I realize my assessment cuts against the grain of just about every other purchaser/wearer of this shoe, but here is my view. For my foot, comfort and support, the Rockport WC is quite deficient. In a nutshell, this is what I will warn ... if you are like me and need a shoe with a generous toe box, this shoe will pinch and disappoint. There is simply too much taper through the arch to the toe; and yes, I tried the wide version of the shoe and it proved way too wide and sloppy. It’s a ‘toe box’ issue.

I am a long time wearer of the World Tour Classic. As a teacher, I spend lots of time on my feet and these shoes were perfect for me. The size and comfort have always been just right for me. Unfortunately, it seems that Rockport has decided to save a few pennies by modifying the shoe. They moved production to India and changed the quality. The latest pairs (black and brown) I bought were much stiffer that all earlier pairs. I've always ordered a Wide style. But the new pair seemed narrower. The leather uppers are much stiffer than before. The tongue is shorter. Even the laces are shorter. The insole was so uncomfortable that I tried using gel inserts, but that didn't help. The soles have all the flexibility and comfort of concrete. I used to wear these shoes all day long with no problem. Now, the heels and balls of my feet ache after just a few hours. I wore these shoes for two months to make sure that the discomfort wasn't due to the fact the shoes hadn't been broken in. After two months, they are even more uncomfortable. I am sad that Rockport felt the need to cheapen their standards to save a few cents. I would willingly pay dollars more to have a comfortable shoe. I will never buy another pair again as long as Rockport keeps making them the same way.

The shoe laces don't last and do not stay laced. Rockport knows this defect and refuses to correct the defect. Do not buy from this company

Maybe the most uncomfortable shoe ever made. Rockport used to have a great product, but this last pair has made me re think this brand. I'll stick to Ecco from now on.

Computers haven't worked at Rockports main web site for weeks. I cannot by my brother shoes that he desperately needs for work. He's a EEEE width, so it's not easy finding a great fitting shoe for him. Needless to say his birthday is in a week and I've been trying to buy these shoes since September 29, 2017. I no stuff happens, but this is beyond ridiculous! I can't imagine the amount of income they've loss. Sad for such a great shoes end!

I bought these 6 months ago. This is my 5th or 6th pair of world tours and have always loved them. Either this pair is a defect or Rockport has changed something with the manufacturing of the shoe. It is stiff and uncomfortable even after wearing them 15-20 times. I normally wear these every day for work in an office and have never had an issue with previous pairs. Very disappointed with the quality of this shoe. Unfortunately I waited too long to get any kind of refund or replacement. Will be trying a different brand.

Nothing like the shoes I bought in 2015. My original pair were fantastic. Then the pair I bought in 2015, and made in Viet Nam, were slightly lower quality. I just returned shoes that were made in India, looked good but were 1 size too small with much stiffer leather. Nothing like the originals.

For years I have been buying this style of shoe and the Pro Walker for my husband and recently, four pairs of shoes that I have bought have been so narrow he cannot even get his foot all the way into the shoe.

I have used these shoes for 20 years same size 10W, I ordered a pair of black shoes and they are too small, so I decide to order 10XW and still they don't fit right. both pairs were made in India. Shoelaces too short.

This is the second identical pair of world tour classic shoes I have ordered. I ordered the new pair 1/2 size larger because the first pair was a little tight. The new pair is painfully smaller. Here's the kicker. The shoe laces aren't long enough to tie a bow with. Are you kidding me?!!!

Bought them over the web. Found that they hurt my feet. The tongue seems to be the problem: it is very stiff and gouges my ankles. It's a pity because I'd thought Rockport would do better.

Wearing this pair shoes is pretty much like putting my feet on hard rocks. It is so heavy and rigid that construction workers would like it. Definitely NOT for world travel. Returned it without any hesitation. Will never consider Rockport from now on.

I have bought several pair of these shoes size 12 N and they fit fine and I really liked the shoe and got lots of wear, but this last pair were too short. Kept trying to wear them. until my big toe toenail came off. Giving them to local Mission.

I found that the Black World Tour Men's class K71185 US 9.5 W made in India did NOT have as wide of a toe box as the Brown World Tour Men's Classic K70884 US 9.5 W made in Vietnam. The Vietnam made shoe fits me perfectly
