I really don't think a "looks" rating matters since this goes INTO the shoe.... The insoles are perfect for me. I'm a half-size, and most boots (especially Docs) come in whole sizes only. The shoes can get a little loose after you break them in. These insoles help to keep them fitting great.

What a difference!!! I can't believe this thin little insole could hold up a big person like me. They make wearing doc marten's more comfortable, especially during the break-in period.

Great Product - I had a problem because Doc Martens don't come in half sizes, these insoles were better than several other store bought insoles I tried. Now my shoes fit great.

Dr. Martens Insole - I bought these for my Doc Marten boots, they were great, made the boots fit better because I am a 6 1/2 and they only sell in whole sizes. Buying them was well worth the money spent!!

No other insole will do! I have been wearing Dr. Marten shoes and insoles for years and love them! If you have a problem with your Martens not fitting right due to 1/2 size unavailability, try this insole and they will fit like a glove!

DR. MARTEN'S COMFORT INSOLE - They worked great, highly recommended, my feet didn't hurt and weren't tired at the end of the day. Get some, you'll be glad you did. Zappos ships really fast too.

Not that Doc's are not already great but...... I actually bought these on a whim and was incredibly pleased with the way they improved the overall comfort and fit of the shoes.

There GRREAT - I am on my feet 10 - 12 hours a day sometimes more. These provide the best support of any product I have found. I have custom supports and they hurt where these do not.

Bought these to replace the worn out insoles in my work boots. They are very comfortable, but not for work boots. Everyday shoes they would be great in. Hope that someday Dr. Martins will sell some replacements for work boots.

My feet feel so much better! These are a great addition to any style of Dr. Martens. Only problem was that they were too long for my Mary Janes (size 9); I had to trim some of the insole in the toe area to make it fit.

Dr martens insoles - The insoles are "very" comfortable and provide a much better fit for my foot in my Doc Marten shoes.

I was a bit disappointed with this particular insole. It seems to retain odor more than the rest. It felt comfortable and all, but the last thing you want is a shoe or an insole that retains odor! I don't regret the purchase however, because, 9 times out of 10, I have been very happy with stuff I've purchased at Zappos. I seem to look for excuses to call Zappos because the customer service people are so much fun to talk to. It's almost as if you get a dose of inspiration when you speak with them! This item wasn't that expensive. I suppose if it was, I would have been a little put off. I am surprised, usually, everything that Dr. Martens makes is of very high quality. Ah well, you win some, you lose some!

I've had a pair of standard Doc 8-hole boots for a while, and they were always a little big even with thick socks. These fit perfectly, and, as others said, sopped up about half a size of extra space, which was just what I needed. Unfortunately, the arch was in the wrong place for how my foot sits in my Docs, so they were really uncomfortable. You just have to try them to know if they'll work for you. I got a pair of Spenco insoles instead and they're perfect for me.

These insoles do the job, decreasing the effective size of your Docs by a half-size. But, they are oddly-shaped. They're a lot longer and narrower than my boots, despite being advertised as the same size. If my toes actually reached the end of the boots, I'd have had to trim them, but as it is, I just let the end curl up at the end of the shoe. I can't feel it, so it's fine. They're also narrower than my boots, despite being the same width, but it's really not noticeable with a decent pair of socks on. Just a note, these are not meant to add much/any cushion. They replace the original insole, or go in on top of it to make the shoes a half size smaller. They do this job, but perhaps not as well as could be. I'll probably see if some other inserts fit better next time.

Half sizes please? I ended up having to buy DMs that were a .5 size too large, of course, so I tried these insoles, which came highly recommended from a friend that had used them. they really helped with the fit on the foot bed, making it much much more comfortable for all day wear (still getting used to the hanging heel!!) but unfortunately do nothing to help my skinny legs fit into the tops of the boots (8 holes). All in all, a good product but maybe a boot specific insole that goes up the back? Not sure if that would help or not.

Not worth it. Though they fit perfectly, these barely offer any more comfort or support than the flat bed in the shoe.

Got insoles to help me cope with plantar fasciitis and to complement Doc Marten shoes and give support for my bedroom slippers. Before arrival, my wife gave me a pair of Dr. Scholl\'s. They are thicker, softer and provide more support and contour. Did not return Doc\'s insoles because it simply is not worth my time to do so.

Dr. Martins's Comfort Insole - Not happy with the insole. Very little arch support which dissapointed me. I could have purchased a much cheaper insole and received the same result.

I bought these in size UK 5 to put in my new UK 5 Mary Janes that are too big. I was quite surprised that they did not fit. I managed to jam the insole in but could not get it flat. I pulled out my old oxfords and could not get them in there either. Luckily Zappos is excellent when it comes to returns. On the floor they do feel like they could be comfortable but I really do not know.

It would seem these insoles would be great for standing around on your feet all day, because upon first use they seem very comfortable. I did not hesitate in deciding to use them after trying them out by putting them in my shoes and walking around a bit. However, there is a bogus seam going right across the ball of the foot, and the maddeningly painful blisters I got from that insole blew my mind. I couldn't finish the day with those insoles, and changed into flip flops which I limped around in. So, if you are going to be walking a lot, don't get these. Save yourself the pain.

For my foot these insoles are too firm and do not fit my arch correctly.

Don't know how much more "comfortable" they are, because I already thought my docs were comfortable. However I bought them to help fill my shoes out as there were a tad loose. Worked a treat - I actually wear the comfort insoles under the original insoles as I don't like the plastic feel on my feet, along with some padded bottom socks I got from an army surplus and my docs fit very snug now. Definitely an item to consider if you have narrow feet and can't get a good fit.
