Great comfort - miss those cool colours! Clarks talk about their "Springer" line being engineered for walking comfort, and it really does seem to work. They're not the cutest sandals, but they make up for it in comfort. I have them in navy, red, black patent and yellow, and I wish I'd bought more colours while they were still available.

I compared these to Clark Sunbeat sandals of supposedly the same size and width as ordered two years ago. These are a full size longer than the previous ones and are not wide width. Sorry, the leather was not the same quality either. The same applies to the Bronze color. Very disappointing!

This is my 2nd pair of Clark's Sunbeat. The first pair was made in Italy and were perfect and never rubbed blisters on my feet. So soft and comfortable. The last pair I bought over a year ago were made in CHINA. They hurt my toes and they rub. I will never buy sandals from China ever again. I wore them in the house and they were fine, but until I wore them out walking in stores and malls, I did not know that they would rub blisters. Can't return them. Clarks just lost another customer. So disappointed.

I ordered a pair of these from a competitor website as my first pair got stuck in a door and actually broke in half. When the replacement pair arrived the soles made a dark, gooey footprint on my linoleum that I had to scrub up. Then I tried them on again and the entire sole crumbled and collapsed! Anybody else had this experience? I really loved my first pair and am hoping that my third pair (from this website) will be better. Strangest pair of shoes I've ever had.

I love Clarks Sunbeat Sandals, I have several pair, the are comfortable and fit well. I used to have a pair in yellow and I wish they would make them in that color, so I could buy another pair.

Cracking sole but comfortable I have about ten colors in this style. They are comfortable from the first wear. However, the soles just fall apart suddenly. To pay this much for a sandal and have the upper part look like new and the sole deteriorate is frustrating, especially since, as a person who had Polio, I find that are the best sandals for my feet in comfort and balance. There is a seriuous problem with durability.

Problem with cracking sole. I have the white ones but also 2 pair of the British Tan Leather Sunbeat 2 #33025. My first pair I got about 3 years ago and then last summer I got another pair of the British Tan. I was walking through the Mall last night and heard my shoe making a noise but didn't check it out until I returned home and found there is 3 cracks in the ball of the sole of the left shoe. One is 1" and the other two are 3/4" most of the way across the shoe. Then I checked the older pair and have cracks in the same place on the right shoe. I was wondering if there is anyplace I could send the shoes to have them checked out to get them replaced. For the cost of the shoes it seems like they should last over a year.

I was looking for heavy duty all terrain summer sandals. These were half a size too short because it appeared that the ankle strap (non adjustable) was pushing my foot forward. Also, what exactly is Nubuck? It seems to be some type of extremely thin leather, not something you want in sturdy sandals. If it was a higher quality leather, I would have ordered a size larger and been satisfied, but it is not.

Although, this is exactly the sandal I was looking for, I wore them today for the first time and the balls of both feet are so sore, it is painful to walk. Reluctantly, I feel that I must return the shoes.

These sandals were cushy, with nice soft leather, but the heel strap is too short. This forced my foot so far forward that my toes were right at the end of the shoe. So, I'm returning them so I don't stub my toes.

I've been wearing these sandals for decades and the quality has gone downhill. On my latest pair, the thin cheap lining on the footbed rubbed off in one summer of partial use. It's so hard to find adjustable flat sandals, especially in narrow and with a backstrap, that I'm replacing them, but my advice to anyone who has a normal shape foot that can fit a normal range of styles is, don't buy these! Sadly, they're no longer reliable.

I have bought this model before and loved it, but they have changed the top layer, which is now a thin fabric that has peeled off with maybe 15 wearings, leaving a far less comfortable under-surface which is also starting to erode. That is very disappointing, and surprising for Clarks.

I have a pair of Sunbeat that are about 6 years old. The inside is made of smooth leather. This shoe has an inside made of think fare suede - one shoe was comfortable one gave me a blister within an hour they are going back. What is wrong is cheap construction.

I had a pair of these sandals. They were comfortable, but after only one (short) season of wear the whole bottom liner started coming off and curling up. I would except that from cheap shoes, but not from Clarks. very disappointed and not likely to buy Clarks again.

Well, this is it. Clarks and I are history. I tried a size 12, one size larger than my usual, and although the straps were sufficiently long enough this time to reach into the buckle when expanded to the last notch, there was a good 1/2 inch more of the back heel than my foot needed -- which made me look like I was wearing Mommy's high heels. Plus as another reviewer noted, the back strap does not come up high enough on the heel and feels distinctly uncomfortable. I am so disappointed that my favorite shoe is no longer being made properly. I love the style, they were always the most comfortable shoes I owned, but never again will I buy a Clarks shoe in any style.

Zappos, as always, was great. But these shoes in fake croco are just too cheap and tacky looking to ever wear.

After wearing and enjoying 2 pairs of Sunbeat (leather and black nubuck), I ordered 3 pairs from Zappos (black, navy and sand nubuck) and have had the newer pairs for about 1 year. The workmanship on all 3 pairs is definitely no longer worth the price. I wore the black pair about 4 times, but the back strap is too short and pushes my foot too far forward. The insole on the other 2 pairs is coming up from the bed of the shoe. The 2 pairs I had the longest have had none of these problems. I won't buy this style of shoe again.

These were horrible. The leather is stiff and actually hurts when you walk (even though the shoes aren't tight). And they aren't flattering at all on my long feet. They'll be returned.

Ordered a full size larger than my normal size and the shoes fit beautifully. I had previously purchased the same sandals from a store in my area and they ran small. That, as well as a review with Zappos, encouraged me to order the larger size. Am so happy that I did!

My old pair -- same style -- will wear out soon after 10 years! I was so happy to find it on Zappos again or I'd have to go barefoot! I love this sandal!

I had actually bought these at a local shoe store. They were so comfortable and I was so excited over them! At the store and the 1st time I wore them, I didn't notice any problems. But the 2nd time I wore them I noticed a little bump under my big toe on the right foot where the top of the shoe is tucked in under the sole of the shoe. Each time I wore them it became more uncomfortable until it finally turned into pain and I could not wear the sandal anymore. I returned them to the shoe store where I bought them and thought it was just a defect on that particular pair of shoes. So I ordered another pair through Zappos, because on my left foot they were the most comfortable sandals and on my right foot except for that one spot! Much to my dismay, this pair has the same defect and I am sadly returning them.

Very comfortable. A sandal that you can wear all day. The soles offer support and after several wears mold to your feet, offering additional support, if you have problems (corns, bunions, etc) you can adjust the strips for added comfort.

I put on a pair of Clarks Sunbeat in tan leather I've had a few years. As I got out of the car to go into the store I noticed that the soles were disintegrating into a mess of black foam in the car. I immediately went home and changed my shoes and threw them in the trash. What would do that? The car mats had to be washed. They wouldn't sweep clean. Good thing I was close to home. These are my travel shoes. I have several pairs. What if I had been on a trip with just these shoes? Good grief.

Old faithfuls! This is probably my 8th pair of these sandals purchased over the years. I have them in several colors and when I have worn them to pieces I just keep replacing them.
