No arch support! My best friend swears by New Balance shoes, and I've always had good luck with New Balance in the past, so I ordered these for myself. I was disappointed when I tried them on to find they had NO arch support. Not only did it feel like my feet were standing flat on the ground, but the sides of my foot were pinched. I have slightly wider than average fronts of my feet, but a normal heel width, so I have to get average width to make sure the heels don't slip. I really wish these would have worked for me.

Too hot to handle - Good looking shoe, but toe box is too tight. The medium width too tight, the wide width too loose and the worst of it is the shoe is so hot; I had to take them off after 20 minutes.

Second Review - I posted an earlier review for this shoe when I had to return it for a much wider width. Normally, I wear a 6B, but returned this shoe for a 6D. I walk very hard and fast, both on my job (on concrete floors) and in my neighborhood (3-5 miles every day). This shoe is STILL a little tight across the toe area. It is so cute that I have chosen to keep it for normal wear, when I'm not working or exercising. It doesn't bother me when shopping, etc. But, if you are considering this shoe for work or exercise, think hard before ordering. I should also mention that I have a high instep, which might contribute to the problems I have with this shoe.

New Balance W608 Review - The sneaker looks great. First pair I ordered was tight, so I order the wide width. My current pair hurts me in the ankle due to the cut of the sneaker around the heel/ankle area. I have red marks/cuts on my ankles every time I wear them even for a short walk. I like the sneaker, but am in pain every time I wear them. Not too happy with the overall purchase.

New Balance WX508 - The look of this sneaker is that of a rugged cross-training shoe. The feel is a little disappointing for me. Maybe it takes longer to break in then most sneakers but it is too tight to be the right size.

This shoe has a nice high ankle, but the overall fit was narrower than expected. The 557 has a much better fit. There was minimal arch support and the toe box was not as wide as in other New Balance shoes.

Love my shoes but... I was at first disappointed when I received these shoes, as they were shown as being a mid-height...Not so...Anyhow, I kept them, since they were a good looking shoe otherwise...They seem to run small in both size and width...I ordered a 1/2 size bigger and they just fit...Width is a little tight, but I hope with wear they'll stretch out...Don't think I'll order any more New Balance...

So much better on the feet!! I have tried to go with out decent shoes for over a year now. I bought these since I knew how New Balance made my legs and feet feel and it was so nice to not have the leg pain I was suffering from wearing cheap shoes. These feel snug on the first wearing but they soon form to your feet. After the first couple of hours they felt like I had wore them for months! Great Shoe, Great price and fast service!!

Disappointed - I've always loved New Balance shoes, but this style is a disappointment. It does not have the arch support of their other styles nor the overall comfort. Orthotics were difficult to wear. They made the top of the shoe hit too low on my foot.
