Wasn't expecting the pebbled grain, but like the shoe.

I bought a pair of cordovans about 4 months ago. I like them so much, I bought two more pairs this evening. Super supportive and stable for walking. I'd be glad to pay more for the upgrade in the leather, but you can't beat them for the price. For me, they work for everything from business casual to casual wear. Overall, an excellent value and very comfortable shoe. I'm done buying shoes until I wear these out, which could be some time.

I wear these shoes for work mainly. They have worked out great unless you need to stand in them for 10 hours at a time. But for a normal day of work at my desk and walking around they've been great.

Great shoes. Couldn't find them in the stores but I found online so I'm happy.

When my father died five years ago he left five pairs of Florsheim Wingtips in his closet - two are the special sharkskin models. He sold them at a store in Wichita, KS for 30 years, and he wore Florsheims every day. Sadly, he was a size and a half smaller than I, but he talked me into a pair when I graduated college and started teaching. Twenty-six years of teaching and three pairs of my own, and I'm still wearing them. Unfortunately, there are no local stores which sell the leather-soled wingtip models like the Kenmoor. Thank Heaven we can still order them! These have always been, and , I hope, will continue to be a quality, well-wearing, and stylish dress shoe for men.

I have had these for less than a year and wear them in a rotation. These shoes are comfortable and are great for wide feet. Upper leather broke-in very well. My only complaint is that the front of the soles are wearing quickly with one sole slightly misaligned. They also lack the slightly curved-in shaping on the outer part of the sole, mid-foot, that you find on my other classic shoes. Overall, however, I like these shoes and expect them to last once resoled.

This my first long wing, but I am very satisfied with them. They are very good quality. The construction has been rock solid for about 9 months now. They are worn almost everyday for 10 hours or more. I'm on my feet all day and they hold up well with zero discomfort. A cushioned insole would be nice, but for a leather soled shoe they couldn't be better in my experience. The leather quality is good/very good. Not excellent. They shine easily. The cognac color is odd for me. It has taken some getting-used-to. It is actually slightly lighter in person than the web-site image suggests. I've used a pure brown shoe polish on them to darken them a bit, and it gives them less of a "new" look. It also makes it easier to wear them with browns. Although I wear these shoes at work primarily (I'm a surgeon), they could easily be worn with jeans or a suit. I've done both. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I wouldn't consider buying the alternative brand that is twice the expense. I'd rather have two pairs of these.

Some things never change, meaning we know what going to get every time, with Florsheim it's great quality and excellent workmanship. Trendy is not a smart way to spend your money stay with the classic's and you want go wrong.

The shoes are well-made,comfortable,and durable; hard to find a wingtip as nice. I'm just disappointed that right out of the box, you can tell that the leather looks "cheaper" and more plastic-like than they did 10 years ago. I've had 3 pairs and they used to be thicker, better leather. Still nice, but not what I was expecting.

Kenmoor - A very good shoe. I've been impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship. I've owned cheap Florsheims before and they are not even in the same league as the Kenmoor. They are very comfortable. My only concern is the edge of the sockliner. It's been curling up a bit when I remove the shoes. We'll see if this presents a problem down the line.

Not quite sure, yet... I ordered the Carleton and it was a bit stiff at first, but once broken-in it’s super comfortable...SO, I upgraded to the Kenmoor in black and brown. They are very stiff and still breaking in. Also, the right shoe is very uncomfortable in the heel. The heel is higher than the left. I should have returned them, but I wore them and now I have to put some padding in the heel.

Florsheim Kenmoor - Well-constructed, nice looking shoe that requires more breaking-in than any other dress shoe that I've owned. Once broken in, however, they fit nicely. Very little cushioning; the comfort of these shoes lies in the nicely structured/shaped footbed. As others have mentioned, the sole is very slick out of the box.

Stiff, but good looking - You probably don't want to do a lot of walking in these, bring a comfortable pair of shoes along if you're planning to walk, but these shoes look great even after lots of wearing. They're stiff, (and loud, which isn't all bad unless you want to sneak up on people). They shine exceptionally well.

Good Quality Shoes - I have worn Florsheim Imperial Wing Tips for many years & they offer good support & never go out of style. Zappos prompt shipping is second to none.

Old Fashioned Shoe... still a classic! I looked for years to find a brown wing tip and this is the only one I could find. I usually wear Johnston and Murphy or Allen Edmonds. This is a very different, a much stiffer shoe. In fact, my others feel like slippers compared to the Imperial. The shoe is built like steel and is starting to break in. I love the looks of it and it will be worth the work to break in, just bring some band-aids to work the first few times! Doesn't show any crease marks yet at all and I've worn it 6 or 7 times. If you want a brown wing this is the shoe.

Old school - This is a fantastic shoe at a great price. They take a few wearings to break in, but they feel as though they will last forever. This shoe should be a staple in every man's closet.

Florsheim Imperials - This is my second pair. They take a little while to "break in." They are tough shoes, but, they are the best built. My first pair is about ten years old and have been resoled about three times. I expect them to last at least twenty or thirty years. Not bad in this day and age.

The brown ones.

I bought a pair of the burgundy Kenmoor some time ago and I want to love the shoe, but the corrected leather won't let me. I get the cost cutting, but why would a shoe company cut costs on its flagship product? To add insult to injury, they've discontinued the pebble leather offerings, so we're stuck with black and burgundy standard.

When I first bought my Kenmoor's a year ago I was pleased. They fit okay, but with time two things happened. First the leather "gave" in such a way that my foot would move around in the shoe. A size 9D as with every other shoe manufacturer has been a Size 9D. Not bigger. Then about two weeks ago, the leather right behind the "wingtip" started to tear. Yes, tear! Florsheim has amazing customer service since I submitted photos and style number etc. and they gave me a refund in the form of a gift card. However, I keep reading about sizing problems and now the leather faulting (on an expensive shoe). Don't know If I want to invest in an another pair.

The goodyear welt and double leather soles are like putting lipstick on a pig. The uppers are constructed of "natural leather" a term that has no required meaning. What it certain is that "natural leather" is not "full grain" or "top grain" leather. I was hoping that the textured grain surface would mean that a lesser grade of "full grain" or "top grain" leather would be used. Instead, the material used appears to have a top layer of plastic.

I will gladly frequently order these shoes if you add more width sizes. i.e. widths "E" & "EE". Presently you only offer extremes it's either "D" or "EEE". In my case one width is too narrow and the other is too wide. Remedy this situation and you have yourself a new and continuing customer.

I bought the Kenmore II in brown and they are great. Decided to get a pair in black but these are disappointing. First of all the leather looks like plastic. I'm pretty sure it's Corrected Grain Leather which is a real disappointment and should have been disclosed. Not only that the insole underneath itself. That should not have gotten by quality control.
