I have worn a series of Rockport World Tour Classic shoes over the past 30+ years. They are one of my favorites for dress wear and anytime I feel the need for a slight upgrade in footwear. I have maintained a size 9-2E or 4E for many years. Using experience from my last purchase of these shoes (in brown tumbled leather, size 9-2E), I changed to a 4E width for more comfort. The new shoes, in grey nubuck, although labeled 4E, are quite snug. They fit, and I'll keep them, but the fit is close to the foot all the way around. I'll probably take them to my local shoe repair place and have them professionally stretched to gain some space. I should note that I use custom-made orthotics in both shoes. In fact, it was my orthotist who first recommended this shoe model as one with sufficient interior space to accommodate the orthotics. I recognize that the thickness of the orthotics may be taking up some of the space provided by the 4E width. However, previous pairs of these (I currently have both black 9-4E and brown 9-2E pairs) were able to fit the orthotics and still have comfortable room left in them. I'm left wondering whether Rockport has changed their production last, or if this shoe is perhaps made in a different factory.

Length was fine, width narrower than marked. A wide would've been too wide.

Fit and size are OK so was the width. I prefer the Vibram soles of the older Rockports because the Vibram soles have more cushion than the newer models without them. Overall the shoe is OK.

I had to go up 1/2 size larger for lenght and width was fine. I prefer the old Vibram style sole to new type sole as the Vibram sole had more cushion than the new style sole.

Third pair of World Tour over some time. This third pair has gotten narrower or my feet have suddenly gotten wider. Noticed this immediately once taking them out of the box after purchasing. Same size as my previous purchases.

Ive been buying these shoes for years just seems the quality level is going down, they bust at the seams front of shoe area after a couple months. Take longer to break in

I have had several pairs of these shoes in the past. I bought a replacement pair of the same size (8.5) and it was far too small and tight. Manufactured in China. I returned it and ordered the size 9. These arrived today and fit fine. (Manufactured in Vietnam).

I bought two pairs of the Rockport World Tour Men's Classic - 1 brown and 1 black. I have previously had this same type shoe - and have loved them - but they have always been made in Vietnam. This time around I noticed one pair again fit very well however the other did not. The one that fits well is again made in Vietnam, the other pair that does not fit well is made in India. I have read reviews at other sites saying the exact same thing. So, suggest you fix the India supplier (or just go with Vietnam)!

I wore out my last pair ... they were roomy and plush. This pair is difficult to even get on and very snug (especially across the arch). The sole padding is a joke but there is no extra room to add a more luxurious foot pad. Perhaps I should have ordered a size up?

My husband has a pair of these Rockports that has worn well and felt good for years. Ordered this new pair, same size as he always wears, 10M, and the sizing on the new ones is just a bit too small. Sadly returning. We do like Zappos but in this case we'll just go to Macy's for a new pair as the shopping and trying on and returning is easier.

I have been a loyal Rockport fan for 40 years, because of their quality, fit, and availability in a men's size 7.5 Wide. I received my World Tour Men's Classics a few days ago, and noticed these things: The quality of the materials and workmanship appear very good, and they are a very stylish shoe. The laces are very thick, making it difficult to loosen and tighten, so I replaced them with thinner laces. The fit is odd, being quite long, but about right in width, as though they were a size or two larger, but in a medium width. The insteps are low, so they fit tight across the top of my foot. I do not feel much arch support, so I may need to replace the insoles with after-market insoles, which is something I have never had to do with Rockports. And the collar of the shoes rubs against the inside of my ankles, which is not very comfortable. Regardless of the problems, I am going to keep them for the looks and quality, and because I do not plan to be walking a lot in them. My biggest disappointment is that I can no longer depend on the sizing and fit that I have relied on for so many years.

These shoes do not have a lot of padding at the ankles and rubbed below my ankle bone on my left side. Otherwise the fit was good both length and width

I did not care for how the shoe on the bottom felt like it had high spots in the front and back of the shoe.

My husband ordered these because he had an older pair of similar Rockports that he said were super comfy. I thought they looked like "old Man shoes" but when he develped an arthritic toe I encouraged him to pull out the old pair and they were the only pair he could wear when his toe flarred up. So he bought this very similar looking pair, but he says the toe box is very low and hurts. So back they go. Too bad, he needs some comfy shoes!

The description states this is a 4E. My husband has worn this exact shoe for many years. For some reason, the manufacturer is now marking it as a "XW". Every site we go on, including Zappos, say this is a 4E which it is not. It is much narrower than a 4E. Otherwise, this is a great shoe. Rockport is known for quality and comfort, this is exactly that. They have a great blend of looking nice but being comfortable. Can dress up or down and look great.

These were narrower than I was expecting. My feet are about 4 1/4 inch at their widest point, and I thought that 4E shoes should fit. But they were too tight, although the length was fine. It is a shame that Zappos does not give more guidance on width of shoes. Their size chart only addresses length, which is not very helpful.

I returned these. They are very comfortable, but not at all pleasing to the eye. I don't think the photos do justice to how ugly these shoes are.

These shoes fit true to size but lack thick enough soles for comfort. My feet felt tired in these shoes after several hours of standing. Not recommended for long hours at work.
