I normally wear a size 7 and ordered the man's size 5 (they are only sized for men), which was apparently equal to the woman's size 7. When I received them (next day of course!), and tried them on I knew I needed to get the next half size down (man's size 4 1/2) which I did and they are perfect. It's still roomy enough but are absolutely perfect to wear with or without socks. I love them. The color is great and they are a great all time comfy, hip, and timeless classic! By the way, I have a somewhat narrow foot and they are streamlined and elegant in cut.

Converse All Star High tops have been a tradition in our family. I wore canvas colored, my husband white, my oldest son red and my youngest now wears blue. We think it is great that my oldest son\'s girl friend arrived in teal high tops.

These pink Chuck Taylors are the underwear of footwear -- you just have to have them and wear them on a regular basis. They are comfortable, high fashion, and they have a way of changing your look no matter what else you are wearing. Truly indispensable.

This is the second time I have used Zappos to get shoes for my daughter\'s hiphop recital. The service is top notch and prices are very low. Last year I had to return a pair because we needed a different size. Because the time frame was tight, Zappos sent the new ones out without waiting to receive the returned pair. Great service and selection.

I ordered these with another pair of converse and they are great. Your basic Chuck's but all black, so I can get away with wearing them to work. The only minor thing to note is the insoles are not removable (this is only an issue with me as I replace all insoles with Superfeet). What makes this a great transaction is Zappos excellent customer service. I will be a customer for life.

I'm totally happy with these sneakers. They're classic, timeless style and they fit quite well. Not for running but styling and a fair amount of walking. Quite pleased.

These are the Chuckies I know and love. I normally wear a size 7 (7.5 in pumps and sandals). I also tried a 7.5 and a 6.5 in this shoe, but the 7 was the best fit for me. My suggestion is, order your normal size, and also a half-size down.

This was purely a nostalgic purchase. I hadn't worn this type of shoe since I was a kid. They are just as comfortable and practical as they were back then. I gave it five stars since it meets all its intended functions. This is simply a decent, quality, comfortable, no-frills, kick-around-and-do-something-casual shoe. I'm glad I bought them. In addition, kudos to Zappos for handling this order quickly and accurately. They definitely have their stuff together.

I ordered these sneakers for my boyfriend and received exactly what I expected. They fit him perfectly and he says that they are so comfortable. I own 2 pairs of Converse myself, which are so comfortable as well. The color is really nice and goes so well with jeans. Zappos.com is hands down my favorite website to buy things from. The Monochrome Black Chuck Taylor's can be summarized in one word, legit. I use these as my training shoes when I do boxing (which involves a lot of running, too). The only thing you gotta make sure of is the size (which I did at a retail store). I usually wear 11/11.5 (depending on the brand) but for these I had to get 9.5 for a snug fit.

These definitely run larger than anticipated though, I bought them half a size smaller than usual and they were still too big. I'm returning them for the next size down. They're still great looking, classy shoes!

I also have these in black, and the red ones are a little narrower on the toe part. Just pinches my toes a little but not so that it hurts. Other than that, I love them. I'll buy more pairs when I can!

These shoes are simple and comfortable and lack the bulk of most other shoes. Never again will my pants get caught between the inner heel of my shoe and my achilles tendon. I couldn't be happier. P.S. I tried these shoes on in a local store before I ordered them from Zappos and found I needed to order a full size smaller than what I normally wear.

Converse run large, so order at least a half size smaller than you usually wear.

I've ordered from Zappos in the past, and recently with my new order, I had to wonder why it's been so long that I've placed an order with them. When I did place my recent order, it was fast and easy. I was surprised to get the order the next day via Fedex. The customer service was incredible, and so were the converse sneakers that I ordered. They do run a half of a size too big, but I knew this from the other converse sneakers that I've ordered in the past. The new converse fit perfectly, and I've been wearing them for over a month now. In the future when I'm looking to buy sneakers/shoes online, Zappos will be my first place to shop. Thanks Zappos for your large selections of items, and the great customer service.

I purchased Red Converse Hi Tops for my granddaughter to use for her Hip Hop competition dance class. She LOVES them. We had to return the first pair because they were too small. The conversion chart for Converse is a big help.

You probably already know if you like chucks. If you do, I think the all-black is a good option. They're a little more grown-up and sophisticated, and go with everything you might wear with jeans, from a t-shirt to a blazer. They run at least one full size larger than marked, although they are a little narrow.
