I have had this shoe for quite a while and really like it. It is a great work shoe but looks good enough to wear with dress clothes. The only complaint I have is that the shoe squeaks loudly on flat floors when it is wet. This can sometimes be embarrassing.

This shoe had no arch support. When I added a moderate support insert it fit and functioned well. The leather is a lighter weight than I had hoped for, but adequate. Without an arch insert, I would not recommend this shoe.

I needed a comfortable shoe with a thick sole because I use orthodics and suffer from foot pain. I have to say these are some of the most comfortable "dress" shoes I've worn. I felt no pain when breaking them in. I give them a 3 for style because they look a little like orthopedic shoes to me - the style is pretty bland and the leather has a funny grain to it. Still, I have kept them due to their comfort factor. That's more important than style to me.

This is my 3d or 4th pair of these. Near indestructible, not too stylish (neither am I!), good shoe for biking, general use, durable, comfortable, economical, practical.

My first pair of Rockport's after several recommendations. I have an extra wide foot and these fit great. Lightweight for walking, yet good overall support. The padded ankle is a bit uncomfortable--I have to tie a loose shoelace bow to keep the ankle support from digging into my ankle. Other than that, I'm very satisfied.

Shoes felt a little smaller than other Rockport shoes I have, but they are really comfortable and I like the lightness of the shoe and the fit.

I find the World Tour Classic provides excellent support, yet are very comfortable. Also they require little break-in.

I wore this style for years as a street salesman and pitchman. Long hours, tough terrain, sometimes pulling a cart of a few hundred pounds over 2 miles of parade route. They can handle it better than I can.

This item in an 11 1/2 N ran a little wide in the heel.

I have wide but small feet and high arches. Found this make 7 yrs ago and haven't changed. I've walked the soles off in one year, three times. Please don't drop this style or make.

I have been wearing the World Tour Classic for a number of years. Overall, I have been happy with the shoes, but I had some concerns with my current pair. For whatever reason, I was not blown away with the fit. I always wear my rigid orthotics in my shoes. With previous pairs, my feet immediately felt comfortable. With my current pair my feet felt cramped. Yes, I could have returned the shoes, but I opted not to. Instead, I used a pair of shoe trees in an attempt to stretch the shoes a bit. Whether I actually accomplished this is open to debate. The shoes do feel better now, and that may simply be the result of my wearing them in.

Nothing fancy. Just a good solid shoe for spending a large part of the day on your feet. I've not had Adidas Rockports but in the past Rockport was a solid brand. Hope they still are.

Bought this based on the 5-star reviews and my previous good experience with Eurika series. I got serious pain on my ball-of-foot after a few hours of wearing them. I gave about a month, every time I used it, I have serious pain. Extremely disappointed.

I have had a pair of these for years and just love them. Having size 12B, which is hard to find, & having had numerous foot surgeries by age 70; I keep about 30 pair of shoes and "rotate" them daily. These are my all-around best travel shoes. They go with just about anything, are always very comfortable, hold-up well, are light and easily "packable." They feel like expensive NB running shoes while worn. Mine have trudged all over France, Belgium, Switzerland, & Spain for about a decade. In fact, I wore them yesterday to work, as I occasionally do. As the leather is so soft, I keep mine on "shoe trees" (forms) when not worn. But, they crush to pack and come back immediately. If these came in different colors in my size, I'd buy them.
I'd also recommend:
NB, Cabela's, Clarks, J&M, Mephisto, Dunham, & Bally.

Rockport shoes are the best, and they are the most comfortable show that I have found. I am a Clark's guy but the Rockports are a close second in my book.

Excellent quality and walkability. The only issue I have is that the insoles are too thin. I replaced them with ones with more cushion and it improved the shoe comfort 100%.

A few years ago I owned these shoes, for 2.5 years, and they were amazing! Unfortunately I lost my pair while traveling. A month ago i repurchased a pair of 9.5W online and they fit well, even though my feet run wide. However the part that brushes the Achilles is too stiff and takes away some comfort. It may be that they are not broken in yet. I get complimented on these shoes at least once a week.

Workmanship and style are excellent. Only complaint, and it pertains to my foot structure, is that I wish the insert had a higher arch. Other wise great shoe for looks and comfort.

I've had the World Tour Encounter before and thought I'd try the Classic. It is excellent for everyday use and I use it for work and casual wear. My only comment is that the lace keeps slipping and I need to tie a double knot to keep the slippage at a minimum. Other than that, it is an excellent shoe.

A good looking well made shoe. Very true to size (in my case 91/2}. Has a much harder sole than I anticipated as I had an earlier pair of "Pro Walker"s which were much more cushioned and I was told that these were similar. Personal preference... I liked the more cushioned better. If this doesn't matter to you, this is a nice shoe.

Had to return the first pair of shoes for the wider ones and these shoes run narrow. Zappos operators were very pleasant to work with even waived the shipping costs on the second pair.

I really like the shoes with one exception. The soles have caused me to slip 3 different times when the weather was rainy or wet. This happened on a sealed textured pebble sidewalk surface, an asphalt sidewalk and upon entering a commuter train with a metal step. I could've easily fallen, but didn't. I do really like the shoes. They are very comfortable to wear. But, I am hesitant to wear them if the weather is going to be wet.

A great shoe that I've bought for 20 years at least but notice the quality of the shoestrings has greatly deteriorated over the past few years and now seem to start fraying in less than a year which is extremely irritating.
