They're comfortable. I had to return my original pair (I'm an 8.5 and bought accordingly) as my toes were hanging over the edge.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and definitely will not be my last. I haven't stopped wearing these since I got them. Other reviews said to order a size down. I stuck with my regular size (size 8 womens) and was a little concerned at first that I should have ordered down a size. However after wearing them and getting them broken in, they fit perfect. I have no issues with the plastic toe piece that others have said is uncomfortable. I love the total support these sandals provide. I can wear them all day and not have any foot, leg or back aches. I do a lot of walking and have no problems keeping them on my feet. I love that they are dressy enough to wear to work with out looking to much like a flip flop. I can't wait to get more Birks!

These are awesome Birkenstocks! I have had numerous pairs of Birkenstocks and have not been disappointed with any style. These are just perfect. They are as comfortable as sneakers and are just girly enough to not lose style. I definitely recommend them.

I love love love these sandals. That being said they were extremely uncomfortable for the first coupe of days and I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle the toe piece. However after a few days they broke in, the toe piece doesn't bother me at all, they are the most comfortable sandals I own and I have barely taken them off! The Antique Lace is beautiful. As other reviewers have noted they run big- I am generally a 7-7.5 in most shoes and went with the 37 (6-6.5) and they fit perfectly.

I'm a shoe snob. I never thought I would ever buy a pair of Birkenstocks. I saw these and thought they looked stylish enough so I gave them a try. I adore them. Style AND comfort is actually possible! Never say never!

These are amazingly comfortable after they are worn a few times. At first, my feet were dying because the soles are so hard, but it was worth it to wear them in a little. I would go for a more neutral color because you will want to wear this with everything. I purchased this in a purple metallic color. Love them, but I wish I had these in a brown, white, or black instead so I can wear them all the time with anything.

I love these shoes! I wear a 7 in most sandals and ordered a 38 in these. They arrived quickly, but were too big, so I exchanged them for a 37 and they fit perfectly. Super comfortable and supportive, and just enough sheen to the top leather to make them dressy enough to wear basically every day.

I'm a person who has difficulty with finding shoes that fit. I have narrow feet and these shoes are a perfect fit. I plan to purchase another pair of Birkenstocks.

I am so delighted that these butt ugly shoes are fashionable at the moment. These give my feet a chance to recover from super flat flats and super high high heels. Comfort wise, these are a mere whisper away from orthopedic sneakers with Velcro straps. Style wise, well, kind of the same comparison but some painted toenails can do wonders. These fit just as my Boston Birks did back in college when I was going through my grunge/hippie phase. The classics never change. I normally wear a size 6/36 and have a slightly narrow foot with an average arch. I chose to go with 36 regular. These have been my go-to flip flops since I bought them 4 weeks ago. Out of the box, they were almost too small (37 regular and narrow were huge, so 36 had to work). As I was expecting, they stretched a bit but that has worked out in my favor. Get these shoes, as well as some fun nail polish. Your feet will love you.

Been a long time since i last wore Birkenstock's. Glad I got these. Have a bad neuroma and plantar fasciitis and these provide the support I need to ease the pain. They look good too!

Purchased the silver Gizeh and love this shoe!! I needed arch support and it delivers for sure. Toe post hurt on one foot for a couple days but now all is good. I wear size 9 and 39EU fit well. Highly recommend this shoe. I'll be looking for a Birkenstock style to wear in winter.

I wore the shoes around the house for a couple weeks before venturing outside. I wear flip flops a lot which have no arch support so my feet needed an adjustment period. I'm happy so say that I was able to wear these while in DC. There was a lot of walking involved and my feet were comfortable the entire time.

I love these sandals. I now own three pairs. They look good with shorts, skirts, dresses and pants...I have a hard time wearing any other sandal. I own the bronze, blue and orange...love them.

I bought the "slim" option of this sandal, which makes the sandal more stylish and less clunky, even though my foot is a normal width and perhaps a tad wide. Be aware that these sandals run very large. I usually wear a 39 in European sizes (8-8 1/2 in US sizes), but the 39 was so large I had to return it for a 38 (7 1/2). Zappos makes it so easy to return items in exchange for a different size. The 38 "slim" fit perfectly! These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. They give fantastic support! I can and do wear them all day long.

These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned! They're super cute and go with most of my wardrobe. They have a slight green/ silver sheen to them so they're a "funky neutral" if you may. They never hurt my feet, there is no "break in" period with these shoes. Just like fine wine, they seem to get better as they age. They mold to my feet the more I wear them. Wonderful!

I love the look of these sandals, casual yet classy. When I first got them out of the box they were very hard and uncomfortable. I was in disbelief after seeing 800+ reviews with five out of five stars that these were the same shoes. After wearing them around the house for several weeks I finally wore them outside. I guess my shoes are starting to mold it to the shapes of my feet because they don't hurt anymore. I've grown to like these shoes enough that I recently ordered another pair.

This is the second pair of these Birkenstock that I have had. The first pair I bought 3 years ago in Italy and they still aren't worn out and I wear them frequently. They are very comfortable. I have them in black and brown.

I love these shoes! I get lots of compliments on them (I think the silver color is key to the looking fashionable) and I'd like to think they're good for my feet. They did take some breaking in but it was worth it.

These are so comfortable. I wore these walking around all week in a theme park and they were perfect. No blisters or anything. I want them in every color! It poured down rain one day when I wore these and they held up great. They stayed comfortable, did not get heavy, and dried just fine. I would recommend them to anyone. They fit true to size.
