Great housework slipper! I stumbled upon these by accident on Zappos, and after reading some reviews I was convinced these are the same slippers my Mom had in the early Seventies. I ordered a pair for myself and my mother - they are great and we both love them. We got the pewter color - actually kind of chic! They are extremely comfortable and just perfect for when you are on your feet a lot - cooking and/or cleaning and the rubber sole makes them great for going out to the basement, garage, getting the mail, etc.

I have worn these slippers for many, many years and I am happy that they continue to make them. Proof of a good product.

Comfy, cozy, & long lasting. These shoes are very comfortable. I own a few pair, each in a different color.

House Shoes For My mother - My mother lives in Mississippi. She was unable to find this shoe anywhere. There were stores in Chicago at some time, but now they are gone. I found this site while searching the net. I ordered and this was exactly what she wanted. The size, the fit was perfect. When she needs more I know where to come. Thank you.

Dream Slippers - I ordered the "cheetah" pattern slippers (Dormie style) by Daniel Green. It's very difficult to find narrow shoes, much less slippers. These are a perfect fit and look great with my ivory robe! Thanks to all at Zappos! You give fabulous customer service!!!!!

Daniel Green's Dormie - I was looking for a comfortable open-toed slipper with a sole suitable for outdoors as well as inside, so that I wouldn't have to change footwear to go get the mail, and at a reasonable price. This slipper fits all my criteria, and it's attractive.

This is a yearly gift - Although this is a gift, I always buy this slipper for my mother and myself. The price was great and they fit fine. Can not find in any store.

Deceptively comfy!! My Mom wore the Dormie for years while I chose the cloth slipper. I got a pair for Christmas one year and I WAS HOOKED. Soft cushion wherever there is contact with your foot.

Hard-to-find slipper - I could not find this "Daniel Green's Dormie" slipper in a 10WW, in any Chicago-land store. Was able to get it thru Zappos-the color and the size I needed. I am very, very, satisfied!

Great substantial sole and stylish - My favorite slippers ever, especially the gold pastel rainbow colors. My husband loves to see me in them! I had a broken foot, and the soles are substantial enough that I can wear them without pain or twisting my foot on uneven edges. I wear them all the time at home because they are so comfortable and do well on all types of floors--and I even wear them grocery shopping or to the post office! A timeless style. I wear them 1/2 size less than my usual shoe size.

Comfy slippers! I am wearing my Dormies as I write and they are comfy, comfy! Although I found them to be an entire size larger than marked, I returned them and ordered one size down and they're perfect!

Dormie From Daniel Green - I am trying to find the Dormie in a higher wedge heel. I have owned (several pairs) this slipper for over 45 years but cannot find the higher wedge heel any longer. Any chance of finding it somewhere? I am answering the below for the higher wedge as I have never worn the lower wedge, I like them higher. Please help! And thanks.

Comfortable and in good colors - This slipper is really comfortable and has a sole that is light weight but doesn't slip on hardwood floors/tile surfaces. When around the house, I wear slippers all day. These are easy on my feet and my floors. They were available in my size and color choice. I wear a five and a half. Zappos has my size and department stores usually don't.

Comfortable & Professional - I love wearing this shoe to work. It is very comfortable and still looks professional.

A Classic - My 83 year old mother loves and will only wear Daniel Green's Dornmie. They are extremely comfortable and have a nice look. It is the same slipper that her mother use to wear. She wears a size 5 and it is a hard size to come by. We wish we could get pink or blue but they don't seem to be available. I buy her a new pair for her birthday and Christmas every year.

Daniel Green Slipper Review - I've worn this brand of slippers for years. It's very hard to find the style in regular department stores. The slipper is comfortable and resists moisture. The service from Zappos was terrific. I ordered the slippers on line in the afternoon and they arrived at my house within 24 hours.

LOVE this slipper! I have been wearing Dormies for the last 40 years and quite frankly, I just cannot find a more comfortable, long wearing and all around GREAT house shoe. I even wear them out in the yard and occasionally, to the grocery store. A word of caution though, the pewter is a little more gold than the picture shows. It looks almost like a burnished gold.... kinda like a mixture of silver and gold. The best color to go with all your lingerie. And how many slippers come in a slender?

Sensible upgrade to slippers - It's exactly what I was looking for - around the house slipper-shoe that matches most of my PJ/Lounging clothes w/a reasonable heel and non-slippery sole.
