Size is everything I bought these for my boyfriend, who wears a 15 or 16, depending on the shoe. I ordered (and received) a size 16/medium width. His toes were absolutely jammed into the moc and they were way too wide for him.

Better than expected I looked at slippers for a long time before buying these. I really didn't expect them to meet all my expectations but they seemed to be the highest quality on the market...even compared to some much higher priced slippers. I have had them for 3 months now and they are all I expected them to be plus more. I know where my next pair will come from but it will be a long, long time. :-)

My husband has really wide feet. This was the first pair that was wider than he needed. They are nice slippers. Just too big.

I have a half size foot so based on recommendations I got the next size up. I found the slipper to be too big but I did some creative tightening with the laces to make it work. I just hope that the slippers don’t stretch too much.

Warm toasty moccasins. Sole rubber material looks thin. Weird odor emanating from insulation material, probably as a result of their China manufacturing process. Hope it dissipates in time. Comparable to LL Bean’s Wicked Good Mocs. Remains to be seen which one performs better in the long run. Should last at least 4-5 years at this price. ( and not stink).

I love these moccasins but they don't last. I'm on my second pair now and neither one lasted more than 6 months before the soles fell apart. Now it's completely bald due to the fleece wearing off. Still, I haven't found a brand that lasts any longer and these are the most comfortable brand I've purchased so far so I'm sure I'll purchase pair #3 soon. FYI, I'm a 10.5" and the 11" fit perfectly.

I got these for my husband for Christmas, but ended up giving them to him early. He says they are warm and comfortable. His only complaint is that the laces are flimsy. Should they break there is no way to fix or replace them without ripping out the suede that encloses them. Let's hope that they do not break.

I like these shoes. I have an extra wide foot, so although I am female, I ordered the men's size shoe in wide. I usually wear a 9.5 ww so I ordered a size 8W. It fits good, but I wish that I had ordered an extra wide just to have extra room in the toe. It does have some arch support which I need. I have room to put another thin arch support under the insole. They are very warm -- sometimes a little too warm, though. Overall, they are comfortable shoes.

I'm actually giving these loafers 4 1/2 stars. To get 5 stars they'd have to make me levitate. However, these "Old Friends" are very comfortable, the fit gets better the more you wear them and they look great. My feet are now winterized!

Guys, after looking all around for moccasins that I've been buying for $9.99--from either Walmart or Kmart for the past year--and being unable to do so because they're a seasonal item, around here anyway. From oct. to Dec., you will not find one these "slipper" moccasins anywhere. I wear them for medical reasons.I was glad to spend the $50.00 because of the comfort factor. In my humble opinion "it's not possible to improve on it's looks", they will always look like "something someone put on, when He slipped out of the Hospital" or old folks home. But anyhow the positive outweigh the negative 100 to 1, in my case anyway.

A slipper in a real shoe sole! They're comfortable and good for taking out the trash, getting the newspaper or a quick trip to the store.

Loafer Moc slipper - I purchased these slippers as a gift. They are actually one size smaller than what we needed but Men's 17 wasn't available, so I ordered the 16 wide which seems to have worked. My son is thrilled with his new slippers.

Should last longer - Nice slipper, but stitching along bottom gave out long before the rest of the shoe.

These used to fit great for my husband, so when they went on sale I bought more, but they’ve changed them. The wide width is more like a medium and he can’t wear them. Very disappointing.

Nice style slipper but these were too narrow and small even thought they were a size XX Wide. I ordered the same shoe size 11 but might have been better ordering the 12??

not substantial enough. product was not as well made as I had hoped. The structure was a bit flimsy...it was hard to tell which was the left vs. right. both seemed to be made with the same pattern. Had to return these and search for a better made shoe.

They look and feel good but for some reason, if I wear them all day, they will work my sock off into the toe of the loafer. Not a big problem, but annoying.

This shoe is not a good fit. Your service is excellent, though!

Hard heel! I love the look of the Old Friend's loafer moc, I love the solid construction and the sole provides a solid foundation. However...I reluctantly returned the slippers because the heel is quite hard and comes through the padding underneath my heel. It is not very comfortable.

A little small - Very soft and well made slipper than seems to run a full size small. Not good for a slipper?

Comfortable and fixed my foot pain BUT terrible quality. After only a few months (November to January), the wool inside was wearing off and the underlying sheepskin smelled *awful* -- a sharp nasty chemical smell that permeated my closet and then my house. Within another month (February) the sheepskin was gone from under the main ball and I was walking on the white plastic innards. Had to buy another pair of slippers, and didn't waste my money on this manufacturer again. The outers are in fine shape but the insole is a disaster. In all, Old Friend failed to last even 1 winter season!

Bought these for my husband to replace his ugg slippers. We were super excited about them at first but one month into wearing them the seam along the sole came undone................

I bought these "house slippers" in November 2009. I loved them, but of course they are too warm for the summer months. The winter of 2010, the shoes also gave me good service, although the sole, where it attaches to the upper showed some signs of cracking. This year, when I first started wearing them, the soles started crumbling and falling off. The material used for the sole is deteriorating and the uppers are coming loose from the sole. I contacted Zappos via their on-line chat, and the company said that 4 to 8 months wear is considered to be "good service" for a shoe and that I should be satisfied. My complaint is that the materials Old Friend uses is not of the quality that one would expect for a pair of house shoes at this price. My wife has suggested taking them to a shoe repair shop and seeing if they can put a leather sole on them. I have not worn them very much, and the uppers are still in beautiful shape. If you buy this shoe, do not expect to get years of service from it.
