I thought these would be identical to the Nunn Bush Bristol boots I typically buy every 3-5 years however the heel is much higher and therefore this changes the whole aesthetic of the boot. Otherwise it is identical to the Nunn Bush Bristol boot. I had to send it back as the higher heel throws off the balance and style of the boot.

Great looking boots. I work in a casino and these boots go great with my suits! The only downside is that the heel is taller than I was expecting which creates some discomfort while walking around for extended periods. I'm hoping they will become more comfortable as I break them in and get used to them. Overall worth the money.

Florsheim Duke - This is a very good price for a leather boot. Although the fit is a bit snug, it wasn't a problem for me because I have narrow feet. Just make sure you know what your width size is when you order. Zappos delivery was superb. I will recommend Zappos to anyone who needs fast, efficient service.

Great Boot - This is the second pair I have purchased and both pair fit very well. Fit True to size, and easy break-in. Zappos service it truly extraordinary The only downside is the heel could be a little lower, other wise a great , nice looking boot

Gorgeous boots- I bought these as a gift for my husband, and he loves them (it's the first pair of shoes I ever bought him that he didn't want to return). Once we got the correct size (wider than he usually takes), the one problem he had was that the soles were initially very slippery, and he had trouble on most surfaces until they were 'roughed' up.

Evaluation - The shoes look great, however, the height of the heel will take some getting used to.

Duke 13 d - I`ve been wearing this style boot for over thirty years. It`s imperative that I go to an e width as the uppers are giving awawy @ the sole. Sure hope they go to an e width soon as this is the only one I purchase. My cobbler says they are too weak in that area & come apart.

Versatile, Great-Looking Boots for Casual or Dress - I like the Florsheim Duke boots. They're a classic style, great-looking, and versatile. I can wear them with almost anything--jeans or dress pants. I wear cowboy boots a lot, and these are a nice, dressier alternative. I've received a lot of compliments on them, too. Thanks to Zappos, the boots shipped in two days.

Look at all angles - My husband has always worn these types of boots, so I did not hesitate when I found them on line. However, I did not see that the heels taper from the top to the bottom like cowboy boots. With jeans, it does not matter much, but they lose their dressiness with dress slacks.

"Duke" Is For Me - The two pair of "Dukes" I purchased in the past 40 days are great. There is a leather strip that goes half way inside the shoe but as I wear them and take the shoe off the leather strip is coming unglued and is peeling back and I need to take it to a shoe repair man to glue it down otherwise it will cause me an ongoing problem. This is happening to both the right and left shoe. You should call Florsheim about this, thank you.

Tough to zip - This shoe arrived 16 hours after ordering online. It fit great, but hard to get in to the first couple times--really stiff heel. And, the zippers stick going up and down but are getting easier. Overall, fit as expected--great Florsheim quality and exceptional service.

High heels? These babies have 1 1/2-inch heels. They look and feel great, but I have to return them because of the heels. I've had a pair of Florsheim for about ten years; much the same style, but without the elevation.

Reasonable shoe for price and look - Adequately satisfies anyone's wardrobe.

The Duke - I would prefer a thicker sole. Other than that, the boot is as ordered and the fit is good.

I have EEE feet and have been wearing this model for a few years. Unfortunately, the two pairs I purchased a few months ago do not fit as well as previous models because the current fit is tighter than marked.

Great looking shoes - but cheap construction. After 1 hour of walking on Los Angeles sidewalks, the front sole / rubber bottom is chipped and scratched.

I have loved these boots and owned two pairs. So I can say with a fair amount of authority that, while these boots are beautiful and comfortable, they do not stand up to daily wear. I live in NYC and I find that these boots get cracks and scuffs far more easily than any other pair of boots I own. I have had my current pair for 3 years, had them re-soled once, repaired twice, and the cracks on the side-toe have finally worked through to reveal the tender sock within. This is definitely not an everyday-wear boot. Also, the arch support is middling, and requires an insole for comfortable walking.

Somewhat satisfied - I ordered an EE, which I thought would be more than wide enough. As it turned out, I should have ordered the widest size, given the narrow style of the boot. I do like the looks.

Cost up Quality down. I like the appearance and fit of the boot but the heel doesn't wear well in my opinion. I owned two pairs which I ordered at the same time in both instances the zippers broke off both pairs. Short of that I was happy.

Quality – For the last 5 years I have used this Boot and I have to say that the quality is not there anymore. The boot sewing “upper part” does not stay together. It starts to come apart after a few months. The leather tears and then it comes apart.

Duke - I have tall instep and had difficulty in getting boot on. I purchased this same boot about 3 years ago on the internet and it was much softer leather(calf) and easier to wear. I thought I was purchasing the same booti.e. Florsheim "duke"
