the right shoe felt a bit bigger then the left

Like others before me have stated, however not so eloquently as I am about to: one does not go in for a pair of classic Chuck Taylor hi-tops looking for comfort and support. You go in for them to bring back memories of your childhood, your adolescence, and, eventually, your young adulthood. I've owned countless pairs, in many colors (and at least one camouflage print!), worn the heck out of them, asked my mom to put them in the wash for me, had my friends sign their names on them, gotten blisters from wearing them without socks. Now, here I am, at nearly 60 years old, with my latest pair, a rather sedate navy blue, but they still look killer with the right pair if khakis, jeans or shorts. They seem to be more well-built than my last two pair (also manufactured in far-flung countries) yet still they offer very little comfort, virtually no support but massive style and timeless appeal. I can hardly wait until my first blister appears.

Buy these for my teenage daughter every year for school. She loves them. Not much support but cool.

Classics however at least in my experience you do not buy these shoes for hours and hours of walking and expect comfort. They are nice and a timeless stylish shoe but not the most comfortable shoe.

My husband has a flat foot and is a powerlifter. These are perfect for him.

Since I have been customizing these shoes, Converse Chuck Taylors, for over a decade for Punk Your Chucks dotcom, I can pretty much say that I am an authority in them. Yes, Converse run bigger than the size, by half to a full size! Know this as a fact. No, Original Converse Chucks have no arch support. Chuck Taylor 2 does. YES, they are well made and the bottom of the sole will be the first thing that fails, like the tread on a tire, which is NORMAL! I hope this helps...

Love my pink Chucks! Why should men be afraid of pink? These are actually *really* cool and I've had nothing but positive response to them. In terms of comfort, they're great, a little narrower than they should be perhaps. Don't tighten the shoelaces too much at the bottom or you'll end up with squished toes. Remember, it's a relaxed shoe for a relaxed look. Also, keep in mind there is NO arch support in these, so if it's an issue for you, be sure to get some appropriate insoles. Overall, these are terrific!

Good ol' classic Chuck Taylors. I bought these for my husband and he's very happy with them. They do run large, so you may have to size down half a size or perhaps a whole size. Other than that, you really can't go wrong with Chucks. They are timeless.

Bought these shoes and the day I got them, I walked about four to five miles in them. They fit perfectly and they where so light, it felt like I wasn't wearing shoes at all. I'm always on my feet and at first, my legs ached due to the no arch support but I got used to them quick. Such a great fit that the tenth Doctor would be proud!

I have been wearing these shoes since I was a teen (I am now in my mid 30's) and they are the best shoes going! I know my size and ordering off Zappos is just super easy.

You cannot go wrong with a classic! Chuck Taylors have been around in pretty much the same form for years now. I bought mine for weight training. My gym will not let me work out barefoot and I am no fan of the various toe shoes on the market, so zero heel drop Chuck Taylors are about as close to barefoot as I can get. And the style is a classic as well. Who does not love some clean Chucks?

It was exactly what I expected. Classic look, classic style and old school appeal. The only drawback is that the comfort level is also old school. Coolness=8.75/10.

I started using these for non-running workouts (olympic lifting, rowing, etc.), and they're great! I tore out the insoles and dropped some superfeet orange insoles in. They're lightweight and super flat.

These shoes are awesome! They are wide, comfortable, and very stylish. They do run about 1/2 size larger.

I love these shoes! I needed a pair for a black and white party, and these were perfect. Good construction with a vintage look.
