You'll need to order a size down. Not very comfortable at all. Certainly stylish, however.

These definitly run a bit large, I suggest ordering a half size down. The shoes are moderately comfortable, but not something I would wear to walk in for a long time.

Oddly shaped shoe. Very long and narrow. Wish it came in different widths.

Have the low version and the hightop. Been wearing them for years. Now trendy and fun...at any age. Not for anyone with foot or back issues or for long periods of walking as there is zero support. Generally wear 7 1/2. The 7 fits in length with room for a sock. A bit wide for my rather narrow foot but can tighten.

Really cute, but just way too narrow. I bought them for lifting since they're nice and flat. I have medium-width feet, and bought the medium-width Core Ox Chucks. But after an hour or two of wearing them, my pinky toes start to go numb! :(

As much as I love these shoes, they're just not built to last. For the cost of shoes, they should last at least six months. I ordered a pair of these for my 12-year-old son and he's had them for just three months and they're already pretty beat up and starting to fall apart, the worst part being the lining on the inside is just tearing apart. He loves these shoes, though (he comes by it naturally, as I've worn them myself for over 35 years), so I am going to order him the '70 ox next in hopes that they are more durable. I'm hoping the extra money does the trick.

I ordered white and sized down as instructed, yet these still were too big. I am a size 10, yet a size 9 would have fit better than size 9½, however, I chose this style in White and also Converse Dainty Ox, between the two styles, Converse Dainty Ox fits so much better and seems padded in the footbed. This shoe has no padding and made my feet look huge! This shoe is not for me, I prefer Converse Dainty Ox, I also like the 5 ring lace up on the Dainty Ox not this 6 or 7 ring, it did not help my foot length at all and the lack of padding on soles of feet was a major turn off.

A bit too bulky and ran a size bigger. Perhaps better fit for men vs. women. Was not pleased and exchanged for another style.

I love Converse, but the color on the white was way off. It was almost a soft yellow. I'm returning them immediately. They don't look anything like the white converse in the picture.

I generally wear a 6½ in open toed shoes and a 7 in closed toed. Based on the reviews I ordered half a size down from my usual 7 and the shoes were still too big. Aside from that they are very stiff, clunky and uncomfortable and the lack of arch support made them extra miserable. Also, even in a small size they looked like huge clown shoes on my feet. I always like Chucky-tees on other people, but they just do not work for me style-wise or comfort-wise. I had to return them.

The shoes are lovely but I'm a size 9 in women's; however, that size 7 men's is still too big. I'll have to return them and get a whole shoe size smaller to get a better fit.

I haven't owned a pair of these in years since they were no longer Made in the USA, but I caved and bought a pair anyway. Boy was I disappointed when I received them. The quality and construction have really declined. The rubber is flimsy, the canvas thinner than ever, and they couldn't even put a decent pair of laces in them. The laces are SUPER cheap polyester that snag on my fingernails, on grass, on concrete. YUCK.For the price, I expect better. The fit is fine, a teeny narrower than I remember Chucks being, and what happened to the signature red stripe? I'm not a fan of the all black pinstripes. I guess I"ll wear these til they're dead (which won't be long, less than a month and the rubber is already cracked), but I doubt I'll be buying them again. Too bad. They used to be such an affordable quality shoe.

I compared them to my older Chucks (maybe 3-4 years old), and they fit very different. The new ones are longer and shaped slightly more oblong in the toe as well. I'll be keeping them, but why mess with a classic!?

Normally. I really love these shoes! But these specific ones, I'm sending back, twice. I received two different pairs. Both are not charcoal. They are olive green.

After hearing a few of my friends tell me how comfortable these shoes are I got me a pair. Let me tell you, these are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I've worn in a long time. No support at all, just a flat footbed. As for looks I would give a 5 out of 5. I've only had them for a week but seem not to be breaking in.

First off Zappos shipping is amazing. It's like a magic trick how fast their shoes arrive. I bought these shoes for my daughter and within a week one of the round silver circles where the shoelace comes through (grommet) came off. Has anyone else had this problem? Seems like with the price the quality should be a little better.

I can wear a size 5, 5.5 or 6 so I ordered these in a 5 because it said to order a size down. They are too small, so I would say order half a size down. Just my opinion.

These Converse are for my daughter because the other kids wear them. They are a very cheap made shoe. The insole usually falls out after about a week and the inside heel eventually falls out very quickly too. I think the look is cute, but they are made terrible.

I bought these as a summer shoe to wear with shorts because I saw them in an ad and thought they looked nice. I was pleased with the look of them. I found they are fine for short periods, but not good for long walking trips. I tried wearing them to the fair one day and my heels were killing me by the end of the day. I also found the soles of my feet hurt and were uncomfortable because they were so flat and had no arch or cushion. Like I said, I thought they look good, but kind of think we should have left them where they came from, in the 1950's.

Way too big. I'm an exact women's 8.5. I think it at least 1 full size too big. Otherwise shoe looked as expected.

Uncomfortable tight fit at toes and loose sloppy fit at laces. Tried shoe with socks and without socks and feet hurt either way. Like the style but cannot recommend this shoe.

Nowhere near the heavy duty construction of the original 'Chucks' from years ago. Go with the 'John Varvatos' line. They're better, still nowhere near the originals.

Shoe is pretty narrow and long. They're pretty standard sneaker quality, the rubber breaks a little as they get older. They look like Converse.

Length was OK, width across toes was OK, but these were too loose/wide in the heel for me (woman) and slipped too much. Shoelace length was pretty skimpy, but of course that's pretty simple to fix.

These seem a full size, possibly more(!) too large. I've always owned at least one pair of Chuck Taylors at a time, haven't had such a huge sizing discrepancy before.
