I have worn Clarks Natureveldts in the past which I purchased while living in California in the late 90's and 2000's. I am a Doctor in my forties and stay on my feet throughout the entire day. Although my first pair that were purchased took a period of break in time like a baseball glove, they were always comfortable and molded to my feet. Maybe from the quality leather used at the time. With that being said, I ended up purchasing two more pair in different colors. I truly have never had a shoe fit so well and be so comfortable. I actually could tell when I wore something other than my Clarks. They were not as easy on my feet throughout the day. I literally put hundreds of miles on my Naturveldts over a six to eight year period. One day many years later I felt as if I needed to change my style of shoe wardrobe so I gave all my Natureveldts to Goodwill. Over ten years later I got past the style phase and noticed a pair of Clarks on the internet. I truly could not believe my eyes. Immediately I purchased a pair and called my wife to inform her that I was back in business. Excitement was in the air but would be short lived. Upon receiving the Natureveldts in the mail, I felt as if I were at a drive-thru window and didn't get my correct order and was already down the road several miles. The newer Natureveldts are cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap. As soon as I picked them up, I could see that they were not of the old craftsmanship from the past. The leather was soft and flexible compared to the old sturdy ones. When I walked it sounded like I was wearing a pair of cowboy boots on a hard surface. The inner portion of the shoe other than the sole is extremely cheaply made and has a short life written all over it. I can't believe one could take in my opinion the best shoe and turn it into junk. I don't see how Clarks would put their name on it. Bring back the old ones and you will have a customer for life. Until then, I'll just hold off in great disappointment.

Like many many others ahead of my review, I too have been wearing this style from Clarks' for a very long time - almost 25 years! When they disappeared a few years ago I did not know what to get as the original Natureveldts were incredibly well designed and well made shoe - easily lasting years while still providing comfort and very good appearance retention. I just bought a new pair and I hope that they live up to what I had come to expect. Like some other reviewers, I do not think that making them cheaper will win any loyalty. I would gladly pay more to have the original quality assured in these shoes. As anyone reading these reviews can see, there is a tremendous following among those of us who are stuck with wide feet. The current management of Clarks will only shoot themselves in the foot (pun intended) if they mistakenly think that this style is somehow going to lose its fan base as many of us die off. Not so, they should never forget that for each customer for this sort of shoe lost, a new one is coming up to take their place as the word gets passed around about what a great shoe fulfilling a great need this is. They may not be trendy, but they certainly could be a bread and butter shoes for them for a long time to come.

I have been buying the Natureveldt for 15 years. When I first bought this shoe it was being produced in Europe. That is no longer the case and I resent having to pay top dollar for an item being produced in China. I don't have any problem with buying something from China but why doesn't the cost of the shoe come down? The answer to this question is corporate profits. Clarks have found a way to get their products manufactured in China and I am sure that this has greatly increased their profit margin as have the majority of western companies in this world. The shoes that I ordered seem to be fine but I will make an effort to find a replacement that does not come from China.

I hope Clarks never stop making this shoe. I just received my 2015 pair, which replaces the pair I bought in 2004 and tramped around Europe in three times, in addition to wearing almost daily except in summer. The old pair is still okay, just softened up like a slipper and I want the old support back. Obviously the shoe is incredibly well made. I wear a women's 11M and I take the 10 1/2 mens size, which I believe is the standard conversion. I love the spacious toe box and everything about this shoe.

The quality is poor and the material is cheap. Bad purchase for the price..feels like a $60 shoe. Clark has outsourced themselves into a has been brand.

I owned a pair for several years. I put them on the other day, went out and walked into a store noticing that both shoes suddenly seemed loose. Sitting down I could not believe my eyes. Both shoes had literally broken in half on the bottom and when I stood back up, literally the top of the shoe completely separated from the bottom - spilling foam and other internal build bits all over the floor I walked out of the store in my socks! I have never seen anything like this in my life!

Unlike everyone else here, I have just started wearing these shoes. I have got a number of problems with one of my feet - arthritis, bunion, hammertoes, etc. - and it is difficult finding shoes that accommodate my feet. These shoes are fantastic. They are incredibly comfortable, and I can walk pain free for hours. Note that I do take out the innersole and use orthotics. My only complaint is that they are heavy and not all that attractive. But they work!

I've been wearing Clarks (specifically the "natureveldt") since the early nineties. My immediate impression was "like a pair of 'Nike Airs' for casual and business dress down". These are great shoes. I have been wearing them for decades! I miss the "high-tops" but my wife had a pair of ladies oxfords, and I just bought a pair for one of my sons. Did I mention longevity? These kicks last. Durable & great wearing. If you take care of them, they will continue to look great as they age. I have since worn and today wear other Clark products with similar satisfaction.

These are great shoes. The original sole wore out recently so I was thinking about a replacement. However, I found out that you can get these resoled by mail. I did so recently and have my old comfy shoes back with a brand new sole. Cost was decent. The company is Resole America. It took about two weeks. It was great not having to throw a pair of shoes away just because they needed resoling.

Theses are well made comfortable shoes with a fair commensurate price. Don't go off the deep end reading reviews that seem to begin with," these aren't the same shoes that were made 50 years ago...", so what is ? Yes they are not made in England by underpaid ,exploited Irish nationals. So what is made in England anymore ? Hell even Bentleys and Rolls are owned and partially made in Germany. They are not the same size as shoes worn 40 years ago ,largely because after 40 years your feet aren't the same size or shape. Look if you want authentic British handmade shoes just drop money on a pair of Church's shoes. These are great shoes for the price.

I'm a barber and am on my feet for at least 8 hours a day, so I have always needed to take care of my feet. I have worn this Clarks shoe to work for over 40 years. The shoe is comfortable, gives me good support, and wears well. I would highly recommend this shoe.

This is my second pair of these. Shoe is very comfy, leather is soft. Was searching for these for a while now an couldn't find them. Thank god they came back. If you really need a shoe that you could walk around for a long period of time, this is the shoe to buy. Trust me is like walking on pillows.

These fit perfectly right out of the box, I almost hate to wear a different pair of shoes. I wear a 9 1/2 D and have a wide foot and sometimes look for a 9 E, but the 9 1/2 D fit perfectly. This is not my first pair of Clarks, I had the almost identical model twice before. These fit better than the previous two.

I love this shoe. The extended stitch design is perfect for the guy who tends to wear the outside of his shoes out. The deep heel is great if you add a custom orthotic and the blucher yoke is very adaptable to the girthy foot. However, with Clarks I'd go up 1/2 to 1 size for the best fit.

I purchased these shoes just before going on a vacation where we did a lot of walking. No breaking in was required and they were very comfortable. I wear a wide (double E) and they fit perfectly. I found the quality of the shoe to be excellent and equal to previous Clark shoes I have purchased.

Great shoes. I am glad Clarks produced this model again. I bought my first pair in Ireland. They were made in Portugal. They were of much higher craftsmanship than the current Natureveldt. However, the current Natureveldt is just as comfortable. I am not sure they will last as long. According to my wife, that may be a good thing. She prefers replacing shoes more often than I do.

After having a pair of Natureveldt for 25 years, they finally bit the dust. I wasn't sure they would still be available, but sure am glad they are. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and they have a very simple design.

Are you a high school English or history teacher? No problem! With this iconic shoe from Clarks, everyone on the street will mistake you for one. While the style may not be new, bold or exciting, this classic oxford is so dorky looking that it is actually attractive! In terms of construction you couldn't ask for better. The soles are think and can take a beating. If you stand all day, they will absorb the impact of walking and standing on concrete. The uppers are full grain leather. Not that laminated garbage lesser brands sell. The biggest problem I have with this shoe is the support. I put a Birkenstock Blue footbed in mine to stay supported.

I love my Clark Natureveldts -
My first pair of Natureveldts were very comfortable and were worn heavily for about two years. The stitching that attaches the sole to the uppers started coming loose. I contacted Clarks and they asked me to send them end for repair/replacement. In about a week, I got a new pair in the mail. I'm still wearing those and have a spare pair stashed in the closet. They are clearly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

These shoes are the best and they look great. I purchased them for my 75 year old father, we had a difficult time selecting a comfortable pair of shoes when we found these we were very satisfied. They are non slip, soft leather, light weight, and extremely comfortable. We liked them so much we ordered another pair right away.

Excellent service -
My husband has been wearing Clarks Natureveldt shoes for more than 25 years. It has become quite a challenge to locate them locally (even in a 65 mile radius). I was pleased to find them on your web site. The customer rep was extremely helpful and the shoes arrived the next day! Thank you for such good and prompt service.

Natureveldt For Wide Feet -
Few manufacturers have shoes for wide feet. I've been wearing Clarks Natureveldt for 30 years now, and they continue to be made wide. Love them. They fit great and look good. I just wish Clarks would have more of their styles in wide.
