This is the second pair of Clark's desert boots that I have ordered for my husband.They run true to size and he says they are the most comfortable shoes that he has ever worn. We are very happy with Zappos quality products and excellent service.

Classic, comfortable, versatile boots for a wide variety of occasions. You'll need inserts if you require arch support - they don't have a lot.

This is one of my favorite pairs of shoes hands down. As a girl, I get so many compliments on them wearing them around my college campus. Cuff your favorite pair of skinny jeans and throw on a flannel and you have a perfect fall outfit. I love wearing them with my hiking socks. They are so comfortable. I have had them for over a year, and its probably the best money that I have spent in a while. Go ahead. Just order them. You will not regret it.

The same Desert Boot you've known and loved now comes in colors. Zappos remains the best online. Great service, good prices and easy returns keeps me coming back. A good combination.

These are the much classier version of chukkas. I would recommend them for highly! The finish is nice enough to wear with business casual clothes. The crepe sole is interesting...it's very soft and gummy but appears to be compacting a bit. The color quickly turns black from the pavement. The uppers are stiffer than they look...while this shoe is very comfortable, it is a leather upper and leather insole type shoe that takes some breaking in. I have only worn these with dark socks, just to be safe. I assume the beeswax finish will need polishing down the road but they still look good after a few months.

Order a half size smaller. I wear a 10.5 and these fit great in a 10. Great boot, do need to break in a bit to get comfortable.

I'm a long time fan of Clarks and the Desert Boot is the archetypal style when it comes to a 'casual' look. My only problem was that when I placed my order (size 13) I received a pair that was a full size too big so I had to return them. Looking at other comments it would appear that the Clarks brand tends to run a little large so as a minimum you might want to consider ordering down a half size. In my case I had to go down a full size as there is no offering in a size 12 1/2. Otherwise a good shoe for the price though little arch support.

Great boots. They look good new and even better when they get scuffed up. They run really big so order at least a half a size down. My husband had to go a whole size smaller.

Thanks to the reviews, I picked the appropriate size. This is a very comfortable shoe, particularly the crepe sole, and serves its style purpose well.

I got these for boots Christmas and I like them alot. However they do run almost a size and a half to big. I highly suggest taking that into thought before buying these.

I love the shoes. They are sexy and casual; you can pretty much wear them for anything. My only suggestion is getting a half size or full size smaller than usual. I'm a 9.5 normally with other shoes and sneakers, but I'm wearing 8.5 desert boots. Strange, but doesn't matter to me. The desert boot is so comfortable and just a great pair to have.

This is a very nice shoe. I put them on right out of the box, and they were nice and comfortable. the only drawback was where they were made. It was not what I was expecting for the price. Yet they are well made. So overlooking that, I like them. I just think that knowing country of manufacture they could, or should, be cheaper.

I purchased these shoes to be worn with Khakis on a trip to Europe to give me a bit of a dress up option. I am happy to report they fit the bill perfectly. They are a little larger than most shoes that size, but with boot socks they fit true. I am very pleased.

Initially I ordered a pair of Sebagos Desert boots, but I could not handle the long toe, odd style, and delicate, fragile sole. Zappos was outstanding in their customer support, and allowed me to exchange the Sebagos for the Clarks Desert boots, and shipped them to me before I had even returned the Sebagos. Further, they were spot on in recommending the right size. Their customer service and expertise cannot be beat, even by walk in stores, and as such I will be buying shoes from them henceforth. The Clark Desert boots beat the more expensive Sebago version hands down. Initially they felt a little snug, but after only 30 minutes of wear they have relaxed and become incredibly comfortable. Support is fine, leather upper is attractive and seems high quality, and the soles appear durable and are supportive.

The Clarks Oakwood Suede Desert Boot is a truly incredible shoe. Not only does it look magnificent, but it feels great too. Zappos got it to me fast as well. There is one thing I would recommend to anyone, which is this: get a size that is smaller by a half. I'm typically a 9.5, so with this particular model I ordered a size 9 and it fits perfectly. Five stars!

Best boots ever! I like the style, you can wear these with almost everything and they only get better with age. This my 5th pair of these and I wear them almost everyday except in the snow.

Great shoe, looks good and the beeswax color gives it a cool broken in look as the leather stretches and bends when you walk. Once broken in, they become super comfortable.

I am somewhat addicted to the Desert Boot, but this is my first non leather model. It takes them a little bit longer to break them in then the leather models but they are quite comfortable. They are very black, especially with the black sole, I threw on some yellow laces which make them a little more fun.

I just received my desert boots. I followed the advice of ordering a half shoe size smaller. I usually wear a size 8.5. I ordered size 8. They are a perfect fit. They are not stiff or uncomfortable as some others have stated. They are really nice. My only complaint (a minor one) is that the lace holes are a little low on the shoes. Very satisfied with my purchase. Zappos is a pleasure to do business with.

These are my new favorite shoes...so much more comfortable than dr martens and they're perfect if you don't have wide, fat feet...as far as sizing, get a half size down from your normal shoe size...if you want to risk it, and don't like having any room in your shoes, then get a full size down...but i really wouldn't suggest it! i could see it probably being okay at first, but you would definitely regret it after a full day of wearing these... i wanted these after i saw steve mcqueen wearing them and i'm so glad i bought this particular version (in taupe distressed suede, which is a true brown color, unlike the 'brown suede' which is almost black) compared to the cheaper 'bushacre' version...the desert boot is really worth the money and is very comfortable...i have no problem wearing these all day and they were comfortable right out of the box...speaking of which, they come in a nice box with classic clarks artwork and a booklet is included telling of the history of clarks and the desert boot in particular...definitely buy these shoes...they look great and you'll definitely stand out from everyone else wearing their boring boat shoes and nike's!

I bought these for my husband and he loves them! I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than his normal size and they fit well. Some things I've noticed: The leather discolors when it's strained (as soon as be put them on the area above his big toe looked lighter. also there were some lines across the top of his foot, where his toes flex). i thought this would be a problem-one that i was planning to solve with polish-but those lighter areas have blended nicely and they just look broken in, not odd. also, the soft rubber tread is really discolored from street wear. not a problem b/c these are not intended to be dressy shoes, but if that's what you're looking for go with another shoe.
