Converse shoes never go out of style, so you don't have to worry if you'll look totally off to the people who care about the latest shoe fashion update (Toms; Sperry's; UGGs; etc) if you're going back to school. These shoes would go best with an insole of your choice because they don't have much arch support and kind of flop around on your feet while you're walking. I have wide feet due to my mom being part Native American, so I normally have to get a size 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe, while a wide size shoe will fit my foot comfortably at size 7.5. This shoe is known to be slim at the toes, so I got a size nine. There is a two inch space between my toes and the front of the shoe. The only time that would be helpful is if my big toe decided to randomly grow two inches while I was walking around from class to class. I'm not really complaining, but I just thought that lots of people have wide feet, and the way the front of the shoe is shaped, not even a person with skinny toes would be able to fit in there comfortably. Just saying. Despite all the negativity, I love these shoes.

I like how flat and low to the ground these feel. I don't love how big the rubber band around the bottom looks, but that's what you get with these. definitely order a size down! 'm usually a size 12, got these in a 11.5, but probably could've even gone down to 11 as the 11.5 is still slightly big.

These are sharp looking shoes and I enjoy the way they look. Unfortunately they don't provide enough support for my feet, both of which have suffered stress fractures in the past year, so that I experience pain after wearing them a short time. I plan on getting inserts and hope that will help me enjoy them more.

I bought these for my daughter who requested these specifically. Unfortunately, I ordered a size too large. She loves the shoes, but she is out of the country and cannot exchange them. My advise, is to double check size, whether you are purchasing these for a man or woman as the unisex sizing can be a bit tricky.

I don't know how Zappos could be more convenient or EASY. My very first experience a year ago: ordered a pair of shoes at 9:30 pm in a bar and they were at my door at 3:30 pm the FOLLOWING DAY. This order: my daughter wanted this pair and we went to several stores in Reno without luck. Ordered online and delivered in 1 day. Hard to beat that.

These shoes are classics. I am definitely keeping them! You are not going to find the comfort in throwbacks like these, but who am I telling? You buy these because they are some of the freshest footgear on the market. If you are uncomfortable with these, do yourself a favor and go rock yourself some Crocs.

I love the color and style. They fit perfectly (I downsized 1.5) but due to the loud popping sound the shoes make with every step I take I have to dock at least a full star.

Great shoe overall. If you know CT you know they run big! Bought these for my husband who is an 11/12 and we had to return the 11 for a 10.5 which fits great! We love the red too, it's a fantastic color.

It's a Converse, so not much to talk about it. Either you like the style or you don't. If you do, you probably have already owned a few before, so anything I write, I would be preaching to the choir. Now if you never had one before, things to keep in mind: 1. You will be waking on a flat surface - no arch support, no raised heels. If you can't stand that, this is not for you. 2. These are really large, so do buy half a size smaller. 3. If 1 above does not bother you, these are really comfortable for day to day use, but definitely not for long walks. 4. Personally, I love the style.

Hi Zappers, they have a very right on time service. I got my shoes within 5-6 days of ordering them. Shoes are true to your size if you weigh normal. I wear boots of size 8 and I already have 7.5 converse shoes. I would say size 8 would be very comfortable for this item. I wish I should have ordered size 8 for this particular style otherwise for no rise canvas 7.5 worked good for me. They look nice though.

Product was as I hoped it would be. Was delivered very quickly. No complaints. Would use Zappos again.

Comfort I gave 3 stars since I imagine most people aren't buying Chuck Taylors for the comfort and arch support. I have a pair for weightlifting in the gym. The thin pliable sole allows for me to replicate lifting barefoot without having to step all over someone else's dried sweat or just nasty funk that could be on the gym floor. I have wide feet and blow these out, but being that there's very little material there to begin with the sole blows out with the width of my feet. So it's like wearing a wide shoe. For lifting these are 5 stars. I wouldn't wear these every day though, my arch would hurt too bad.

Typical Chuck Taylor high tops. Seem to run bigger than my low tops from 7 years ago. Not too narrow if I let out the laces, which is good for my feet. Overall, good buy!

Comfortable and good looking, but these things are noisy. Lots of creaks and squeaks, in case that kind of thing bothers you. I wore these daily for years, and don't remember them ever squeaking. I suspect maybe the quality is not what it was.

Bought these for my daughter and she loves them. Very cute on her and fits well! Love Converse and love Zappos!

I have been wearing these for about a month now and I'm pretty happy with them. I normally wear a 7.5 (woman's) and I was worried about what size to order. I knew that I would want to put my orthotics into the shoes, so I needed them a little big, but then not too big? I decided to go with a 7.5 since people said the shoes were a little large and that worked out. The shoes fit well with and without the orthotics in them. They are as uncomfortable as everyone says; I could barely walk across the room without my orthotics in them (but I have pretty picky feet). Even with the orthotics I don't ever wear these for a full day of walking around, but for going to school or running errands they are fine. One thing I was surprised by, I thought that these shoes would make my feet look big, but I think they make them look smaller, it anything. Overall, I'm happy with these shoes and for anyone else with picky feet who is wondering if they can wear the 'cool' shoes like everyone else, I hope this helps!

Converse are ultimately cool sneakers...and as beauty often does...it comes with some down-sides. You get to have the right size, as the rubber front end does not ever widen. There is no foot-bed and when you wear them in hot weather they can get smelly...but hey, they are cool.

These run BIG!!! I bought a 12 and when they came, I felt like I was a kid again trying on my fathers shoes!!! Buy a size smaller.

Converse are a great classic style. My husband wore these with his suit for our wedding and they really looked great! However, they were too narrow for his feet and he'll likely not wear them very often. I wish Converse carried wides. I have a couple pair of Converse myself and feel that they are narrower than other shoes but stretch and conform to your foot nicely after a few wearings.

I ordered these shoes for my wedding. Yes, I said wedding. Ordering was easy, and they arrived quickly within a couple of days of ordering. Since I have other colors of Chuck Hi-Tops, I knew what size to order. It is true they have zero arch support. If your feet give you trouble do not buy these. But I have arch supports which travel between shoes and they work well in these shoes. And it is nice when wedding shoes are both stylish and practical! I have ordered from Zappos before and will do so again, but I will not marry again.

The Chucks provide classic style. They seriously can be dressed with any sort of attire: up, down, worn out, fresh and clean, whatever. They do run a one size too large. I wear a size 11 in Chucks whereas I normally wear a size 12 in most other brands. The shoes are decently comfortable, but the make my feet hurt if I do too much walking in them. Definitely not a good athletic shoe. I tried ballin' in these before, and it turned out to be a very bad idea. I didn't jump higher; I just had sore feet. I also ride my bicycle a lot and these shoes are terrible for that. The soles come undone and they also aren't thick enough to do a good job. Even without biking, the shoes wear out while just walking. And, while I like the worn in look, I have to repeatedly buy new pairs due to worn out soles, holes and tears. That being said, I keep buying them because they are that classic.

I bought these shoes because a guy in a strength book I read wears them for balance and flat footed feel. They work great I wear them every day that I workout. Also you can't go wrong with this classic!
