Not quite as durable as the originals. The canvas wears much quicker. These are easily one full size larger than listed. I normally wear a 10.5 and can properly fit in a 9.5.

These shoes are oh so cute but it is like walking on cardboard. The foot bed is uncomfortable.

get a 1/2 size smaller them you would normally. awesome classic shoe.

Zappos was very helpful. Product sent to my old address and zappos sent another to correct address immediately. Sneaker was too large and it took a long time fir a credit to be issued. Zappos gave me a $25 off coupon on my next purchase because of delay. Next order, half size smaller, was fine.

I purchased the Chuck Taylors because they are a page out of yesterday & because they fit. I like most everything about them, but they are quite heavy.

I always wear a 10.5 and this shoe is so large I am returning it for a 9.5 mens. It was borderline clown shoe large on me. Everything else was as expected.

My 18 year old son wears these shoes and he has a couple of colors. I love them but they do not have enough to support for my 50 year old feet.

I had these shoes when I was a teenager. Bought these for my 12 year old. I'm someone in grew up with the message that good shoes are very important, so I look for quality and support. They don't have great arch support, but you can add that if you like. The base structure is strong enough for me to not be concerned. Love Zappos customer service, absolutely the very best! I hope more companies will learn from them.

So cute! I wear a womans 9 and ordered an 8 1/2 and they were extremely too big. I am ordering a 7 1/2 and hope they fit!

These shoes are great. When I first received them, I ordered a size too big. I forgot Chuck Taylors run 1 size bigger than your normal shoe size, even when it says to order a size smaller than your normal shoe size. I normally wear a men's 12 or 13, depending on the maker, so I ordered a 11, thinking it'll be closer to the size of my foot. When I got them: I had about a good three inches between my big toe and the front of the shoe. Wow, those were some huge paddle boats I had for feet. Returning them was a breeze: all I had to do was print out the return address, box them up and sent them on their way. At the same time, I called to exchange for a size smaller than the 11. I'm wearing the 10.5 right now and I forgot how comfy these were. One thing to note: I sometimes wore my original Chuck Taylors barefoot to break them in. I did that one day and my left achilles heel was completely scraped up from the inside due to the material protruding. Needless to say, I had to put moleskin on the inside and that fixed that problem. Other than wearing socks... Overall: definitely a keeper. I plan on getting another pair, possibly in another color.

Classic looking Converse. I replace a canvas sneaker every couple of years and this is the first time I am trying a Converse. Compared to the Keen's I am replacing, these have a flatter feel to them, but similar amount of cushion with the footbed. These also feel a little longer than the size I normally wear. I contemplated sending them back for that reason, but decided they loose feel didn't cause discomfort.

Seriously, order a half size down from what you normally wear. I think these are comfortable, but they have that classic Chuck no arch support and very little padding thing going on.

I have an 11 narrow foot. I ordered the unisex size 9 men-11 women. These are at least a half size too long. I wore them once with a thin sock. If I hadn't already worn them, I would send back and get a half size down. I think I would love them had I gotten the right length.

These are in every sense the old school shoes I wore when they were "THE SHOE" for hoops in the late 60's/early 70's. I have a very wide foot and still fit me very nicely. So even if you are an E or EE this model is a good one. Not great with the high arch but still pretty comfortable for general use; obviously no longer the choice for active sports.

Shoes arrived on time. They always fit my daughter smaller than other shoes, but we now know how to order. Look great. Very "teenagerie"!

I purchased two different sizes of this same shoe (the first pair was too big). When the second pair arrived I noticed some big differences and realized they were made in different countries, in different factories. The 9 1/2 was made in Vietnam, and the white sole, toe cap and laces were more of a creamy eggshell white. The size 9 was made in Indonesia and all the white areas were bright white. Also, the size 9 Vietnam shoe sides were not as large, so the lace areas didn't come together as closely - so the laces appeared too short even though they were the same length as the size 9 1/2 laces. They had to go farther between the holes than the Vietnam pair because the sides weren't as close together. And the Indonesia pair were slightly less well-made than the Vietnam pair. I also had to order a half-size down from my usual. I feel like Converse has really inconsistent sizing across all their different shoes. A 9 in one is the same as 9 1/2 in another type. Overall, order several sizes to make sure you get exactly what you want because the color and size may vary greatly.

I purchased my first pair of Chucks in the 1990s, and I needed a new pair. My old pair had holes, and the rubber was rotting. This new pair is as grunge-chic and comfortable as I remember - flexible rubber sole and canvas upper are very comfortable. The sizing is consistent with those old 90s shoes - now, as then, I needed a half-size downward adjustment. I gave it a one-star ding, though, because I wish these were still manufactured in the USA.

The quality of the shoes were fairly good and Zappos shipped them in an efficient and effective manor, just as they promised.

Ordering a half size smaller was great advice. These fit perfect. I like the charcoal color, they look nice. Relatively comfortable sneaker. Perfect for here in Florida with the hot weather. My wife thinks they are ugly...but to me they are great!

I don't know if these are the new generation but there is slight arch support in them. Also, the toe box is slightly narrower than the high tops I have. They're still Chucks though.

A lot of people seem to be wearing these for a retro look, but I'm an old guy who's worn them since the 60s. They are comfortable and inexpensive compared with the likes of Nike. I had to go up half a size because the correct length made my feet go numb. They were too narrow for my fat feet. Pounding the pavement eventually flattens the padding, but by then you'll need a new pair. Only reason I don't rate them 5 for comfort is that I also have Clark's Wallabys, which are my standard for the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.
