New Balance MX608 - The MX608 is a down-to-earth cross trainer that I use for walking. New Balance is one of the few shoe companies that shows an interest in the section of the shoe buying population that has wide feet, a fact I appreciate. There is nothing glamorous here, just a well made shoe that feels, in terms of size and width, like the product I visualized when I bought this product from Zappos.

A great shoe - I was happy to find these again! I used to wear the 608's a few years ago and they were always my favorite! I can wear these all day without any problems at all.

Best New Balance shoes made - I'm so glad New Balance brought back the 608's. They are the best tennis shoe my husband has ever had. The 620 replacements were not as comfortable and did not last as long. My husband is very pleased. We just ordered 3 pair, and I'm going to order 2 more pair for Christmas.

MX608 - After receiving the shoe, I wore the shoes all day to work. My feet were very sore, but it could be that my feet were not use to them. So now I wear them casually and not having any problems now. I'm 5'8'', 160 lbs

Good fit for your budget - I wear a 17 EEEE so finding sneakers can be hard. New Balance is one of the only brands that always offers my size in stock. This particular pair has been my favorite so far. It is lighter and more comfortable than the other styles I have tried.

Liking the MX608 - Very comfortable, I have a high arch and wear orthotics, so I pull out the liner and insert the orthotics. This is a good shoe for a variety of activities: Aerobics, tennis, basketball.

Squeaky, Squeaky, Squeaky - Great shoe, but the material atop the tongue squeaks when it rubs against the lining of the shoe - annoying and embarrassing.

Perfect fit - Ordered this shoe online for my son-he wears a 16 which is somewhat hard to find. He needed an athletic shoe ASAP for a school function-this one fit and was very comfortable, and looked good too.

Newbies - These shoes are very comfortable right out of the box. I went with the 2E width but probably should have stuck with the regular width. They have a broke in feel after a few times wearing them out so I would say they are true to width and about 1/2 size smaller than stated. Your feet tend to get a little warm after a couple hours of working out but the shoe is well ventilated. You just can't go wrong with NB! I play basketball in them and have no pain in the legs like I did with my Avia cross-trainers. I also own a pair of NB 1221 running shoes that are awesome!

I just needed some work shoes! I don't like the all black look. In fact I would never have bought these shoes if my work did not require all black. I must say however that I am very pleased with how well they fit and with how my feet feel at the end of a long day. I walk an average of 15 miles a day at work and 95% of that is on concrete. Just want to say again ugly shoes, but very very comfortable.

MX608-Kevin - I bought this shoe for my gym training. I have narrow feet so I always go for New Balance. This shoe allows me to weight train, jump rope, jog on the treadmill, ride the bike or hop on the stair climber! A very versatile shoe.

Good dry weather winter walking shoe - I would have liked more heel cushioning typical of New Balance Shoes

Good shoe but a little narrow - This shoe is almost perfect--good construction from a reliable company. Unfortunately, it was a little narrow which caused me some problems. Next time I'll order a wide (which I've never had to do before).

Good for the price- I bout this shoe for work (retail) because I’m on my feet all day. It’s a good shoe, good stability and decent comfort. The only gripe I have with it is the heel support isn’t as cushy as I would like, but other than that it’s a good shoe for the price.

New Balance 608 - Great sneaks and hard to find anywhere else, but as always, Zappos had them!

Problem with narrow widths - I have a narrow foot which limits the styles of footwear I can buy. New Balance has the largest selection in this area. The shoes fit well but eventually stretch out. The only thing I would suggest is that the styles be updated to be more contemporary.

My friend's review who is the user of this shoes - First, I have to commend on the excellent service that Zappos.com provides, I got my shoes in less than 24 hours, wow!! Incredible. I found this product comfortable, it look sharp and they fit well. I already wore them four times, without any problem.

New Balance MX608 - Decent! Third pair of 600 series I've purchased all have worn well and been comfortable.

Repeat order - Had a pair of this model before and figured fit would be same. Fit was very good, but shoes were a little tighter (not uncomfortable, though)

Narrow but nice - I've owned New Balance shoes before, so making the decision to buy another was a no-brainer. I've always loved the comfort and durability of New Balance products. I spend many hours on my feet at work, walking between 10-16 miles a day (no joke), so finding a pair of durable and comfortable shoes is essential. I've tried many brands over the years and New Balance has always been the best. The MX 608 is no exception. After ordering this shoe from ZAPPOS, which arrived at my doorstep within 48 hrs (!), the first thing I noticed was that it felt a little narrow. However, after wearing the shoes for a couple of days, this didn't seem to be a problem. I really don't notice it now and my feet feel good even after a long day at work. I suggest that if you decide to buy this shoe, order it a size wider, especially if you plan to wear thick socks with it. Big thumbs up to ZAPPOS for their good customer service and delivery. You guys ROCK!

Just average - For the price, this is an OK shoe. I use it for working out at the Y, and it's good enough for that. I wouldn't run in it.

Top seam starts to unravel - I love the shoe but the seam on top unravels in less than a year. I have purchased these shoes for quite awhile and the last two pairs have done this. I am becoming very disappointed with the shoe if it happens again, I will have to try a new shoe brand/style.

This shoe runs narrow. My husband wears an 11-EEEE shoe. I have ordered and now returned these shoes. They seem to run a little narrow, as compared to other New Balance shoes. However We LOVE New Balance shoes. As a matter of fact, I don't think my husband has owned athletic shoes other than New Balance for ten years! This is the only brand of shoe that he can buy and know that they will be true to size and fit (with the exception of this shoe.)

608 not for me - I tried this New Balance and found that it was somewhat uncomfortable... I then went to a local mall and tried all kinds of new balance shoes, first 9.5, then 10... 'cause i usually wear either of these sizes depending on shoe and manufacturer, I even tried wide widths... bottom line is that i can't wear new balance, period... the good news is that ASICS shoes are made to order for my particular foot... go figure!

I tried, didn't work out - I tried this shoe in several sizes and widths and it just didn't fit properly. I rarely have issues finding comfortable shoes, but this one didn't make it for me. I tired a Medium (D) width first in 8 and 8.5, too narrow. I then tried Wide (EE) in an 8 and still no good. I sent them back.
