I have worn this shoe for probably 20 years now, usually the nubuck. Yes, the back strap is tighter than in previous incarnations, but this is a plus for me. I ended up returning this shoe because the leather is a bit stiffer than the nubuck and I have gotten used to it, I guess.

I love Zappos! And also Clarks Sunbeat sandals. But I must return the pair of black nubuck ones I received today. As many other customers have reported, the heel strap is way too short, not allowing the foot to properly seat in the shoe, which forces your toes to be hanging off of the front! I cannot imagine why Clark has not remedied this situation which has been going on for almost 2 years! I personally have returned 2 pairs, and also sent a letter to Clarks complaining! Poor, or no quality control at the manufacturing site obviously. The second pair I also received today in another color was fine! Wake up Clarks! You're losing customers! Quality in general has declined since the shoes are made in China, both workmanship and materials. What a pity, I would gladly pay a few bucks more to get the find shoes we used to get from Clarks.

I have worn this style for years, and have it in different colors. These I purchased for my 11 year old daughter. Our vacation included a lot of walking. At first, she did not like them, and insisted on wearing a ballet flat. The predictable blisters occurred! She happily wore the Clarks the rest of the trip and the rest of the summer. They were cute with capris, and the skorts she likes to wear.

I read other reviews that felt the fit was different since the shoes started to be made in China. I thought the fit was true, the only difference I noticed from my pair of sandals purchased years ago was that the leather straps were thinner, not so sturdy in feel.

I like the style and loved the old fashion buckles. Although I don't have arch they will still be very comfortable to wear. One drawback, they don't "give" when your feet swell. I don't know if this has something to with the material (suede) or the buckles. I still recommend these shoes. If your feet swell, you'll have to adjust the buckles.

These have to be the best sandals of all time. I had a pair years ago, and I literally wore them out. I was so sad that couldn't wear them anymore, and I couldn't find them in the store. Thank goodness for Zappos. These shoes look great with jeans, shorts, or a skirt. And they are so comfortable. I like all Clarks sandals, but these are the very best. They run true to size.

Years ago I bought a pair of sandals that were so comfortable and lasted quite awhile. I tried but never could find a more comfortable pair. This is my 2nd pair in the mushroom new buck color. It is an outstanding walking shoe, excellent true to size fit, lightweight, good support, and attractive.
It's very versatile too -- you can wear it with pants, skirts, shorts, or casual dresses. I wish there were more colors in the smooth tanned leather, though.

I grabbed these sandals at a great price over the New Year's weekend. I have had several of this brand/style during the past decade, and I keep wearing them out and buying new ones.
Lightweight, great support, great fit (I am 11-W), great service, at a great price.
The color, though, is just a little darker than what appears in the photo -- but it is still a beautiful rich brown that will wear well with many clothes/colors.
