I love these shoes. They have been my work shoes for the past ten years. This is my fifth pair. A pair typically lasts me about 2 years of daily workday use. The comfort is what initially convinced me to buy and keep buying. I still can't find a better combination of style, comfort and price. Rubber soles and heels tend to scuff floors when new but gets better with time. I prefer to remove the insoles and add Spenco Crosstrainer insoles to maximize comfort. My local stores seem to be running low on stock, but Zappos had my size. Very pleased with Zappos shipping and service

I bought a pair of these and really enjoyed them. For the price they fit and feel wonderful. As I write this review I am purchasing my second pair because my first pair has got some bad scuffs and tears. Relatively short life, but for how cheap the price is, its well worth the fifty dollars!

I'm very happy with these shoes. As a pilot I go trough screening daily, and these shoes help me to expedite the process, look clean and are very comfortable. Great value for the money.

Fit true to size, definitely no shanks for getting through security. I felt like I might get some blisters on my heels for the first few days but didn't quite and now that they're broken in I'm quite happy with them. A cushier ride than my last shoes that were a standard black leather dress shoe.

When you need a simple, comfortable, black shoe for work, especially if you're on your feet much of the time, you could do a lot worse than these. The styling is basic and just formal enough for use everyday, and at the office. While I put full gel insoles in every pair of shoes, these bettered every other pair (even work boots) in terms of long-term comfort. Even after 12 hours on polished concrete floors, I had no foot discomfort. For the downsides, the Deer Stags do not compare with Red Wings or Doc Martens for construction or durability. After wearing daily for 4 months, the sole separated from the upper, on both shoes. And while the uppers were pretty resistant to scuffing, they did emit a disconcerting "plastic" squeak when rubbed. Leather feels and sounds better. Overall, a good choice, but wait until they're on sale.

The shoe looks great. While the collar around the shoe appears to be fully padded from the photo; the stitching above the heel is stiff enough that it chafes when walking a lot. I bought these a few weeks before a convention; thinking I would have time to "break them in" before going. It didn't work. Blisters and callouses after miles of walking. I think the shoe would be great for an occasional dress shoe, but isn't really built for day-in and day-out usage.

Decent Airport Friendly Shoe at a Decent Price - Relatively comfortable and wears in quickly. Unfortunately wears out relatively quickly too, but still a good value. Zappos was of course awesome, as always.

Good Shoe - Great shoe, the only negative is durability. I have owned this shoe for about a month or so and I am a manager of a pharmacy. There are already minor dings in it, but overall awesome shoe.

Good shoe for a good price - I thought this was a good deal for under $60.00. The only real complaint I have is the "Supro Sock" on the inside of the shoe. In this particular pair of shoes the sock has begun coming up and wads in a ball by the end of the work day. Other than that the shoe was a great buy.

Comfy... Very comfortable, yet dressy. I recently began an internship in DC that requires formal clothing, and I needed a non-Payless pair of -real- dress shoes. These were almost the same price as the other dress shoes I have (which are from Payless, and are plasticy), fit very nicely, and are more comfortable than any other shoes I own. The only drawback to them that I've noticed might just be exclusive to my feet: After walking in them for awhile, the end of the shoe, just past the laces, started to get a crease-like fold, and every time I took a step, the shoe folded there and cramped the top of my toes.

I have to walk a lot for my job and these shoes are the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. Also don't have to take them off when going through security. They feel a bit larger than marked, but that's not a huge deal. My big complaint is that the uppers developed pronounced creases on the first day of wearing them. They do hold a shine very well though.

This is a 3E? Am trying on the shoes for the first time. I noticed when putting on that they are kind of tight. I am a 3E but can wear a big cut 2E or 4E. I think the toe is narrow on these shoes because they are pretty tight. I have a medium arch, wide foot and narrow toe cut does not work well. For me a 4E would be a better fit. Otherwise the shoes look pretty good, but I'm going to send back. I purchased another brand also so will see how that goes.

Slippery When Wet - It took awhile to break them in but now they are very comfortable shoes. On the 1st day I wore them I went into a Burger King and it was raining outside and I slipped like crazy in the Burger King with absolutely no traction. I haven't worn them since, in the rain, so I don't know if the traction is better or not. Otherwise, great shoes.

Excellent shoe....BUT..... This shoe is great, very comfortable, I am on my feet 12 hours a day, these shoe make it a pleasure. They look great, I have large feet Size 14, they don't look like gun boats, toe comes to nice moderate point, not rounded as much, make my feet look normal size. My only complaint is the noise they make on flooring, squeaky and noisy. You will never sneak up on anyone, other than that a wonderful, handsome shoe. Looks are great when just shined, hold a shine very well.

Deer Stags review - Shoes look great, built good but not comfortable. The special inserts in shoes are not what I expected.

Good shoes - The shoe felt larger than others of the same size. However, after I put in my foot inserts, it is very comfortable. If you do not use any inserts, you might want to get one size smaller than what you usually wear.

Great comfortable shoes - Very comfortable. Almost feel like slippers! A little plastic looking but I am willing to give up a bit of appearance for comfort. These were my first pair of deer stags. I will definitely buy more!!

My husband loves these shoes! I bought these for my husband a few months ago, and he just ordered a second pair. He wears them to work (he is on his feet a lot) and says they are the most comfortable shoes he's had in long time. Also take a shine well and look dressy. Arch support is very good and size is true, well made.

Too big - I liked the shoes out of the box, but after putting them on, noted that they felt too big. I ended up returning the shoes for a pair 1/2 size smaller. This is my first purchase with zappos.com, and I am overly impressed with the amazingly fast (and free) shipping, and the no hassle return policy (again with the free shipping). I'm a customer for life!

Good Shoe - This is an excellent shoe for me to wear both to the office and for dress occasions. It fits perfectly. This is about the 4th or 5th time I have ordered this shoe, and will probably order it again next time.

Very quick shipping and very good shoe - This is my first pair of Deer Stags shoes. I tried them on right away when they arrived and wore them indoors for a while in case I was going to send them back for a different size. I bought 1/2 size smaller than most of my shoes because I have lost quite a bit of weight and my regular shoes were starting to feel loose for me. Since I had the ability to return them for a different size, I took a chance on the smaller size. They are very comfortable but they did take a bit of breaking-in for me, not nearly as long as other shoes. I am pleased with them and the price was good. They are imported but not from China (thank goodness). I always feel gypped when an expensive item has "China" on it. These had Brazil on the inside. Much better than China, in my opinion. Try them, I think you will like them, not perfect but very good.

Great shoe - I have big feet and I find it hard to find shoes that fit. I was skeptical about buying shoes over the internet, but things turned out great. The shoes are perfect and feel good and comfortable. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone.
