The sole is very thin so you really feel everything you walk on. The canvas uppers are a bit of a pain to get into. Look nice but sorry I got them - would have returned them except that I took a walk in them before learning how thin the sole is.

I\'ve been wearing these shoes for less than 4 months and already I\'ve worn the heel down to the point where canvas is exposed at the bottom of my shoes. I only wear them for going traveling to and from work so I put less than 5 miles\/week of wear on these things. It was wet out yesterday and water soaked through the exposed canvas and my heels got wet. This was my first pair of Chuck Taylors and needless to say they will also be my last pair.

The material has changed and is no longer plain canvas. I am devastated as these were my favorite shoes. The new, thick, synthetic material is unwearable.

It’s been 8 days and they haven’t even shipped. So far not impressed!

I was shipped used, dirty, and smelly converse shoes. When I called to get actual new shoes that I paid for, they were sold out and now I can't find them for my daughter's Christmas gift. I have never had this happen to me.

I ordered a mens 7 womans 9 but received a mens 5 womans 7. Tried to exchange but out of stock.

Zappos sent the wrong order. My confirmation says men’s 10, but I received men’s 8.5.

My shipment says delay in transit.

Sure wish my daughter could have worn these today .. she received a size 9 ... ordered a size 5 ... someone dropped the ball ! Hope they make it right!

No more. My family has been wearing All Stars forever. The 2 pairs I just received are not what has been produced for all the years past. They came with wrinkled, smashed material. There was less canvas than there should be causing the soles to be misshaped. Everything about them was crooked; the canvas was hard. The insoles were hard and lumpy. My kids knew as soon as they opened the box they were not right. In fact, they suspect they are counterfeits. These were clearly the worst shoes I have ever purchased. I cannot believe they passed any type of quality inspection. SO disappointed in Converse and Zappos. Packing them up and back they go.

Horrible material and way too wide

Sole separated from upper after 2 years. I didn't wear them often. Very poor construction and construction design. I still have my originals from 40 yrs ago. Put them away after a hole wore through the canvas. Bought these to replace. Built different now.

My husband wore these since he was a kid in the 50's. Now made in china falling apart after 3 months.

Dissapointed to say the least. I question the legitimacy of these shoes....real fakes. first, the shoes right out of the box squeaked and made crunching noises when i walked....NEVER had that problem before with my Converse! I thought that maybe with the recent buyout from Nike something was tweeked and that was the problem. But then, the "Converse All Star" on the back tab of both shoes began to peel off! They literally peeled right off! No, these were not real. I took them to a Converse store where even they could not believe the tabs were peeling! They guy told me, "Yeah, no,question. We do not cut corners at Converse and our trademark does not peel...." So instead of going through the return process, i "chucked" the shoes in the trash and bought a real pair instead directly from the Converse store...never again, Zappos!

Been wearing this shoe for almost 3 months now. I like the feel, I like the look. However, the quality is very sub par. And what I mean by that, the color has started to fade on the sides of the shoes. I do wear these daily, but, I work at a desk so these shoes should not be showing this much wear. The sides are almost a grayish color. I'm very disappointed and will not be buying another pair any time soon. I would expect Chucks to last much longer then 3 month.

Bought a pair for my 10-year-old daughter. She hasn't even had them a month and one of the metal grommets used to reinforce the eyeholes the shoestring passes through has completely separated from the canvas. I would have expected them from a cheaper shoe with less of a reputation to uphold. Not happy!

I bought these for my 14 year old daughter. She loves them! Size/width are great. Her first pair wore out on the bottom but hopefully these will last longer!

Loved them!! Came next day!
