Had to return. These were supposed to be size 7. Felt more like a 9. Could put three fingers between my heel and the back of the shoe.

These shoes fit the bill when it comes to comfort and value. They were comfortable right out of the box and did not require much break-in time. The main downside to me is that the style is not great. My wife says they look like old person shoes due to the rounding of the toe area. This adds to the comfort but takes away from the stylishness of the shoes. If you value comfort over fashion, these shoes could be a good option for you!

If you're looking for stability and cushioning for plantar fasciitis, this is not the shoe for you.

I've had Deer Stags Wingtips in the past, but these are of a much lesser quality and I would return them except I need a pair for a wedding this weekend. They look good and fit good, but you can tell the quality is not the same as the previous pair I owned.

I ordered a 12 3E. Normally, a 12 fits my left foot just right, but a 12.5 or 13 is needed for my right foot. So I usually order 13. I figured with the extra width, 12 would be okay. These shoes were actually loose with thin socks, but would have been okay with thicker socks. Also, they developed a tear on the seam near the tongue, about 1cm, after only 3 hours of wear.

These are nice comfortable shoes. The quality is lacking, but the price makes up for it. These shoes generally last about six to nine months before starting to fall apart, but again for the price it is well worth it. They are very comfortable and light shoes.

For the first day of wearing these shoes I thought instantly that I had made a great purchase. I guess I had been wearing terrible shoes before because these shoes felt like heaven to the soles of my feet. I had been buying shoes well longer than I really needed because I couldn't find the styles that I liked in wide sizes. Then on the second day I realized the knock. The back "collar) of the right right shoe kept digging into my my Achilles. I tried to ignore it, but it actually rubbed a sore into the back of my ankle. I thought, "I can't return them now, I've put too much wear on them." I resigned myself to buying some athletic tape and sticking a couple of pieces onto the back of my ankle before I leave out in the morning. Just thought you should know.

This is the third pair of these I have purchased. Usually they last a year, but this time they lasted two wears. The entire heal separated from where the leather and the sole come together. Very disappointed in the cheap materials the manufacturer uses. I exchanged them for Rockports. Zappos is wonderful, it's not their fault.

Pros:
Out of 4 pairs of shoes ordered this was the most comfortable.
Cons:
The back of the shoe curves in and rubs against your tendon. I don't know why they made the opening so small or that way, but it didn't take me more than a few seconds to realize that it would rub me raw. If it wasn't for this I would have held on to the shoe.

You get what you pay for. The shoes fit quite comfortable and looked fine initially. 10 months later they had started to fall apart and were quite uncomfortable. This price for eight months constant wear isn't a bad deal, but I won't buy them again.

I worked as a server in a restaurant, and bought these for work. The look good and were comfortable enough, but lacked in durability. I got about three months of life out of them, at which point they were pretty much wrecked. The insides got torn up pretty quickly, and the soles wore through and started to separate from the shoe, requiring an emergency super glue repair until I could buy another pair of shoes. Overall, if you spend most of your day on your feet like I do, I recommend spending a bit more on another brand.

I cannot recommend this product. Within five days of wear, flecks of the shoe's coating came off, revealing a whitish plastic material. After a few weeks of wear, one of the eyelets began to separate from the shoe, ultimately tearing the material. These shoes will go into the trash as soon as I can buy a replacement.

I've bought at least 15 pair of Deer Stags over the last several years because they have my size (16) and were a great price. Initially, would have given them 4-5 stars for the price/look/comfort. My last two orders were disappointing. The shoes felt different for some reason...like the quality went down. Won't be ordering again, even at the low price.

These are very comfortable shoes, however, I am really disappointed in the separation of the heel and the shoe. Considering that I have worn these about nine times, to see the heel separate due to poor glue is disappointing. I will not buy another pair. I suppose I got what I paid for.

TERRIBLE SHOES!! Sole of right shoe came "unglued" from upper portion after less than 2 weeks on the job as a hotel manager. I will never purchase this brand again. The brightside was that when I spoke with the nice lady at customer service she refunded my full purchase price AND informed me that if I am able to have these shoes fixed that Zappos would reimburse me for that as well. The moral of the story is if you are going to buy crap shoes at least buy them from a great company like Zappos!

I have purchased many different styles of Deer Stags dress shoes. First time I have purchased this model. I like wing tip shoes. Very comfortable shoe, no break in required, nice looking shoes for the money. The only problem I have experienced with all of Deer Stags I have purchased is horrible foot odor. I am in my shoes 9-12 hours each day. The shoes reek after several weeks of use. I have tried everything to knock down the smell. Socks, powder, etc. I do not experience this with other brands of dress shoes. They usually out stink me before they wear out.

The tongue and heel are made out of the softest leather imaginable. A shoe horn can't get your feet inside this shoe! Every single time I wear this shoe, I have to loosen the laces completely (otherwise the tongue slips down to your toes and you'll never get it back up without taking your shoe off). The heel collapses under the slightest pressure, so you have to open the shoe up as wide as possible and slide back into the shoe from the front. If taking an extra five minutes to put on shoes bothers you, then avoid this shoe!

Inside a year and these shoes are a total bust. I wore them every working day and walked to and from work - about 30 minutes. I also walk a lot in my office. The first few weeks wearing this shoe was very, very painful and they are a stiff pair of shoes. They didn't bend well and ended up just destroying my toes but at least they looked pretty! Anyway, I also ended up getting plantar fasciitis while wearing these shoes and not sure if it's related or just coincidental, but still the arch support is just not there.

True, these were comfortable from day one. I usually wear a wide shoe, these seemed a little extra wide. I need to get wide to accommodate my bunion...so far so good. After 6 months the heel on one came unstitched at the top. Then, a couple months later, I noticed that the soles were totally splitting apart. Then, I see the "leather" upper starting to crack and realize that it's plastic! I have worn these a lot, but feel they should last longer. I don't see anywhere that it says they are made of man-made material.

Very disappointed. At first, I really liked these shoes because they're really very comfortable but they've started falling apart after less than 3 months! I know they're not the highest quality shoe, but I thought I'd at least be able to get more time than that out of them.

I bought these shoes for my brother and he said "The bottoms are plastic so I can't bend them while walking and they suffocate my feet. Also it feels like I'm walking on a mattress."

I wore these shoes to work everyday for about 3 months and then they just started falling apart. The entire sole on the left shoe is almost completely off.

This is my second pair of Tribune by Deer Stags. This is the most comfortable dress shoe I have ever worn! However, you must carry a bottle of glue with you because the first pair they left sole came unglued and I had to glue it back together. Then the second pair on the first day that I wore them the right sole came unglued and the third day they left the sole came unglued. This will be my last pair of these shoes that I will purchase but I will miss the comfort but the quality is awful.

I have worn Deer Stags for many years. They Essex model held up very well to the weather and after standing and walking all day my feet would still be comfortable and not tired at all. That is until the Essex got replaced with the Tribune. The Tribune feels to have less support, is harder under foot and is a wider fit. It does have the SUPRO sock but I'm not feeling that fantastic support I felt in the Essex. And after wearing the shoes for two weeks, I now have a blister on my heel! That has never happened with any of the previous Deer Stags I have owned. And then the design: the sole rim sticks out like a bumper guard. I bought the Tribune because of the comfort of it's predecessor but now I regret my purchase and I'll go shop for new shoes again.
