looked good but didn't feel good at all

Rockport was my go to shoe. However now that manufacturing is accomplished in various countries the shoe width varies from the stated size. This shoe was manufactured in India and even though an extra wide my foot was squeezed! P.S. I loved the shoe style but my foot said NO!

I ordered these for my husband and he said they were extremely uncomfortable. The insole of the shoe was not cushioned much and he said it felt like walking on bricks or some kind of steel grate. Too bad, as these were very nice looking shoes. Will be returning them.

Nice shoes, just not the size advertised For an 8.5 wide, it just didn't cut it.

This sole (foot bed) of Rockport World Tour Classic shoe fit OK (10.5 extra wide) but was very/extremely hard. I thought that, years ago, this shoe was made with a Vibram sole. The shoe feels very hard when walking or standing. No give or cusion type feel. Liked Clark's UnBend (Unstructured Bend) - but not made anymore. Tried Clark's Un Ramble (Unstructured Ramble) and these did not work (returned). Rockport World Tour Classic has no cushion. Disappointed that Clark's no longer makes the UnBend - as these were very comfortable, yet light - especially for someone on their feet all day.

I used to love the basic Rockport walking shoe. They must have changed something, because I was 9 Wide back in the day for multiple iterations of this shoe, but now even the 9.5 Extra Wide feels cramped and uncomfortable to wear. Very disappointing.

Have owned Rockports for many years - my closet has been full of them. I have also purchased prior versions of this particular shoe many times due to their extreme comfort. However, I was very disappointed in this purchase. Unlike most Rockports, this pair was not comfortable at all out of the box - very stiff, unbending, and generally uncomfortable. I could have probably worn them for a couple of weeks for break-in, but I'm not that patient nor are my feet. Will just donate them and buy a different pair.

Have bought same shoe in past with excellent results. The new shoes I ordered did not fit. Too short. Too narrow. And too tight through instep. Felt like 2 sizes too small all around.

I've purchased Rockports in the past and have never had a problem, however these shoes are an exception. They are very stiff and uncomfortable. I tried wearing them on several occasions hoping they'd loosen up a bit. No such luck. I finally gave up and donated them to a charity organization.

Looks good but not a comfortable shoe

These felt true to size, but there is not much padding on the back of the ankle and it rubbed the wrong way.

Leather is very shiny, would scar easily. lacing is awkward.

I was wearing a rather expensive (SAS) pair of shoes everyday for what seems like forever. They were/are fabulous.... I bought another pair to replace them, but after receiving them it occurred to me that it seemed foolish to wear them everyday as knock-around shoes given their cost, so I purchased these Rockport shoes to wear in lieu of the SAS shoes. There is a very substantial difference: the leather used for these Rockport shoes is like cardboard - very stiff and thick. The the cushioning is minimal. Actually, I’m not knocking them.... The Rockports do look nice and for the cost they are probably of acceptable quality and may last for a long time. I’m going to continue wearing them, but potential buyeres should be aware that while they may appear quite nice, they are made to meet a price point that may disappoint....

Aside from the fact that these look like my 82-year-old Dad's shoes, they are well made. The leather actually looks plastic. Hate. That said, my husband DID choose the Rockport Northfield and likes it a lot.

The Rockport World Tour Classic is a durable comfortable shoe for $100. I have bought many pairs over the years since they come in larger sizes and narrow widths. However I wonder if Rockport has changed the composition of the soles. This pair squeaked so loudly when walking on hard surfaces (wood, tile) that I returned them.
