These Rockports aren't what they used to be. Unfortunately, no shoes made in China seem to be. I could feel ridges under my feet when I put my weight on them. You would also think they could give you laces with them that were long enough. I couldn't even tie the shoes. I thought I'd replace the laces from a pair of this this same shoe that was many years old, but the shoes were too uncomfortable to keep. Returning.

I had the nubuck version of this shoe and it fit well, comfortable. However the polished black and brown pair are tighter and took some stretching and getting used to. I wear an 8W and all 3 pair are 8W, so I don't understand why the 2 polished pair are tighter than the nubuck. I will respond YES to the "reccomend" question, but beware, you will need to wear thin dress socks. Too bad the W isn't really a W.

These used to be better. I tried a third pair after the first 2 worked well with different insoles. Now the laces are too short and it feels like the shoe is smaller overall. The rest of the evening my feet hurt after trying them on for a bit, so I sent them back.

I bought this pair of shoes because of the high ratings, but I am really disappointed, since my experience is very bad. The sole is very hard and stiff, and there is very little cushion. I am really surprised by the high ratings and the amount of reviews it has. I saw people on Amazon had the same concern and suspected about getting a knockoff. I doubt that possibility, but it is very puzzling that my experience is drastically different from others.

A pretty and manly shoe I purchased for both my 40 year old son and my husband, and neither liked it. It was a bit short in size (one is a 14 and the other a 13), and both felt it fit short. We returned them.

I was a huge fan of Rockport but not now. The fit and feel is no where even close to what it used to be. The first repeat order I sent back thinking there had to be a mistake since the fit and feel was so bad but the replacement was just as bad and very disappointing. The quality is gone. I am sadly done.

They fit a bit narrow, even though they are size wide. My previous exactly the same size pair from a few years ago were a perfect fit. These are not. Maybe I need to wear them a bit to loosen them up, or send them back. Probably should have bought them at a shoe store.

I've had several pairs of these in the same size over the years and liked them very much, but this last pair seems like a different shoe - smaller and the "feel" of the sole is off, almost like it's higher on the outside than the inside. Not sure if I just got a bum pair or if the design has changed, but I'm disappointed.

I have been purchasing this shoe for over 10 years, always the same size and in black and brown. This time something has changed. The length is shorter than my last pair and they are not as wide. I will need to return them to the store and search for another size

I have been wearing these shoes for over 10 years. I recently purchased a new pair and am quite disappointed. The new shoes which are made in India, my older ones in Vietnam are definitely not as comfortable and appear inferior to previous shoes I have bought. It may be time to look for a different brand of shoe.

This is my 3rd pair of Rockports. I found the leather quality not up to the standards I have experienced. Also, for this pair, the tongue seems to be too short. If the upper-most eyelets are used, the laces rest on the top of my foot rather than across the tongue. Finally, I had to order a 1/2 size larger in this shoe than my normal Rockport size.

I have been wearing a Rockport shoe for years but the sole was worn out. I ordered a new pair with nearly the same style and exactly the same size (9 N). I tried to break in the new shoes thinking that the tight fit was something that would work out. But it did not! And, while a small feature, the shoe laces are FAR too short!! I have barely enough shoe lace to tie them.

I have been wearing Rockport (World Tour) shoes for over 15 years and until now have been extremely happy with them. Unfortunately, the last pair I recently ordered (and will be returning) were a great disappointment. Specifically, the tongue on the left shoe is so short that when tied the knot actually is against the skin on the instep on my ankle. I noticed that you have apparently changed countries who make them and as I have pointed out above, the tongues are shorter than those I have previously worn.

I agree with the top critical review that I read on the rockport world tour classic shoes. I have been buying rockports for at least 20 years along with other shoes that I like. however, I was very disappointed in these shoes. I have worn them 1 time to a school outing with my grandson. When I got home, I took the shoe off and never put them on again. I hate to return things but I will probably return these. I put them in my closet and have forgotten about them for approx. 3 to 4 months. The main complaint was the shoe came up too high at my ankles and were starting to rub a blister on the bottom of the ankle by the time I got home. I really hate to return them because they are a very smart looking shoe and reek of comfort when viewed.

I have several pairs of World Tours and have always considered them my favorite walking (and everyday) shoe. When I saw that they were now offered in extra-wide (I have a wide foot and bunions) I excitedly ordered a pair in my size (10.5). All my other World Tours are 10.5 W and fit well so I assumed the 10.5 Extra Wide would be even better. Wrong!! The new extra Wide shoes are much tighter than the 10.5 W's and are quite uncomfortable. I can barely get into them. Poor quality control? Mislabeling a medium shoe as extra wide? I don't know but I can't wear them.

Even though I ordered XW, the shoes are not done right. It is either labeled incorrectly, or someone does not know how to measure. In the past I never had this experience. The quality itself is very good. But I need extra wide and this is not.

I buy this shoe every two years, but not again; They are being made in India now, after beinig made in China and Vietnam. quality is very poor, and sizes are out of whack. Will wait until they correct or relocate manufacturing before buying them again.

I've been wearing my new shoes for over a week and they still hurt my feet. I replaced the insoles and that helped but the shoes still hurt my ankles I am pretty disappointed in these shoes. I had a similar pair that were comfortable from day one. But I had worn them out so I needed to replace them.

Have been wearing this model of shoe since about 2000. Originally they were fantastic. Each new pair I have purchased have steadily deteriorated in quality of material and comfort. This is probably the last pair.

Have bought these shoes for 25 years, so for the first time ordered online. These, made in India, not quite the same as previous pairs made elsewhere. Size a bit more snug, material does not feel quite as soft. Had to return two pairs.

I found a significant flaw in two pair and then switched to Dunham. The shoes are very comfortable, seem true to size, and are well styled. But on two pair the eyelets had rough inside surfaces that immediately started causing abrasion on the laces. The abrasion was readily felt and heard as I pulled the laces through the eyelets. A clear case of poor quality control and poor materials. For an alternative, albeit more expensive, I found the Dunham Midland Oxford excellent.
I'd also recommend:
